  • try it with a twin reverb

  • If he had a stage fan blowing his hair this would be the most epic guitar video ever made.

  • you will never be as cool as him. Ever.

  • Welp, nobody can complain about adding too much reverb seeing as that's kinda out of your control 8D

  • that's robbery for an amp with so little power.

  • That my friends is what ROCK'N'F'N'ROLL is all about!

  • how could anybody dislike this?

  • imagine if he was playing a full stack in there!!! :))))))))

  • You had a Blackstar in your stuff !? - I think ... - (0:48)

Did you try it in this warehouse ?

    ;-)

  • So is it a digital or a spring warehouse?

  • I would have used a little delay if I were him, but that's just me.

  • Whoa! What do you have the warehouse set for?

  • My old alesis quadraverb had a space echo preset that sounded just like that.

  • I think this video could use some more reverb...

  • Wow, what kind of shoes are those?

  • And lost weight, dudes fat now.

  • Jeff Hanneman changed hair color! and went to guitar classes :L

  • That guy is always shredding, he needs to play more chords and riffs

  • epic

  • - search results , no warehouses to rent furnished with marshall class five :/ hmmmmm

  • @musicman19191 find a stairweel in a parking garage!

  • fuck marshall, id love to to crank up a fender with a strat in an empty warehouse

  • beautiful man...i'm crying here.

  • just fucking huge damn reverbs...hahah

  • damn, THAT'S REVERB XD XD XD XD !!!

  • if only they could put that in a pedal.

  • this is one of the coolest videos

  • proof you dont need a 3 thousand pound guitar!

all you need is a 2 million pound wharehouse !

  • a wall of these would be just right. link up around 40-50 of them and say hello to your neighbors at 3 am.

  • @richfiryn or you could just get 4 halfstacks.. haaa

  • Dare I say... too much reverb?? Turn down the warehouse size and get back to me.

  • Is the sound completely dry without any effects?

  • @topdog2328 yep completely dr, that reverby sound is the sound from amp bouncing off the walls as it travels

  • Looks like the warehouse from American Chopper at 00:49.

  • i wish i had a warehouse.

  • Sounds amazing for 5w. I think natural acoustic reverb is key to "ethereal" tone.

  • Holy hell. That was incredible, I bet a full stack would make the building collapse. I had plans to film my amp at full volume inside the Metrodome, but I can't afford the rental fee :(

  • i used to do this in the racquet ball rooms at the community center. it was awesome.

  • bad playing, bad amp. id put the Vypyr up against this any day.

  • @GabrielTheGuitarist real tubes are for real men. modeling amps are for beginners.

  • @DJsqueely not if the modeling amp is 120w tubed head with an addtional 200 preamp running thru a peavey 5150. thats what i call a rig. mkay cheers.

  • @GabrielTheGuitarist thats like putting a megaphone in front of a shart.

  • @DJsqueely since you know exactly how that sounds. good job, u now proved urself a stereotypical wannabe.

i could put money down that my Vypyr head and 5150 full stack cabs with an additional Peavey poweramp sounds 100x better than any marshall u put it against.

  • @GabrielTheGuitarist i guess you didnt understand my analogy. . . just because your rig is loud doesnt make it sound any better. . . if you've ever been on a real stage, they mic everything anyway. . .its a MODELING amp. which means it MODELS other amps. do you think its trying to model itself. . .no, its trying to model amps like this. . .

  • @DJsqueely i dont care what your analogy is. i know for a fact my amp sounds 100% better than this shit ^^ in a warehouse, on a stage, outside, underwater, in space. yea it may sound good mic'd but mine sounds even better mic'd. its modeled to recreate the Krankenstein, 6505, Mesa Rectifier, Fender Twin, other GOOD amps. it would NEVER model after a shitty Marshall. i can get, if not better than this tone in this video. stick to ur lameass Marshalls fanboy, but u are limited. i am not.

  • @GabrielTheGuitarist actually, my favorite amp is a peavey valveking. i sold my peavey 6505 after i heard the vk for the first time. . . i just hate dueches who say, "my amp is better then everyone elses" please put your amp underwater. please.

  • @DJsqueely then why on earth are u sticking up for this no balls Marshall? i cant believe u got rid of a 6505 for a VK but at least still had a good amp. so i have to ask. why this ^!?

and i will put my amp underwater...do i get to put it in an air-tight sealed case?

  • @GabrielTheGuitarist you are limited to about 31% of your brain cells because you smoke too much dog shit... your playing sucks you arrogant dweeb

  • @GabrielTheGuitarist your dreaming again Gabriel the dik suck

  • @DJsqueely What if your not a beginner and enjoy modeling amps.

  • @GabrielTheGuitarist I still see you think your a guitar player..lmao dam you are a arrogant dweeb..lol well when your older and still sucking cock for a living you will grow up.

  • You see, that's the main problem with class5 amp! If you've got one you need a warehouse to have a good reverb.

    BTW: Sounds really cool!

  • damn, now i need a warehouse...i dont even use reverb and i want a warehouse...

  • this is whats happening inside chappers brain all the time

  • you should add some reverb to this dry sound

  • Yes rock it! Feel it! Crank it! ...keep practicing!

  • shame it was ruined by a smelly uncapable "metaller"

  • i was thinking about buying a class 5. i bought a vht 18w instead. after hearing this video, i think i dodged a bullet.

  • thats really cool...Nice video..

  • chappers :D

  • What a dork.

  • this would be so awesome to do

  • @AndertonsMusic why don't you put a dual rectifier in that warehouse at full volume? :D

  • WOW so much reverb

  • Who said Marshall have no riverb?!

  • That's it. Selling my reverb pedal for a warehouse.

  • @CAPT4INSL0W

    You've killed me!

  • @CAPT4INSL0W plate actually

  • @CAPT4INSL0W HAHA thats some funny shit !!! < ^ :

  • LOVE THE NATURAL REVERB GOING ON!!!!!!!

  • Mightiest of 'Verb!

  • Well, I guess it has reverb now.

  • lol got the jeff look from slayer

  • natural reverb!

  • Next time play in a church

  • what guitar is that?

  • @hihowareyouitsme It's a Chapman ML1 the original Chapman Guitar!

  • Cool natural reverb...

  • thats a shitload of reverb dude.....

  • pretty cool ....

  • Hard to tell anything due to the extreme natural reverb of the warehouse. But other than that, I'm loving the pose. :-)

  • You could rename this "How to record Van Halen's first album"

  • wow that sounds awesome, how much watts and loudspeaker? (sorry the inglish)

  • @elecnico 5w and a 10 inch speaker

  • Why built-in reverb if you can use an empty warehouse?!? LOL

  • Whats wrong with me tonight ? I`ve watched a few amp reviews and they all sound pretty crap ! Peace Ye`all !

  • @auto4union Your hearing is probably affected by your physical state. If youre tired and weary, your hearing does not respond as well to certain frequencies and harmonics as it is usually the case. There are other explanations as well: first the demos are crap, probably recorded with cheap microphones or second: youtube's audio compression which has ruined so many good audio tracks already ;-)

  • What does that rehearsal room rent for per hour?

  • you need a a reverb pedal... lol

  • @guitarhal96 I know right, no where near enough =P

  • do you think the Class 5 can play metal?

  • @Uhmsters Shure but you will need a pedal

  • It's like some new age metal music video! You guys have too much fun :)

  • thats what the andertons warehouse looked like after chappers was let loose lol

  • please do this with the boss micro cube - the 89 pound one plz!!!!

  • Marshall class 5 or Peavey vypyr?

  • Sounds very far away! Turn it up!

  • A shedload of reverb can make any POS sound ok

  • thats pretty loud for 5 watts

  • @forcamania yep, a full tube amp is pretty loud at 5 watts, but if that warehouse was packed with a crowd of people gathered for a concert, the amp wouldn't sound as powerful, since human bodies would absorb a lot of the vibrations , especially the reflected ones.

  • there is no reverb pedal in the market today better than a warehouse!

  • november rain video gone urban :P

  • Is there any reverb on the amp or is it just the warehouse?

  • @1xDRCx This amp has no reverb setting.

  • cant agree more with anyone than rsl84416

  • holy shit!!! is that how the amp sounds without pedals?!

  • @Liamthefiredemond yeah but cranked !!

it wont sound like that in your bedroom

  • haha that reverb is pretty sick, but no shit its gonna be loud, its a fucking empty warehouse lol

  • Bumblebee in an oil tanker?

  • Listen to the intro on let there be rock live in paris dvd by ACDC, this sound is just like it.

  • ima try that :)

  • sounds like bees buzzing..not a good tube amp...Sorry!!!!

  • I have always wanted to do this!!!

  • About how far away was the microphone from the amp in this vid?

  • И ревера не надо))

  • Rob Clappers you cheesemonger!!

  • Wow! I would love to do that. Maby with a stack. :P

  • I wonder if this is this is how Van Halen recorded their first record. ha

  • thats weak, i thought it would be loud as you bothered to do the vid

  • is this amp loud enough for club sized gigs?

  • LOVE IT !!!!

  • wow....that there is REVERB

  • that is the best reverb I have ever heard in my life.

  • i need a reverb pedal but im afraid that the warehouse wont fit on my board

  • it sounds like jimmy page! very cool and a little bit magic!

  • Awesome. Great playing. That warehouse sounds amazing. You should rent it out for recording sessions.

  • sooo much reverb!

  • that'S REAL reverb, dudes!

  • damn that is some reverb

  • 1.40 reminds me of Jeff Hannemann (Slayer)

  • David Gilmour...Sorrow...LA Sports arena...nice.

  • Comment removed

  • that sounds epic!

  • I've always wanted to do that. How about a 200 watt Major in a mountain pass.

  • i cant stop listening to this!!!!

  • Wooha! That thing is loud!

But i'm thinking about buying either this or a Blackstar HT-5, which one should I choose?

  • @HSammyE I prefer the HT5 - it's more versatile. Andertons can ship either of them to you via our web site. Thanks.

  • @AndertonsMusic What do you prefer more on the HT5?

  • @HSammyE Dude go For Roland specially there new series CUBE XL its the best..!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @HSammyE which one should you choose? Ask Rebecca Black.

  • Reverb doesn't get any more authentic then that! Cool video, what a fun idea.

  • omg i wanna do this with my amp! =)

  • Chappers Rules!!!

  • AndertonsMusic where the video that he compares this amp with the HT5? I wanna see it :) I'm precisely between those 2 amps...

  • @TequeDiogo You need to go to the andertonsmusic Youtube channel & then look for the "small tube amp shoot out" video - we show the HT5, the Class 5, a Vox AC4 & a Fender Super Champ XD all side by side.

  • @TequeDiogo hey you should really think about the fender superchamp xd. i own it and it's 15 watts as opposed to 5, and it has so many different voicings that you can pretty much find any tone you want. it's also way cheaper than the two amps you are looking at. there are a lot of demos of it on youtube. you can actually get the vibrochamp xd(5 watt version) at guitar center right now used for 100 american dollars. these two amps just give you so many more choices of sound!!!!!

  • I'd like to see this same vid with the Marshall Haze 40 watt combo

  • @tony93666 We shot a "sound like Slash" video using the Marshall Haze - it should be online in the next few days. If you haven't already done it, then please subscribe to our channel & you'll get notified when the Haze video is posted. Cheers!

  • @AndertonsMusic - you rock!

  • If you like the look of the guitar that Chappers is playing in this video, then go to the regular Andertons site & search for Chapman ML1 - you'll find out all you need to know!

  • man that amp has a great brown sound reminds me of early vanhalen

  • @akaboo69 I agree - I can't believe it's taken us 50 years to realise that 5 watt tube amps driven like CRAZEEE are the best sounding amps in the world. Who needs 100w - give me 5w everyday.

  • @AndertonsMusic howd you set up that reverb tank if the amp has no fx loop

  • @akaboo69 The reverb is coming from the warehouse - all natural. If you wanted to add a reverb pedal to the Marshall Class 5, you'd have to just plug it into the front of the amp, which isn't ideal, as reverb works best through a loop. Something like the Blackstar HT5 has a loop, so might work better for you. Check out the video we made that compares the Class 5 & the HT5 - see which you like best.

  • sounds like a 5 watt plexi

  • Most reverb tanks go inside the amp, not the other way around. ^_~

  • Imagine how many damn midgets you could fit in that warehouse! Groovy ass video ;)

  • @voodooriders Ha ha ha WTF!!! ;-)

  • Awesome video Chappers - I think the amp needs more reverb - sounds a little dry to me. Ha ha.
