My recipes do not call for this, but just to grease the pan. I was make a layered cake and when I flipped it over to get it out the sides and bottom were very much stuck. at the end, i had pieces and chucks of cake missing. I now I greased it enough and i made it correctly. Anyways on how to solve this or any helpful tips? Thanks a ton in advance!
hey peoplz i was wondering if parchment paper is a good substitute for like zig zag or something. I cant really get joint paper so i was wondering if it would be ok to smoke parchment paper or does it have like chemicals inside it.
I just wanted to thank you...its my wife's b-day and i am making her a cake...but oh no how to line with parchment paper..I called her on the phone and she tried to explain to me how to do this...i got no visual...but i have youtube and whatya know your video is the best...i am going to try it right now....
This was most helpful, thank you. I do however not know how to put the grease proof paper around the tin edges. I have a round tin and my book suggests that I cover the bottom and around the edges. Ill try ur butter and flower trick. I hope it will work for a round tin (im new to this :S)
I find it's much easier to use the removeable bottoms of tart pans. If I need to line a 9" cake pan, I remove the bottom of a 9" tart pan, place it on top of the parchment, and trace it with a sharp knife. It comes it perfect.
i cliked on this wanting to get a paper round as in paper boy

this is an old school restaurant trick. the round is used for lids. it can be used for braising, poaching, stewing, blind baking and much more.
