In reality Putin knows none of the candidates pose a threat to him so he allows them to run. Huge roadblocks are made for candidates who have popular support & dont fall in line with the Kremlin. These elections are going to be rigged just like the parliamantery elections. My prediction: Putin landslide victory.

Yavlinsky popular support is about 2%. He was disqualified by electoral commission because about 25% of submitted signatures were substandard. He is a nonentity in Russian politics with no chances of being elected. His party received about 3% in last elections. I think the law requiring 2 million signatures should have been relaxed and he should not be disqualified, but to claim that this somehow makes elections 'faux' is total bull shit. Putin will win because most Russians will vote for him.
