  • Reminds me of my younger days etc...,etc...

  • Although it's hard to choose, I would say this is their best song ....

  • This is one tune that still haunts.....love the middle 8. Thanks for posting!!

  • @randalleful same here

  • @lemmeknowhen Twilly or Yoakum?

  • Got any thai stick?

  • Best Beatles song(in my opinion)

  • @leemanzi09 Damn really ?

  • pure class

  • I like this one well underated

  • They're so many to chose from...But this has to be my favorite Beatles song...in fact

this is one of the best 10 songs EVER!

  • I like so fucking much this song....

  • favorite/best most underated beatles song

  • i was lucky to have grown up with the beatles and believe me we played every song every day. but they had to pick a single from each album to officially release. every song was famous, though. each album, when it came out, generated so much excitement and surprise and joy. the radio stations played their music but really they didn't fit into any genre or format. it was always, and remains, Beatles Music. it's so beautiful that i really think there's something sacred to it.

  • @callseba Thank you for your comments. I too grew up listening to them. Every song, every album were like a bright sunny day after a storm. There are a hundred favorites for me.

  • i love this

  • best bridge they did.

  • doesn't young ringo kind of look like howard from the big bng theory he he

  • @biggusdickus1994 he does, doesn't he?

  • one of my fav beatles songs :D no wait.....THATS ALL THEIR SONGS :D

  • Join Always The Beatles on facebook !!

  • The Beatles Forever !!

  • it's good but I prefer the Stones!

  • nobody else like theamazingsamurai's comment, so it will forever be at 69

  • One of the classics

  • Dear X- Factor contestants- Watch, Listen and LEARN

  • This tune is so good that it chokes me up...seriously.

  • This great song wasn't even included in the original USA release of Hard Day's Night. My Dad had an original copy and this song wasn't on it - and it's among the best if not THE best song on the record.

  • @kissherlips1 It's my favorite song on AHDN (a record filled with great songs from beginning to end). Paul was still slightly behind John on AHDN, but was "coming up fast" with 3 terrific songs (this one, Can't Buy Me Love and And I Love Her).

  • @kissherlips1 problem with the beatles is that they had too many good songs

  • @isbusybeingborn You took mine D:<

  • ooooooooh my god i love that bit at 1:00

  • @kaiserkeller61 ikr! its da bomb :)

  • One of the best Beatles songs I have heard...

  • This gem never seems to be on the Beatles anthologies and compilation records yet inferior George Harrison songs like "Old Brown Shoe" always are.

    Go figure.

  • Just one of all the diamonds in the Beatles ocean. So melancholy, so deep. This is why I thank myself everyday for discovered the greatest band in music history.

  • @TaipeDiep i agree

  • the 2 folks who dislike this song need to find a different hobby from music...fab-4 ..4-ever !!

  • One of the songs that defined the 60s. Would there be any Nights in White Satin?

  • this was recorded on my brothes b-day :) and helter skelter was recorded on mine

  • How can TWO PEOPLE dislike this?? What's wrong with them?! Maybe they're too sucked up in music bullshit, like Justin Bieber.

  • @PhotoGraphsHaveFunn ....or that horrible Rap crap

  • @PhotoGraphsHaveFunn get over it.

  • So lovely, one of the Beatles best songs,a real feel good song.

  • flip side of hard days night single

    thelimey

  • flip side of hard days night single

  • flip side of hard days night uk single

  • @jellio2000

"oh we cant play all the songs, we'll just play zero" ya thats why

  • Part of the reason why you don't hear these songs on the radio is due to the fact that the Beatles produced so many awesome songs. They could dedicate a radio station to their music and you could probably play a weeks worth of their music and you would never hear the same song.

  • @jellio2000 Beatles-a-rama, a radio channel with nothing but Beatles music !

  • Deep in love

    Not a lot to say

    Great line!

  • My favorite Beatle's song.

  • One of my favorite early Beatles songs. I had the album, still do actually.

My friends and I used to sing it all the time in 64 and 65.

  • .......And I've never heard this song because....?

  • This is just one of my fave beatles songs.

  • Goes well, after all all this years after hearing this on an old BBC casette.

  • Love this song always!

  • Thanks for posting. I love this song, its a b side, i cant remember which one, i always used to play this on the juke box!

  • John + Paul Vocals = GOD's voice

  • @myrtlebox Paul & George are the singers in this song.

  • @rubenapez Actually its double tracked Macca vocals. George sang harmony live. My comment was in general.

  • Someday when I'm lonely,

Wishing you weren't so far away,

    Then I will remember

    Things we said today.

  • I like the old mix. This one weakens the feelings.

  • i love the bridge in this .if that's the proper terminology. "me i'm just the lucky kind..." that part. love the change and build-up to the vocal. so cool. all their songs had so many changes, cool hooks and riffs, and they invented so many little guitar licks that became instant classics, like the opening in day tripper, i feel fine, drive my car and countless others.

  • @1skullduggery how i agree--take"hello goodbye"-really its a daft little song but with all the background harmonies and general genius of the beatles, its an absolute joy--same as "got to get you into my life", so under-rated but the same things apply.

  • @1skullduggery CHECK OUT THE E TYPES ORIGINAL SONG

  • im from cincinnati and the dayton station WTUE 104.7 plays "breakfast with the beatles" every sunday morning 9 till noon. if they dont have something like that where you live mabey you could check out WTUE.com hope this helps any beatles fan who needs a fix

  • My all time favourite from them....

  • i notice that the beatles best songs seem to be the ones you never hear on the radio

  • @theamazingsamurai Allthough good songs, the freshness has worn out of them. There are several other bands' songs that have gone through the mill as well.

  • @theamazingsamurai What a coincidence! I was listening to the radio earlier today and this came on! So the radio does play them some times

  • @johnIemon lol i <3 ur username X3

  • @theamazingsamurai Those are some words of wisdom!

  • @theamazingsamurai Sadly it's like that with many bands. The radio plays what people want to hear and most people only know the Beatles and bands like them for the songs on their "Greatest Hits" albums.

  • @theamazingsamurai I agree

  • SMASH HiT !

  • me gusta

  • Ahh, this made my DAY!!!

  • It wouldn't be such a hidden gem if people would learn to stop focusing on the the later "brilliant works"? The Beatles peak in 1966 and then their writing got weaker so Wings and most of John's solo records were no surprise. I don't get the White Album and Abbey Road was not much better.

  • @11xzxzxz I think you fail to realize The Beatles were 100X greater together than the sum of each individual. They fed off of each other and inspired each other to make great music. Peaked in '66? Uh, no. It sounds like you prefer early Beatles to later Beatles. That's fine, but one of the great things about them is that they constantly strived for new sounds. If you think AR is bad, you are in the minority. Solo stuff suffers because it lacks the other three.

  • @myrtlebox Jesus gestalt guy you are serious about the whole being more than the sum of parts and solo works suffers because it lacks the other three? Pure genius. When I wrote "peaked" it doesn't mean I don't like some songs from all records. Damn I'm in the minority in not liking Abbey Road? Dat hurts because I know the majority knows what is right. And I checked and messed up before .. AR is worse than The White Album.

  • @11xzxzxz White album > AR? Uh...okay...please enjoy it.

Your comment went to 'hidden gems'. You admonish people to "stop focusing on later 'brilliant works' " Who is doing that exactly? "Things We Said Today" & "I'll Be Back" are probably perceived as hidden gems since they did not appear in AHDN film and are tucked on the B-side of the album. Peace! ;-)

  • @myrtlebox AR? is abbey road and you used the abbreviation first. People should listen to whatever they want but I just prefer more of the middle and some of the early stuff. I don't like Maxwell Silver Hammer, Octup. garden, mean mr mustard, the end, oh darling , because , carry that weight. I like Come together and hear comes the sun but could not sit through this record. The White Album is somewhat better but doesn't interest me .. most albums before were good. Peace.

  • @myrtlebox Dude just quit taking yourself so fucking seriously with your analytical nonsense. Nobody's impressed ok? It's the damned Beatles for god's sake. Just enjoy it and get over yourself.

  • All you X Factor 15 minute wonders- Watch, Listen and Learn.

  • One of their hidden gems.

  • This tune is incredibly haunting. Very powerful song.

  • Give this man four chords and he will come back with a masterpiece. The mark of a genius. Lennon wrote some amazing songs but Pauls were just magic.

  • @MissBeatleBailey Did you hear about the guy who owned the rights to their music when they were in their heyday? I am not knocking them (the beatles) by the way. I made a compilation of their very best songs. It runs about 40 minutes.... Taxman is my fave. ;-P

Me, a troll....? You ARE an intellectual light-weight, aren't you? (JUst nod your head, honey!)

    Peace.

  • This proves whoever really wrote their songs had talent... ;-P

One of the few genuinely good Beatles Songs...

  • one of my all time favorites. i can listen to this one over and over again, it just doesn't get old.

  • this song is tits...love the bridge.

  • this song is tits...

  • must admit, i prefer the mono version, must be showing my age!

  • when you get to the top the only way is down, but the beatles couldnt get down!

  • This song is as if the Beatles were thinking, "Fuck it, we'll show them exactly why we're the best"

  • wow, no one will be better.

  • Very ahead of its time

  • This was real hard to do live. Some of the live recordings you can hear the difference.

    But the harmonies are fantastic.

  • This was real hard to do live. Some of the live recordingsd you can hear the difference.

  • very underrated beatles song . . . fuckin yellow submarine i hate that song

  • I have become a believer in mono for early Beatles recordings; but this song and "You Can't Do That" just seem to come across more fully in stereo.

  • @krhincleveland listen closely. the beatles sometimes left small imperfections in the song because they thought it gave it character. brilliant

  • believe it or not this was the first song by THE BEATLES i've ever heard in my life... and it's still one of my favourites and the lyrics, yes, things we said today, the lyrics is just beyong and over... young beatles were able to create the poem like this, isn't it amazing?? after all this years I LOVE YOU ALL - JOHN, PAUL, GEORGE and RINGO, and i will always love you... things we said today...

  • 1:28 you can hear a mistake in Paul's vocal track when he says "on and on". Weird, I think the Beatles should of been edited more carefully but back then the technology was certainly not where it is now.

  • @paul7703 I didn't hear it in this song but if you listen to I'll get you by the beatles john says well theres gonna be a time when I'm gonna change your mind.....it sounds like paul says make when john says change.

  • @paul7703 hmm interesting I heard it to!

  • completely love this song!!!!! its genius!!! the beatles are sooo FAB! :D

  • my absolute favourite Beatles song...

  • Dijiste que me querrías aunque me tuviera que ir.

Estarás pensando en mi... de algún modo lo sabre

Algún día cuando este sola, deseando que no estuvieras tan lejos

Entonces recordare las cosas que dijimos hoy... <3

  • the best singing in Paul's beatles career. excellent George's harmony

  • love this song and i really love the bit where george gives his lil harmony with paul it's just awsome well the whole song is and all the songs!!!

  • ode to jane asher..

    paul´s ascendent = aries

    jane´s descendent = aries

    think!

  • @highschoolmusical841 No - Robbie McIntosh and Hamish Stuart on guitar, Paul Wickens on keys, Chris Whitten on drums, and Linda on keys and backup vocals - great show and I feel fortunate to have seen him while Linda was still alive

  • I forgot about this song.At night i keep on the TV with the golden oldies station on.I woke up to this song and said boy what i was missing all these years.

  • This is one of the best songs ever writen!

  • I had completely forgot this song existed!

  • Stunning record, saw them live when I was 8yrs old in England!

  • Great song.. Probably underrated!!

  • this one, "she's a woman", and "the night before" are among my favorite early beatles songs - i saw paul mccartney on his tour in 1990 and was thrilled when they played this song

  • This sounds EXACTLY like "Bus Stop" by the Hollies.

  • @BeerwithDonuts "Bus Stop" (a good song), wasn't released until 1966, this song came out in 1964...

  • @misfitfailure i never said bus stop came first

  • @discouniverse Why the fuck waste your time listening to a song you hate?

  • @RoseRadioactive Agreed Kinsman!

  • @discouniverse Anyone with "disco" in their name has no right to be the judge of music.

  • best song on a hard days night. simply brilliant.

  • It sure is Mr. Taylor. and to think they wrote these caliber songs in literally 10-20 minutes sometimes.

  • just when i think i've heard all of the beatles great songs, along comes another!

  • Best Beatles song ever & it hardly got the air time their other sings did.

  • This song has that early infinite tenderness before they became "bigger than Jesus" etc.

  • How have I not heard this before, this is absolutely incredible...

  • @Utsumo there is A LOT of very underated beatles songs....sadly

  • Such great songwriting...and Paul's voice is flawless. An oft-overlooked jewel!!!!

Me I'm just the lucky kind!

  • Justin Bieber wrote this. That why thiese dudes imitate his haircut

  • Classic Beatles

  • i have been listening to them for a few hours and i just realized just how amazing they were

  • Someday when im lonely wishing you werent so far away, then I will remember things we said today.... Oh, how I can relate to that.

  • this it it;sorry love,i want a divorce

  • GEM!!!!!

  • Way too underrated. some daaay when we're dreeaamiing. It chills me every time

  • I'm gonna do this one.

  • i'm covering this song in my band, it's easy to play, but sounds so good!

  • @lenmark59 Do you alternate between Am & Em in the first 8 bars of the verses when you perform it? It sounds to me as though John sticks with Am on acoustic guitar, while George alternates on electric guitar. (Could be wrong. YouTube diminishes audio quality.)

  • @FlingsPooAtTheZoo

We play this one live and yeah, we alternate between the Am and Em chords in the first 8 bars before the change to C and C7... hope this helps...

  • @CSNProductions Yeah, I think that's the logical way to play it. And now I just watched the "MC CARTNEY ACOUSTIC VERSION" video here, and that's how Paul himself plays it, alternating between Am and Em.

btw I love the part(s) where it switches to A(major) D B E. A happy/optimistic-sounding segment inserted in a song whose verses are kinda dominated by a minor chord feel.

  • @FlingsPooAtTheZoo It's actually alternating between Am and Em7.

  • Maybe one of the best songs ever written....

  • @JoshuaTaylor you are right !

  • @JoshuaTaylor Maybe? No question.

  • @JoshuaTaylor - 'maybe?' all songs of the Beatles best of the best in the world

  • @maxbatch70 Agreed, m8!!

  • @JoshuaTaylor THE E TYPES WROTE IT SANG IT TO

  • @310smoker You should deviate from crack to someting more modern.

  • @saladeofyou

IM A STONER GET IT RIGHT

  • <33333

  • Timeless!!

  • Outstanding!!!

  • @Palomabeat - ALL Beatles are OUTSTANDING, cheers

  • @maxbatch70 I feel exactly the same way. : )

  • great song

  • now that's better :))
