  • Well, I'm French, and I'm telling you : we have good musicians here, but probably not as good or creative as Ulver.

  • @Dissectionalx0 You got Bonobo..

  • @alex2410 oh yes that's true. Well, I guess we have some good artists. My favorite band is Ez3kiel. Very creative, very "visual", really good. And Gorillaz. And Wax Tailor. And some weird hip hop : Klub des losers (very black sense of humor), Orelsan (especially writing about political and social issues in France), especially because of thei lyrics.

But we created David Guetta, and that is a shame. O_o

  • @Dissectionalx0 cool. Thats true..Guetta sucks..but then again..you got Gojira!

  • I want to make it clear that I have Nothing against beeing inspired by someone'else artistic work...

But plagiary (plagiarism ? french word is plagiat) is really a bad thing to do !!!

IMDb link to the movie imdb.com/title/tt0322177/

(it seems that YT doesn't accept the full link...)

  • @ifasmile this is bullshit, that french music sounds NOTHING LIKE this music.

  • @amandagirlygirl12 Hello, have you seen the movie I'm talking about ? I guess not... So as long as you didn't your opinion is biased on just a personal favorite taste impression. No problem for me anyway ! Second, it seems you have something against french people, otherwise you would'nt mention the "french music" as a main argument... As I'm not french, it will be impossible for you to advance a nationality preference, concerning my opinion ! Svid... 2003 Drengen... 2001 so everything is said !
  • @ifasmile don't be an incredible MORON! is this about the music or the movie? I don't NEED to see the damn movie, I've heard the music, ALL of it and it sounds completely different.

Two. I also don't need to know your nationality to realize you are a FUCKING IMBECILE. And it's really pathetic that you won't admit that you are French. Only the French are overly sensitive to imaginary insults

and 2001 - 2003? So, all newer movies steal the music of older movies? what a dumb argument to make!

  • @amandagirlygirl12

Poor girl, as you have no real argument, you start to insult...

Quiet ususal for low mind people...

Just feel sorry fo you :-)

Not especially proud of my nationality, as I am antinationalism, but I'm swiss...

if you didn't study geography, Switzerland and France share an about 300 km border together :-)

Wish you sweet dreams, CLEVER WOMAN !!!

  • @ifasmile Poor swiss boy, as you have no real brain, you can't even recognize real arguments.

Swiss? IN 300 years all the Swiss ever invented was the cuckoo clock, and a way to let brutal dictators who slaughtered tens of thousands innocent PEOPLE to live the life of the wealthy.

Oh and turning away Jews during WW2.

yer still an imbecile, since the music is NOTHING A LIKE.

post a video then, if you're so sure.

  • I like this music...

BUT I just realize it's very close (almost a copy) to the soundtrack of a movie I really do love :

"Drengen der ville gøre det umulige" (The Boy Who Wanted to Be a Bear)

    from Jannik Hastrup, 2001

with the fantastic music by the great French composer : Bruno Coulais !

So in fact, the movie might be good but this part of the soundtrack is NOT original

  • Hello! Do you have the clip when the "old lady" (mother of Peder) is singing the song when she is working..? It think she sings something like "Kjenn lykken som stig over landet", when she's working. I would be very glad if you had the chanse to add it here on youtube, it is such funny and also a nice song.. :)

  • The percussions add to the emotion of it, making it darker than it would otherwise be. So I prefer the original mix. And just In general I find that dark/sad melodies work great with distorted beats. Ulver do that really well in Perdition City.

  • nobody disagrees with THAT, it's just that they did a REALLY lousy job, trying to achieve it.

  • @galnegus yah, they TRIED to do that and they FUCKED IT UP BIG TME.!

  • @amandagirlygirl12 Are you serious? Perdition City is extremely good album.

  • I like it. At 1:38 there's a slight skipping problem, as well as at 2:12.. you might have cut a loop in the wrong place.

Feels nice to hear it more driven by orchestra than the percussion. 5'd.
