  • Plant it little dude!!! :o I think the new Lorax will be as great as this one.. except hopefully we will see someone plant it in that one.. GORGE I 3 Dr. Suess :)

  • I remember Cartoon Network showing this around 1995 or 1996 on "Mr. Spim's Cartoon Theatre"

  • I Showed This In !972 From The CBS Film Library In West Nyack NY.

  • 11:15 is so touching :'C. If we could only live without technology :C

  • I absolutely in love with this movie, have Ben since I was a child and I'm 17 now. Great theme and a great story

  • many people dont realize how awesome this is. this is the complete truth of modern corporate ideas. and the meaning of unless is the most true thing ive ever heard. they should put it in the dictionary as Dr Seuss wrote it

  • thumbs up if your watching for HW

  • @jmatteisvideos1 What's hw?

  • @Zistheone2 Homework

  • I wish I could buy a Oncelermobile... I imagine it would be like an Oldsmobile, but even more fancy... Anyway, I always loved the way Dr. Seuss drew cars, and I'd practice drawing them from his books. His cars were real streamlined, but kind of funky too!

  • The sad thing is today there are too many Once-lers...possibly even the late great Steve Jobs.

  • Don't worry, Obama is the one who cares a whole awful lot. he'll get rid of us all because of the Once-ler, then sanitize the lands then go to his seed vault and begin to bring back the Lorax.

  • @Bobberlyisem Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum, no.

  • @supmandude Ohh yeah, that's Billy G to the 8's.

  • @Bobberlyisem GOOD LUCK WITH THAT THOUGHT LOL

  • What I always wondered was did the Lorax send the barbaloo bears and the swanny swans and the humming fish all to the same place or each to a separate location?

  • This made me freaking cry when I watched this. I was eight and now, I'm with an environmentalist to improve our Earth. This needs to be shown to our children that if we continue to overuse the resources on our delicate jewel called Earth, we won't have it anymore.

  • @FluffMaster101 Totally, you can be sure they don't read this one to kids in kindergarten anymore.

  • @TheBookWorm1718 - Actually, my niece who is watching this saw it in school. She is in kindergarden.

  • @KimSturman Well that's good to know. I feel pretty confident in saying they wouldn't bother with it here, they can't have kids thinking in the schools here, that's not what schools are for, here they're just to play games and nap, and this extends into high school.

  • @KimSturman haha I am in seventh grade and we watched it.

  • This is our HISTORY Hw...

  • @UrMomComputer Me too

  • I find it really annoying how you never get to see his face.

  • @cbssayingcbs: You don't see the faces of anyone who produces or buys a thneed. We are all responsible, not just the Oncelers, for what we do and how we leave the world.

  • @fatboy7609 That's how I viewed this.

  • the line, "i hear things are as bad in lake Erie" was originally banned from this. censorship. they claimed it gave lake Erie a bad name. in fact, the original airing of this was one factor in getting the lake cleaner eventually. SO this little cartoon helped the lake get clean.

  • @bradford71us Now there's something you never hear about. people underestimate what a little knowledge can do.

  • @TheBookWorm1718 Some schools removed this from the libraries and I think to myself, why? Children today are wasteful of what they have and besides watching old episodes of Captain Planet, they need to watch this and read the book. It could teach the new generation something.

  • @TheBookWorm1718 besides that it was the logging industry which sued him.....claiming it hurt logging and gave kids a bad impression. in logging areas entire families black balled his work, even kids. funny that NOW the tide has turned in an environmental direction.....while he made this is 1971.....

  • do you agree with " onceler"? why

  • I still hear it's rather grody ^^* But hey it's an improvement right? :)

  • "I hear things are just as bad in lake Erie" this made me lol because from what I hear is true ^^*

  • @AnimeChibi90

It was true when this movie was made, but not anymore. Lake Erie has since been cleaned up.

  • @zvermilyer3 I still haven't tried to go in it much myself, but then I hardly go out to lakes much.

  • @AnimeChibi90 It's always true.

  • For whatever reason I think it's hilarious when he smacked the cigar out of his hand @3:00

  • I always watched this on Earth Day in Elementary School... I also own it too. :)

  • Thanks for uploading all these dr. seuss cartoons in HD. been wanting to watch them! totally never realized how dark the lorax story is! I hope the film version of it will be good!
