It's his jumping strong, aka medium punch. You have to be jumping towards or away from your opponent. If you jump straight up, you will get a different punch.
Yes. Initially I thought the EX flip juggled on take off... but no : (
It's sort of a 'semi-combo' in that if they do anything but mash out of the sequence the grab generally lands. Stupidly enough however (much like a lot of what goes on in IV) n00bs are more immune to this 'combo' because they tend to mash more than someone who is more circumspect and waits for openings.
In other words, use it only against those who DON'T seem to be mashing (...or those who don't know Gouken inside out).
Sabalicious i understand where your coming from but i hope u see the hole u dug yourself into. According to you, "n00bs" are too foolish to be caught by such an advanced technique yet a skilled player would probably get owned by it like some kind of "n00b"... !??
No hole. Use it as many times as I have and you'll see. Mashers almost always avoid it one way or another... especially Shoto n00bs. While those patiently waiting for an opening (or who are unfamiliar for the sequence) tend to fall for it. It's a trait of this game -- mashing takes priority. Why do you think there are so many Ken 'tards on-line...?
After all, it (the flip combo) is only a SEMI combo anyway, a sequence. It's escape-able. Having said that, I still use it.
Last one is pointless damage wise but the others are gems. Can't wait to see all of these in their full. Looks great so far for each character that's up!
Even if they make it into the actual vids, that's fine. I'm perfectly cool with the combo we were talking about. Just pointing out damage wise it's not a tip top option. I like seeing all/any options/setups. Really looking forward to your vids.
Wow. Impressive none the less. Some of those look difficult.
Those FADC as the another posted really adds something different to the series. Ono did mention that with FAs average players can use it but more advanced players really can take it up another level .don't remember where he said or I've read. Well Can't wait.
True, though this is a bit slower than TS, there's still a good amount of execution involved. Man, those focus hits add a crazy dimension to this game.
Yes!! And you can be a super pro in training mode canceling special to super/ultra and doing multi hit combos, but its different story in the heat of battle. But I'm sure its a muscle memory thing that after a while you'll just react.
I can't wait till you make these. Especially this one

He attacks after the FADC to reset Ryu, Ryu lands on his feet, Gouken cancels into demon flip and throws.
Not sure exactly which attack is used to reset.

So the mashing works thus it's a noob move, but it would hit an experienced player because he would do something that WOULDN'T work in that situation.
The vile you spit is atrocious.

nothings wrong with a free ultra.
ZhangHe2369 3 years ago
Right. But if you do the back throw into ultra, without the jumping MP, you get a lot more damage, and it's arguably easier lol.
KrsJin 3 years ago
Those combos you see in all of these are just to add to the trailer.
You won't be seeing any of the combos you see in these trailers in the actuall video.
