  • absolute rhetoric

  • no body has suffered like the black man yadda yadda yadda the chip is still in the shoulder and he is gonna keep it there

  • he's pissing in the wind

  • Cornell West has gone nuts.

  • Dr. Cornel West, staunch Marxist and hence - supreme enemy of America.

Scary how so many of you harbour such traitorous viewpoints! God shall save us from this terror.

  • @IlluminatedSaint ur a blind patriot one who is living in a illusion.u must embrace life w open arms and stop opressing those u dont agree w.we are all sharing this planet and if u wanna make it a better place u must open ur mind or leave for the moon." the man just uped my rent today while whitey's on the moon" haha

but seriously the religion u speak of has been overly manipulated to the point of u becoming an extremist whos indenial stop fallowing get creative

it makes u more of a individual

  • @tanvo93 Restore the Constitutional Republic! Fight tyranny! Don't succumb to Marxist nonsense.

How did it work for Eastern Europe?

    How about Cuba?

    How about USSR?

    How about North Korea?

    Even China is abandoning it!

  • @IlluminatedSaint how is outsourcing working for all the factory workers all over the world? ur considered less than product over there..look who controls the country because of the free market..corporations

the USSR was "socialist" but they never practiced it

socialism is when people own the means of production..the govt controlled that in there case

socialism has never been put in place rather used as a tool to trick people

fact is capitalism only works w socialism. if u want true equality

  • @tanvo93 Outsourcing is not part of a Constitutional Republic. Outsourcing is something being done by corporations, who exist outside of the government. The role of the government is to get out of the way so that the best companies are allowed to thrive and rise to the top! Now we have a bunch of Marxist leaning politicians trying to regulate commerce and hence, outsourcing.

Capitalism ensures equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. You want the gov't to rig the game so we have equal outcomes

  • @IlluminatedSaint thats also false. the game of capitalism is wwhy we outsource..whats better for a business to thrive? 10.00 an hour for workers or 28 c an hour for workers..duh..letting govt. get out of the way is why they left

    and equal opportunity? come on

if capitalism is a foot race black people start way way way behind the starting line..

if we had strict capitalism the human race would end pretty quickly..to put in simple terms

  • I love listening to Dr. West speak. He is very intelligent and passionate. I also find his inclusion of gays and lesbians in his speach very refreshing, as a nonchristian he has helped chang my opinion on religion for the better.

  • @SmokenTotalled so have I

did it take u to a whole nother level too?

i felt spiritual..closer to myself it was amazing

  • the world needs more men like Dr West .......

  • i am a big fan of Dr. Cornell West and James David Manning

  • you notice it says Cornell West not Doctor Cornell West

  • Living in the poor/poverty part of Oahu, Hawaii--it almost seems that I am lying. Hawaii is a beautiful place to be if one is impoverished-true. Thus the under the bushes life for children, women and the weak elderly. Native Hawaiian policies changed from single family to density--that spelled out the conditions of human experience where African American people downtrodden exist in Hawaii. An answer to the why question. Violence and child abuses exist along side the African plight in Hawaii

  • Just found out he is my cousin.

  • Wonderfully put, his is a calling that is socratic and prophetic!

  • any democrat would have beat mccain like if you agree

  • Dr. West is waiting for a few bones in his pandering to African Americans and he knows damn well OBAMA is bought lock , stock and barrel by A. Banking Cabal & Military Industrial Complex .

Oh Obama , will toss a few bones to the masses , min wage , gays in military , BUT , BUT on the BIG ISSUES , he's pushing more surveillance , more militarism & more power to Federal Reserve for the NEW WORLD ORDER .

  • It is a shame the that they never play the whole thing or give the title of his sermon with can be purchase on amazon.

  • @kingdragon702 true true, but there will always be skeptics which is why we shouldn't focus on the kinks ahead but the goal. Yeah, i know about the terrorism and all the other things that plague the world, but that is the reason why faith is the catalyst for true change. A friend once told me that change lies not in the hands of the reasonable man but the unreasonable man as because he is the difference.

  • @kingdragon702 that may change in future if that's the case. excuse my ignorance of that fact, i've familiar with many governmental systems that i sometimes forget that fact...but with the rate at which america is changing with the large influx of immigrants, that could be a pressing issue. But with regard to the indian thing, don't get confused semantically. When i say indians *as cowboys called them*, I mean native americans..ambiguous i know but i do know the difference.

  • @kingdragon702 speaks against that, it can always be amended..afterall, we do live in a democratic society no matter how flawed.

  • @kingdragon702 indians own this country originally...when the continents were close together asians crossed over to america and later became native to it hence the name native americans. And you don't have to be a national born american citizen to be the president. You simply have to be an american by citizenship here for a very long time. If immigrants can get green cards and later become citizens eligible to vote, they can become leaders as they also need representation. If the consititution

  • @MrDeverly1 Very few, if even one, Native Americans claim ownership of the soil and sea. This is a white myth. They don't want it, and do you not see how history and petroleum-lust show how greed and land-theft is not a good thing?

  • What wisdom?

  • @TSmirk

No wisdom, just a stream of rhetorical BS. Remind you of anyone?

  • PEOPLE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY! ALL RELIGIONS = DIVISION = WAR! YOU CAN BELIEVE in GOD, ALLAH, or WHATEVER IF YOU WISH. ALLAH OR GOD = CREATOR. CREATOR OF ALL IF YOU BELIEVE. IN FACT, ALL RELIGIONS GET THEIR CONCEPTS FROM KEMET (EGYPT). THE KEMET OF 4000-8000BC. KEMET WAS NOT RELIGIOUS BUT WAS VERY SPIRITUAL. THEY HAD 42 COMMANDMENTS NOT JUST 10. THEY WHERE NOT "THOU SHALL NOT" BUT "I HAVE NOT" COMMITTED 42 SINS. DO RESEARCH! DON'T LET THEM DIVIDE US FOR POWER! LOVE AND PEACE TO ALL ON EARTH!!

  • @bigpimpn2k7 There were actually 630 something commandments... The first 10 just encompassed the heart of the commandments

  • @CrwnPrinceI really? where'd you find that at? I'm curious.

  • met him at a play in Manhattan to day. he was so calm and cool. didnt ask for no special treatment. Real dude.

  • Is it strange for a 30 yr old white male living in NW America to feel incredibly moved, intrigued and impressed by Cornel? That man speaks truth so naturally that he makes everyone else around him look uneducated lol...

  • @ben2point0 if your worldview is still racialized it's strange... but no this guy is just illuminating

  • First Black Pres. praise is MEANINGLESS .

OBAMA is advancing next stage of New World Order ( watch video of Kissinger praising him and his role ).

He's bought and paid for by SAME power structure that buys and controls EVERY president and Corny West thinks one half black guy is changing all that , changing the power elites , only a FOOL believes that .

The Military Industrial Complex and Wall Street don't give damn if a goat was in charge as long as they get what THEY want !

  • @franz909 In the movie made by Jason Bermas called Invisible empire. Dr. West is in this movie at a debate yelling for a New World Order & he was saying it needs to be now. And in that same movie Oprah Winfrey was in attendance at a secret meeting. Please see this movie.

  • Thought it was one nation under God that has changed as God is illegal to bring up but a One Muslim under an Obamanation is ok?

Why hasn't an Indian been president? They were in line way before and are for nature instead of some foreign religion.

Take a closer look as they knew that to control is to be controlled. Bring home our troops and lead by example not force.

  • Uh...Who's a Muslim? Obama isn't.

And nobody has mandated that an Indian (Native American) can't be a U.S. President. Has an Indian with any real Financial Backing ever Ran??

    Well?

  • where does God damn the hated if gays and lesbians? He in fact hates it and we are supposed to hate what god hates maybe not the people themselves but the practice.

  • This vato looks like Grady from Sanford and Son.....lol

  • That's a strong juxtaposition, Brother Papicholo.

  • @nonplayerzealot4 Hey,I like Grady....

  • Words of wisdom. Thanks for posting.

  • every month besides african american history month and native american/indian month IS white history month.

  • @plokijpoiu

George Washington and Columbus are now outcasts in this once fair land. They are now bad guys while the Black Panthers are heroes. In short, they don't teach White history anymore. Further, a White History Month would give all Americans a chance to CELEBRATE the achievements of White people. Don't you see the value in that?

  • actually this was never a "once fair land"...well i guess before the english came and killed all the natives. i think ur missing the point of the black panthers, they fight for black equality and equal justice, when have you ever heard of a gang of black panthers killing whites just because of there skin color? they teach white history ALL the time, i mean there on the damn money for god sake! white people receive more credit and celebration than u seem to give up in this short debate...-->

  • take for example the way george washington is viewed, "the founder of this great nation" when in fact he was a white supremacist who supported the genocide of the natives of this land. what they dont teach you is that africans were here long before columbus, proof of that are the nok head sculptures. lol if it wasnt for the history of whites we wouldnt have needed the civil rights movement, if anything whites need a month that highlights the millions they killed to make this country "theirs"

  • @poiuplokij

Let me get this straight. You are calling George Washington a "white surpremacist" who supported genocide! Holy fuck!

  • ah, NOT THE PRECIOUS FOUNDER OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY!!!??? dont tell me i struck a nerve. how can you NOT be a white supremacist when you own black slaves and supported the murder of blacks?

  • @poiuplokij

The Iroquois were cannibals. Do you condemn the Iroquois Confederation for eating their enemies in a ritualistic communal feast? Do you?

  • What are you juxtaposing, Brother Poiuplokij? My dear brother Barack has "assess" to the White House.

  • Its true. Us english who came befor were worse... even though george washington was english.

  • @flattilre I agree with plokijpoiu, everyday is white history month. When you turn on thhe T.V you see white people, when you look at magazine's you see whites. This is still white america and there is still a struggle to find a place as a African American in this society.

  • I know what the phrase "chocolate cities" means, but the first image (one that comes unbidden), is one of a city, made of the actual food. Man, THAT would be cool!

  • Is this guy a real "professor" or a comedian? He's like Foster Brooks, right?

  • BIG UPS 2 Dr West!

  • Because J.Wright is not impartial... he should not have spoken about the political election on the pulpit. That's where his message got political and biased. His emotions got the better of him... but hey, we are human and we do that. He is just a man. I get that way when I get overly protective.... driven by impulse and reactionary never works well, but sometimes we do it... It's not the end of the world when we do...we just have to be aware that it makes what we are trying to say invalid

  • Gender and race issues are prevalent everywhere, it depends how deep you want to know. Discrimination and stereotypes keep the cycle going. Each issue deserves it's independent and dependent critique. The struggles are real and similar and different. It's impossible to say my hurt is worst than yours with any truth. The preacher is specifically talking about race because that's his only experience he can put on the table...

  • Rev. Wright, - yes Hilary was never called a N-ger. But she was called everything else that women who try for power, who know and realize themselves are called in this country. What is he saying here- that that battle is less important? It's one in the same- and if he doesn't see that then he is a scary man, leader, and influence indeed. My struggle as a woman and Female in this country are just as valid, and are just as self-negating and painful in different ways.

  • He is not saying that one is less important, but he merely states that one has deeper, longer, and more vulnerable scars. This is the reality not some concocted ideal. I am an African-American, and a woman, so there is what is referred to by Women Studies groups as a double-bind. The situation also exist with women who are homosexual. They have to deal with more discrimination than maybe just a white woman. Doesn't equate the struggle to being less, just the situtation is more complex.

  • That makes sense, more complex- Thank you.

  • u should go to church....

  • Cornel is not marxist. He is a non-marxist socialist. There's a BIG difference....

  • I've read his book Race Matters, It is Terrible. This guy is good if you haven't read or researched things for yourself. In his book Cornell does absolutely NO research, if you read Michael Crichton (who does mainly fiction) you will see that even he does research to make sure his information is accurate or at least has some grounding in fact. But I read his book because I heard so many good things about him, only to realize that his book was terrible.

  • I haven't read the book, but I can easily sense you're right. This cretin literally looks and sounds like a mentally ill schizophrenic out of a psych ward. They actually made this whackjob a department head at Princeton??? This treasonous Jeremiah Wright worshiping fool? This generation is surely insane.

  • Robot4Lies, basically!!!

  • what kind of research were you expecting and how did you interpret what the book was about? i just read the book and it wasnt so much about crying because racism still exists but a commentary on how racism still exists. his research was devoted to the past civil rights leaders and analyzing the good and the bad they achieved in their efforts. he criticizes every civil rights leader in some ways and gives a commentary on how the needed to focus on the black identity.

  • honest man

  • "There's no such thing as truth telling that is not unsettling, unnerving, and in some ways unhousing."

  • It's gon be unsettling and disturbing. It will touch a nerve, when it comes into white america's and black zombies homes. And when other races stop kissing this caucasian asses. Most black women are to blame just as other races. White men try to destroy black and hispanic men. Put the asian man and indian man to work. Black women get over cuz they're suppose to be in front of the black man seemingly making the black man weaker destroying the family. Cornell West is the truth, never soldout

  • Very intelligent man

  • "My calling is primarily Socratic and prophetic. So for me I'm fundamentally committed to unarmed truth and unconditional love."

    --2:16

  • I don't know that he's a marxist, but what's wrong with being a marxist?

  • LOL.........Ask a Russian.

  • Hey a Russian, what's wrong with being a Marxist?

  • There's more bigotry in one nasty hair on your white ass than there is in the entirety of Cornel West's body.

  • Nice dispaly on online balls scumbag, I'm impressed!

  • You are so wrong on so many levels. Just because race matters doesn't mean we must hate each other becasue of it. This man preaches nothing but love and compassion, and HE'S THE BIGOT?? It looks to me like you should reexamine yourself before passing judgement on another.

  • Very soon.......GOD will put it into the hearts of the nations to DESTROY religion because it is because of man's distortion of religion that man has corrupted and abused other men.

GOD will then bring about REAL change, not only to america, but the entire world. His is a KINGDOM that will remain FOREVER!

  • times are a changing

  • obama was the best of the presidential candidates. Harvard education or not. maybe he didn't pay attention to who all was running you had Mike Gravel, Dennis Kuccinich, Cynthia Mckinney, oh yeah and I forgot Ron Paul.

  • He said that Obama was the best candidate, obviously you did not pay attention to the video.

  • its cornel

  • Genius

  • what is he talking about? If I was being interpretive of his comments I would only discern a victim ideology, the same as marxism radical feminism radical muslims, etc. His whole point is summed up as "here is why unseen forces that no one has ever seen or met are why my people do not have to take responsibility for their own lives due to the humiliation they have sufferred from the cartoon characters that I have imagined" pw

  • I wouldn't call corporate America an unseen force. The expansion of corporate power is right in front of us, but its influence on policy is not transparent. West's comments are a critique of the lack of democracy worldwide. World Bank and International Monetary Fund don't let us vote, so we're victim to their poor policies that disregard human rights and the environment, and that hurts the poor. 8 years and it's only gotten worse as we've been distracted by rabid nationalism.

  • your right but i think its a cycle i hope its time to uplift the the poor and middle class . i hope greed of corperate america is astounding it has no limits

  • If you read what I said i never implied that dumb people are the only ones that can believe in fairytales. What I was implying was how disapointed in the fact that he seeems to be believer. In other words he seems to get everything else bang on yet for some reason still believes something has about the same proof as the loch ness monster.....and at least they have pics of nessy. Sorry if i insulted you

  • I think the answer to your question is that his father was/is a preacher. In that alone he might have seen an amazing, spirited, Just side of "belief/faith". I can admit has a "non-believer" that amazing people and grace come out of the church. Though the scale of "ugly" does outweigh it quite often.

  • It's a bit presumtuous and narrow-minded to assume that someone believes in fairy-tales because they state that they believe in "God." West made no mention of burning bushes, adam and eve, the parting of the red sea or Noah's ark. He said he believed in God. There are many arguments for the existense of God which are based on Logic.

  • Question, i think tthis guy is the real deal and very smart, and a treat to listen to but i just cant get my head around how the hell this guy still believes in jesus and god.....am i off the mark on this or what? Why is he still a believer? Have we not yet debunked this whole religion thing yet?>? thoughts please

  • Let me get this right, What you are implying is that a belief in a higher power, (God, Jesus, ect.) can only be grasped and attained by those with limited cerebral capacity? Conversely those with some degree of mental dexterity or intellectual prowess cant fathom such an idea? I submit this answer: FAITH can not be measured by IQ points (either way)

  • Believing in God isn't stupid or idiotic. Atheism isn't stupid either. They are both belief systems. Neither one is right or wrong. It depends on individual belief. In fact, if you delve into the philosophies of Hinduism and Budhissm, you will discover great depth and complex ideas about conciousness, awareness etc that require an intellectual mind to grasp

  • its funny how the weight and expectations of the world rest on obamas shoulders. that is a huge price to pay in a world where every group of people every party and every demographic hold him to standards that would demonize him for failure or deify any success. we are no longer human we are a mob of judgmental hating entitlement owning do nothing wanna bes

  • Has anyone ever thought of the idea: What if Obama does not want to be associated with being referred to as "Brotha."

  • whats wrong with brotha? or brother? they are the same thing.

  • i would propose anything is a possibility

  • what a great dude! put that guy somewhere in your cabinent obama!

  • TRUE!!!

  • Dr West is a prophetic leader. I urge Christians from all walks of life to hear his message.

  • he is really brilliant, obama don't have anything on Dr.Cornell West

  • Prof. West is voice of the voiceless!

  • I like and respect Dr West but what was up with those damned Matrix sequels?

  • Cornell West for president!!!!

  • I'd vote for Cornel West to be President

  • @scoonani the Jason Bermas movie Invisible Empire A New World Order Defined at 2:12:02 contains a surprising & unexpected move from Dr. Cornel West when he blatanly called for a New World Order. Do you still agree to vote for someone who calls for such an order

  • @2bprudent President Bush called our troops the "Breast and Brightest" but that doesn't mean he necessarily promotes sexual assault.

You can make the brightest person seem wrong by taking things out of context or by not having the mental power to interpret what you hear. You (generally) cannot make an idiot appear to be super-smart. Or we'd have Bush and Palin. Wouldn't we?

  • @waterspindle I really don't understand your comment. What does Bush calling our troops the Breast & Brightest have to do with Mr. West calling for a New World Order? Bush merely gave a compliment, that's if he even meant it to be a compliment. While Mr. West calls for a New World Order. That's not a compliment. It is the a Order to supress, destroy & annihilate human beings. Causing catastropies & much more. Are you kidding me?

  • Comment removed

  • @waterspindle Sorry if I misinterpreted you. Thanks for the reply anyway. Cheers

  • @2bprudent my bad. Professor West always gets me percolating and i'm liable to vibrate right out of my chair (in a good way)...he says above he is "..committed to unarmed truth and unconditional love"

A graduate with degrees in Languages and Civilization from Harvard 1970s; I am not assuming I'm listening more accurately, but I have yet to hear anything contrary to his speech here above. 37 years of speaking; how fortunate we are to be able to hear from him so easily now! no tuition!

  • Ha! There is no "white supremacy" without oppression. Every time a blackman is allowed to do something that was said he couldn't do in America he has excelled and feelings always get hurt. Notice when whites speak of their supremacy its never without violence (how sad) thus "white supremacy" without oppression can not exist.

  • ahooga must be one of those white supremacists Dr. West speaks against. "jive-talk", tell me that's a joke.

  • Speak it, Dr. West!

  • I take it you DIDN'T get what I was comparing. LOL. Perhaps it was too complex.

  • You were suggesting that Cornell West would relate to me the way one dog eats another dog's ass. Speaking of dog fighting, has Michael Vick resumed playing ball?

  • You're going off on tangents like I suspected. I'm done commenting because I have a life. (...takes Tylenol to relieve tension...)

  • ROFL

  • Democracy Never! I will die for a liberty-minded constitutional democratic-republic, but never a mob rule majority tyranny democracy! unAmerican!

    watch?v=V-4kCD4nbrw

  • Dr Cornell West earned his PhD in rap and in stream of consciousness, muckraking bullshit.

  • I'd love to see Christopher Hitchens debate this mountebank. Cornhole West a performer. He strings together impressive names, impressive quotes (somebody else made them impressive) and cliches, attaches them to the salad of points and accusations he makes, and delivers his stream of consciousness bullshit in soul 'brutha' style.

  • If you think you can prove him wrong, you get your insensate ass up there and do it. People like you are all about semantics than about action. You resort to ad hominem rather than discuss the content of his message. Fuck off and get a life fuck face.

  • Cornell West is the one making the claims. The onus therefore is on him to prove his claims, not on me, or anyone else, to disprove them.

  • If you don't want to debate the content of his claims, than don't make negative comments about his arguements.

"He strings together impressive names, impressive quotes (somebody else made them impressive) and cliches, attaches them to the salad of points and accusations he makes, and delivers his stream of consciousness bullshit in soul 'brutha' style" (ahooga).

You obviously don't agree with what he's saying. If so, stay positive or refute them with evidence, not character attacks.

  • Cornell West makes assertions and accusations, not arguments. His language isn't clear enough to carry an argument. He makes these assertions in a style that is not prose, not poetry, but something more like a stream of consciousness salad of cliches, metaphors, aphorisms, and assertions. When he makes an argument, let me know. I'll try to refute it.

  • Just as I thought, you're full of semantics. Look at your thesaurus and you would find that those terms are often used interchangeably. Instead of focusing on the issue, you go off on tangents about matter illegitimate to the discussion. Cornell West was making an argument, like he does in so many of his discussions. To say that you'll try to refute his arguments are perhaps the best words to use. With a degree from Harvard and Princeton, he'll eat your ass up!

  • Not semantics, but language that is understandable. He doesn't need a degree to eat my ass. Nice imagery, by the way. He just needs to speak intelligibly and to make sense. I'm not the only one who thinks his language is obtuse. Look for the Youtube video in which the host warns viewers that they might need a translator.

  • That was called a metaphor, by the way. I suppose you can't interpret complex language like that. Maybe you should not listen to Cornell West if you can't understand him. Why become an engineer if you can't do calculus? Darnit, I'm assuming you don't understand similes either. Maybe you should not speak or talk to anyone at all. Its easier that way.

  • A simile is a comparison of two things using "like" or "as." For instance if I were to say that you are as dumb as an ox, I would be making a simile. A metaphor is language that compares seemingly unrelated subjects. I believe your example comes from dog fighting.

  • I take it you did get what I was comparing. LOL. Perhaps it was too complex.

  • Run a Youtube search for "Dr. Cornell West @ Brown University." The student who introduces the video warns viewers that they might need an interpreter, because what West has to say is very important. She's friendly to West, so she doesn't mean this as a criticism.

  • he said chocolate cities lol. i assume i would be considered intelligent too if i used that phrase.

  • I don't think so.

  • get it u educated and informative black man

  • Wow, he is so right. He is eloquent, precise and entirely appropriate when he answers questions. I'm impressed and reassured in the goodness of humanity. =]

I'm so glad I'm going to college. Education rocks.

  • I'm a huge fan of Dr. West. I've read the majority of his works, but I find he tends to be magniloquent to the point of equivocation.

That's my only critique of Dr. West.

You may also enjoy reading Chomsky if you're planning on going to college. You'll have a leg up on your fellow students.

    Peace out.

  • Really you think he's too wordy when he speaks. Its kind of ironic. The word "magniloquent" is magniloquent. lol.

But I think his word choice and style is captivating and expresses just how much he does know. If anything it makes his point unique and illustrative when he is verbose.

He doesn't get too wordy to often. Thats why I feel he walks the fine line of being able to deliver a straight forward point while still establishing a speaking style all his own.

  • On second thought, he does seem to have one demand, though he has yet to define it: perfection.

  • Notice that Cornell West never makes specific demands. This is a good strategy for him. If were to make his demands specific and the demands were met, he would have to shut up. He might even have to find a job.

  • He already has a job, at Princeton. I imagine it pays well.

If I may interject, why do you suppose that he needs to make "demands"? Why not just accept his words as a catalyst for thought and action? Why not listen to him as you would any other intellectual and move forward in a positive direction with regards to his words and ideas. Afterall, they are just that, words and ideas.

  • Cornell West's words and ideas are an inspiration and a call to action to many people. Count me as one of those inspired and called to action.

  • The only way I'd get two thumbs up ratings for the statement above is if my irony had been lost on the two persons.

  • correction: After WWI, not WWII.

  • If the latest facts I heard are true, The continent of Africa functions on an I.Q. level , on average, of 70 and below. I speculate this average has remained at this level over the centuries. This would suggest that you need to believe you invented Kung-Fu and you need to feel some pride in your race. Wheatbread, give it up and embrace Euro-centric cultural norms, denounce Cornell and come square dancing with me.

  • africa was kept undeveloped for centuries by europeans. the system you imposed on africans purposely restricted their growth

  • After WWII the victors imposed harsh restrictions on Germany's growth. This was called the treaty of Versailles. Despite this Germany managed to rearm and nearly took over the world. What was Africa's excuse?

  • Cornell West is a professional amplifier for whiners who believe it when their "leaders" tell them they are victims of an oppressor, that their victim status is special, and that this specialness entitles them to special treatment.

  • yes i figured u were one of those people. anytime a bm challenges this unjust system he is a whiner. i dont know how informing people of what ur up agasint is giving them special treatment. can u explain that?or would u like the black race to go off n2 the world and fend for themselves without being prepared

  • Blacks have access to the highest levels of political office in this country. Anyone who still wants to argue that blacks are held down by white oppression has his work cut out for him.

  • bull fucking shit. that access to those political offices come at a price. u have give urself to take that position.success in this country is not about being intelligent or hard working at all its about being american. those who reject american are those who arent successful. those who challenge america are oppressed. its simple as that

  • Racism in the USA favors blacks. Even McCain is afraid to criticize Obama for fear of being called a racist. You speak of access coming at a price? What price has Obama paid for the access he has to the presidency? Never in the history of this country has there been a presidential candidate whose credentials were so unimpressive. Yet, he may very well be the next president.

  • well i think u are forgetting that barak was hand chosen by whites to run this country. mccain and obama are all paid actors.barak obama is a image decision only. everybody's campaigning for barak. racism could never favor blacks tahts the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard

  • Barak Obama was chosen by whites to run this country? Let me tell you something. I've lived in countries in which groups of people are oppressed. When people are oppressed, they leave the country. You don't seem to be going anywhere. Gee, I hope you are able to escape all of this white oppression in one piece.

  • and by the way, barak has no slave blood and is related to powerful political families. so dont give me bs about blacks not being oppressed. thats why its called a house. a house is a dynasty. the united states is an empire

  • Barack has no slave blood? What possible difference can the presence of slave blood mean in this election? Do you know what an empire is? Do you know what a dynasty is?

  • yes i know what a dynasty is. a dynasty has many ruling families. is that not what the usa has? all of the presidents belong to the same bloodline of people. an empie is a state that extends dominion over populations distinct culturally and ethnically from the culture/ethnicity at the center of power.

  • Your definitions of dynasty and empire are imprecise, but then your thinking is also imprecise. A dynasty is a succession of rulers who belong to the same family for generations. The coincidence that both Bush's, father and son, were elected does not make a dynasty. Scholars debate what constitutes an empire, some emphasizing military, political or economic factors. I see nothing wrong with a nation expanding it's zone of influence to keep itself safe. You, of course, disagree.

  • i think u missed the part where i stated that all of the presidents in the us belong to the family bloodline. so they all belong to the same family not just george and george w(and by the way dubya is a character created to mask the truth with incompotence).i believe that it is natural for one nation to consume another for strengthening purposes, its only natural...

  • You are irrational. I give up.

  • what do u want me to say??? do u want me to lie?? i dont understand

  • You tried reason. A fish has no need for a jet plane.

  • a descendent of a slave can not be president. the united states is an empire in every way.political parties are like clubs, no one gets in without being part of the family. the united states is known for distributing political, social and economic power by race
