  • thanks, the video helped me too

  • 1.8 why? Stupid ass teacher

  • why the damn calculator u used

  • You write really beautiful way

  • where did the 1.8 come from?

  • @lazarra101 The 1.8 is the difference between a degree of Celsius and Fahrenheit. (every degree of temperature raised in Celsius is equal to a raise of 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit)

  • @lazarra101 9/5

  • oh look, not every american is stupid :O

  • Why don't you Yanks just go metric. SIMPLEZ

  • @steffenjf so basicaly we just do the steps of your celcius to fahrenheight video backwards?

  • Thanks for makin this i needed it for science homework

  • Great. Is this over a lunch table? It looks the same as the ones in my school...

  • i like you'r vid. but how about ..kelvin to celsius or kelvin to farenheit....please reply or post some..cool and learning vids. ty or thank you

  • @warayify 0°K = -273°C The steps between each degree is the same in Celsius and Kelvin, which is why the Fahrenheit system is just stupid as hell. .

  • Actually, in advanced chemistry you use kelvin, which is actually celsius plus 273.15.

    so, let's say, 50F is 15.5C, which is 288.65K.

  • c= (5/9) * (fahr-32)

  • I have that EXACT same calculator.

  • Cx9 shared by 5 + 32, or the reverse for Fahrenheit to Celsius.

  • But why are they the same at -40?

  • where did you get the 32 from?.

  • @xspartanX3x

    school probably...

  • chido me ayudo mucho

  • oh MAN Mr.Steffan!

looks like ur more youtube famous than me!!!

    <3 miss you

yeah thats right, i was in his classes

    im a cool kidd xD

  • @thevigilanteatheist You are embarising, im scottish and we use metric, but if you are going to insult someone, please do so with good english. :)

  • In science you should use degrees kelvin, by adding 273 to celcius.

  • @thevigilanteatheist

USA is not stupid for using it's own system. They wanted to be different.

  • the US is the only country that uses that, wouldn't it be easier if we all used the same units? just saying

  • THANKS BUDDY I LEARNED A LOT FROM YOU .. OUR PRELIMINARY EXAM IN CHEMISTRY IS ON WEDNESDAY .. THANKS .. GOD BLESS !! YOU'RE MY SAVIOR ;)

  • Thanks man you just saved me with my homework. I kind of fell asleep during class. Haha

  • So C -> F is basically the formula 1.8(C) + 32 but backwards and opposite?

  • 1.8 :)

  • I made a video response that can be used along with your video, please accept since your video has the most views on the subject.

  • thankkkkk uuu

  • É uma boa esplicação pena que não entendo seu idioma sou brasileiro mais valeu a sua intenção...

  • omg thanx.. u just helped me on my hw ur awesome...

  • thnx!

  • thank you i was stuck

  • yayyy, this is gonna help me in chem honors this year :D

  • we have to:

Subtract Fahrenheit with 32 then multiply by 5 and divide by 9. You will get the Celsius counterpart.

  • Excellent. You should be getting the same answer. multiplying by 5 and dividing by 9 is the same as dividing by 1.8. Try it on a calculator. Dividing by 1.8 just saves a step which is why I do it. The reason you have to do that is that a degree in Celsius is 1.8 times larger than a degree in Fahrenheit.

  • @steffenjf you're right. and your video is great! i think zoupman meant to do it in your head

  • What is the element with two or more charges

  • Ahm.....May i have a Question...?

If how to get the charge of the element......

    Please answer...^_^

  • thank you....very much

    this will help...

    thanks

  • Do you now how to convert Kelvin to Celsius?

    Please Answer...

  • add 273 to the C to get K

    subtract 273 from K to get C.

  • U.S.A., liberia, and Burma time to go METRIC!!!!

  • OMG! that is so wierd! for part of my school homework i had a question of converting 75F to celcius. I went to google for help and i saw a youtube video preview. Only to see you doing the exact same question. What a coincidence! ANYWAY THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS REALLY HELPED!!!

  • Thanks!

  • SWEET thank you so much now i can convert celsius to fahrenheit! i feel smart! plus i can finish my school assignment. =D

  • Thanks for the tip. Who taught you English?

  • LOl

  • LOL. Exactly.

  • HAHA

  • @steffenjf HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH touche'

  • loool!!!! hey genius: without paranthesis it will be read as 75 - (32/1.8).

In math to divide come first, so as to moltiply. Then come to add and minus...

  • No, because in algebra the division line counts as a grouping symbol, so therefore both sides are solved before dividing.

/It isn't like the parentheses do anything though, its just redundant.

//Doing physics homework and forgot the formula thanks!

  • @easirenee Who TAUGHT you English?Lol.Teach is a verb,a state of being. If you wish to use it in past tense you use taught. For example:I taught my dog to roll over. You wouldn't say:I teached my dog to roll over. ;) ;)

  • wow that quite smart there good job

  • To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, subtract 32degrees and divide by 1.8. To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, multiply by 1.8 and add 32 degrees.

  • Thanks for your help :)

  • THE FORMULA SHOULD BE C= 5/9(75-32)

    1st subtract 75-32= 43

    2nd times 43x5=215

    3rd divide 9/215 = 23.89 round off to 24

    the answer is 75F= to 24C !!

    I'm a grade 5 student!

  • Why not use the much simpler, and easy to remember formulae :

    C = (F + 40)*5/9 - 40

    and

    F = (C + 40)*9/5 - 40

  • Maybe because it's NOT easier to remember?

  • THATS GREAT!

  • Thanks a heap man i have been looking for something like this :)

  • No calculator estimate method:

    Example: temp in F = 80 is ? Centigrade...

    1. subtract 32 (80 - 32 = 48)

    2. add 10% more (48 + 4.8 = 53(rounded)

    3. Divide by 2 (53 / 2 = 26.5 deg C)

  • A great way for estimating within one degree but not accurate for chemistry homework. Thanks for the comment.

  • THIS HELPED ME GET IN DA NAVY

  • heheh!

  • gracias!

  • hey thanks, this helped me with my javascript homework!
