They actually did the calculations and while you will increase the albedo effect, you have to make all that paint, and that is much worse than the actual benefits of the reflected sunlight.

He's trying to talk with the accent of Newcastle in northern England, known as a geordie accent. (pronounced jordie).

I thought this accent was so good I couldn't believe he was from anywhere else but the North East.
Sure enough, Rothbury in Northumberland. He has the Northumberland burr in the pronunciation of his letter R's.
Classic sketch. But, wadowa knaa?
