@DjCovenant I'm talking in the context of THIS particular instrumental; not backing tracks in general. So no, in this instrumental they do not add 'ambiance and depth', they are harmonies that assist the singer.

@TheCharlieCarpenter Yes; in in this perticular instrumental the backing vocals are the same as the backing vocals in the original song. Why? because it would sound rather boring of you would have only one vocal line. Its called "vocal layering". Its nothing to do with assisting anyone. If a singer need assistance they have a guide vocal line which is a rough mix which they then removed after the final mix.

However the BV's in this instrumental ARE NOT the same as the official song, anyone with a musical ear ( or not ) can easily determine that this is a somewhat diluted composition of the song. Also; by singer I mean anyone who decides to click on this video, as it is somewhat of a karaoke track, not everyone is going to be a proffesional singer, so as long as it helps them thats great, if not.. thats a shame. @TheCharlieCarpenter Lol ok ok, the backing vocals are there to 'guide' a singer instead of offering a sense of depth and ambience throughout the stereo-field; in the same way ''jason derulo's"-"watcha say" is especially chorused at the beginning merely to give anyone who is listening guidance of some sort, be it music, perhaps even spiritual, am i right? Anyway moving on from banal matters, i think you have a rather good voice, and being a producer im always looking for singers!
