@BrincessKarin If your Wii is a newer model, you wont be able to play because it no longer supports Game Cube. If you do have a model bought before this past few months, all you need is the game, a Game Cube Controller and a Game Cube Memory Card. That's it! =)

The tales series always has some of the best overseas transition/adaption/whatever you want to call it.

The intro and voice work for the NA versions prove that dubbing does not automatically mean sucking.

Managed to get _128 hours_ on my first playthrough. (not because I'm slow, but because I like to look around and revisit places). Really one of the best games I've ever played :)

ToS2 sucked though... Man, I HATED Emil's squealy emo voice. Martha's even more. The characters were soooooo shallow, just like the story.

*spoilers* Srsly, I knew emoEmil = Ratatosk after playing 2 minutes or something. *spoilers*

It just wasn't that same good old ToS1... :(

Actually the graphics are top notch for the time, look at the ps2 tales games like abyss and legendia. Symphonia is crysis compared to the too.

TOS is better in the story, every detail in the game is perfect and I can't find an error in the story, maybe the graphics are a little bad compared with Zelda and other similar games, but I like it a lot TOS, the final is fantastic and the first time I play I cry...

it is my favorite game i beat it like 9 times and to me it is still fun how you can change the story a bit (summon spirits, going to one place before another, etc) i also like tos2 but it isnt neer tos1 to me they should have done where you actually walk on the landand and get most of your battles (like tos1). if they make a tos3 (wish i hope they do) i hope they make it better then tos2 and if even possible better then tos1 (i donnt think it will though but i can still hope)

@canteraseme Much of KoR was actually taken straight from Abyss. The monsters, the text bubbles, the entire graphics engine and the majority of the battle system. Sure, it's not technically stealing as namco does own it but they could have been more original.

Most other games in the series are more different than abyss and KoR.

The I-can-do-it-all hero, the healer who always messes up, the little kid with huge weapons, the pervert, and of course, the hot chick with big breast. The only thing I missed though, was the spirit music theme.

It´s because the song is rarely found on OST´s, however, if you really like it, download free YouTube to mp3 converter, that way, you can transform one of these clip videos without anything but the song itself, and have it as an mp3...

Man, I love this game!

I never owned it myself, but just clearing it while borrowed was an experience in it self...

I remember the opening it self waking a warmth for this game, and it just got better and better. Amazing visuals in the cut scenes, though scarce.

The characters were memorable, and the story was epic.

Also lots and lots of playing and exploring.

Man, I'll have to get the new one for the wii...

well I do like the wii one but I was juest a little disappointed with it because, (a little spoiling sorry)

1:you can't explore the world map it just sends you to the place you need to so you can't uncover any over world secrets, nor can you go back to the older towns after finishing a chapter.

2: you can't put any of the original characters from the frist game as your leaders

3: the story is way way shorter

but other then that I still like it.

wow. I beat it the first time straight away with a friend. I found it a bit harder the second time on my lonesome, Teammates just rush into situations that they're programmed not to in boss fights. I've played it off and on twice.
