N'Dou and Gatti are Mayweather's most visually pleasing performances. Not his biggest wins of course, but it shows Mayweather's craft honed to perfection. N'Dou shows Mayweather's defense the best way possible, and his fight with Gatti showed how dominating he actually is on offense.
I was watching fight videos of Mayweather, Pac, Margarito, Cotto, Shane and in my honest unbias opinion. Cotto was the weakest of all of them. Floyd would have killed Cotto in the ring with all his accurate punches and defense. Cotto gets my respect because he comes to fight but the flaws in his fight game has never made me totally sold on his ability to beat Floyd. I just don't see it and never did. Margarito already proved his worth. He is a cross between Baldomir and Oscar at 154.......

Don't know whether I'm a Mayweather 'critic' or not, but I understand both what you are saying and what they are saying. IOW, sure Floyd has his style, but I (& others) am not a big fan of it (hummingbird-like). But there's no disputing that it's very effective in outpointing his opponents, and no doubt fits his own skill set (strengths & weaknesses). On the other hand, it's not wrong for fans to prefer something different (like a Hearns, Hagler, etc. -- or, of course, Pac-Man).

He takes some punishment but can handle it. Mayweather is a defensive master, extremely fast and takes little punishment. In a way this will be a new test for both fighters. If Pacquiao manages to hit Mayweather once in a while it could go his way, if he misses too much it'll go to Floyd, who won't miss.

Diego Corrales was a good fighter, albeit very lomited, and Mayweather gave him a boxing lesson. There's a fight I was legitimately impressed with him in, even though Corrales was badly weight drained for the bout. Either way, I think Floyd would've always beaten him.
Genaro Hernandez was a very good fighter in his prime, far short of great or "legendary", though. Who do you think you're fooling? Hernandez was already well past his prime by the time Floyd got to him in his last fight.
I meant to say "limited" in that last post. Anyways, on to De La Hoya. That was a pretty mediocre performance against a well past prime De La Hoya. Not exactly inspiring stuff considering how badly Pacquiao destroyed him later on, and how nobody Steve Forbes was able to last the distance with him. Castillo was the best fighter Floyd ever beat, and he arguably lost the first fight. Castillo, the poor man's Julio Cesar Chavez. Just imagine what the real Chavez would've done to Floyd.

Oscar was in much better shape at 154 for Mayweather than he was at 147 for Pacquiao, where he was basically a dead man walking. I was watching fight videos of Mayweather, Pac, Margarito, Cotto, Shane and in my honest unbias opinion. Cotto was the weakest of all of them. Floyd would have killed Cotto in the ring with all his accurate punches and defense. Cotto gets my respect because he comes to fight but the flaws in his fight game has never made me totally sold on his ability to beat Floyd. I just don't see it and never did. Margarito already proved his worth. He is a cross between Baldomir and Oscar at 154.......

IOW, sure Floyd has his style, but I (& others) am not a big fan of it (hummingbird-like). But there's no disputing that it's very effective in outpointing his opponents, and no doubt fits his own skill set (strengths & weaknesses). I wish there was some editing. No use for name calling. About Pacquiao Mayweather, here it is: Pacquiao brings the fight, super fast, powerful and constant agression. He takes some punishment but can handle it. Mayweather is a defensive master, extremely fast and takes little punishment. In a way this will be a new test for both fighters. If Pacquiao manages to hit Mayweather once in a while it could go his way, if he misses too much it'll go to Floyd, who won't miss.

big if though mate you have to respect pacquiao he has destroyed all of his last three opponents, I mean total demolition. Mayweather is truely brilliant but the speed and relentlessness of pacquiao is a huge threat that mayweather's defensive boxing could leave him behind on points and I dont think manny will be KO'd.

I'd much rather see pacquiao vs mosley, mosley is my favourite plus id see that as a much more entertaining fight, pacquiao vs mayweather dont look like it would gel right.

Well Marquez was #2 pound for pound and he dominated him in a way that no elite fighter has ever been dominated, true that is not his best weight but still you gotta respect the display of talent in that fight. I would love to see him fight Mosley or Cotto since I think Cotto will beat Paq-man in november.

Mayweather is so goddamn overrated it's ridiculous. A bucn of teeny-boppers think he's God because he beats up bums with his superior speed. He would literally not be one of the 20-30 best fighters I've seen on film, or even close. He doesn't even impress me with this performance. Hell, I think James Toney is overrated in his own right, but his performance against Iran Barkley blows this performance of Floyd's out of the water.

Diego Corrales was a good fighter, albeit very lomited, and Mayweather gave him a boxing lesson. There's a fight I was legitimately impressed with him in, even though Corrales was badly weight drained for the bout. Either way, I think Floyd would've always beaten him.
Genaro Hernandez was a very good fighter in his prime, far short of great or "legendary", though. Who do you think you're fooling? Hernandez was already well past his prime by the time Floyd got to him in his last fight.

I meant to say "limited" in that last post. Anyways, on to De La Hoya. That was a pretty mediocre performance against a well past prime De La Hoya. Not exactly inspiring stuff considering how badly Pacquiao destroyed him later on, and how nobody Steve Forbes was able to last the distance with him. Castillo was the best fighter Floyd ever beat, and he arguably lost the first fight. Castillo, the poor man's Julio Cesar Chavez. Just imagine what the real Chavez would've done to Floyd.

pacquiao and arum know what there doing they knew oscar was a deadman fighting at light welterweight and floyd was good but he wasnt great at junior middleweight but oscar knew he was NO match for floyd at welterweight but floyd challenged him so he had to fight on oscars terms and the best floyd fought is Genaro Hernandez and Diego Corrales Skillwise and Chavez couldnt beat Whitaker the man that floyd based half his style on chavez would get destroyed just like his protege did

Your point about Oscar was very muddled, but I get the gist and I actually agree. Oscar was in much better shape at 154 for Mayweather than he was at 147 for Pacquiao, where he was basically a dead man walking. Either way, he showed in his first fight post-Mayweather against Forbes that he was no longer a world class operator, and yet he still pushed Floyd to the limit.
Again, Genaro was pretty much ripe for the picking by the time Floyd got him, though I doubt he'd have ever beaten Floyd.
