  • I've got the cps3 version for computer. And I can't understand the karas things. I can perform some awesome combos and cancellings but i don't get the kara thing... it's frustrating... And my main character is Ibuki (love to hit and combo everything with no limit), but there's no tutorial for her. I tried with akuma and nothing. I understand that's ->mp,throw rapidly... please help

  • ... kara throw is not with a little dash. kara throw is when you cancel a move quickly into a grab.

    EXAMPLE. Akuma's Forward MP which is his overhead chop. do that then quickly. and i mean quickly press the Lp+Lk grab command. that's a kara throw.

  • well, you move forward quicly and then throw (by canceling the move into the throw) so it's not totally wrong.

    But it's more like a "teleport throw"

  • Darkzro is right. o: It should almost feel like you're simultaneously pressing the input to be kara'd and the LP+LK. If it doesn't work for you, give or take little (SUPER SMALL) spaces of time between each input until you see the kara throw come out. After that, to get it to come out consistantly and reliably in matches, just practice. ;D

  • a kara throw is cancelling a attack of a character into a throw, the only really usefull way is cancelling an attack, which let the performing character step forward

    as example forward+m.punch with ryu->l. punch/kick let him do a kara throw

    it does not work with all characters, as example Ken does not have a move which let him use a kara throw usefully

  • Kara throws are hard, the only way i can pull it off, is by pressing all the buttons together f+Fp+L.P+L.K lol (For Alex)

  • Pros use it all the time. Its used to play mindgames on opponents mostly. Since the Kara increases the throw range its harder to read and thereby harder to tech.

    The f+mp is before the move's input...

  • I didn't find this very usefull and it had poor presentaion. I would have been nice for the video to display to us what moves you have to input before the grab; in stead of leaving people guessing. The way ThongBoy labeled the moves on the screen was pretty good though.

  • For ryu it's not f+hp for the kara throw, it's f+MP. The last part with akuma isn't karathrowing but relative to the concept (buffering really) you can grant more startup distance for his raging demon. While declining from his jumping lp you can quickly tap lp twice, then when you land you dash up while holding foward then quickly do lk, hp to finish the raging demon.

  • It's actually j.jab,jab,(land) kara-f.strong, short, fierce I believe

    you can tell because of the 'grunt' Akuma makes in kara-demon there is a f+strong in there

  • its the hardest thing to do..for surious. you have to press forward medium punch and do the super before you do the forward mp action. so you do the special before he even makes the grunt...AHH!! so haaard!!!

  • to show that when you kara to raging demon, your opponent has no time to jump up.

  • WATCH THE SHADOW OF YOUR CHARACTER then hit grab most normal that moves your shadow can be kara canceled.

  • kara throwing is done by pushing one attack before pressing the throw command. which attack depends on the character

  • Ahh i see, so how would you do it with ryu? Press forward fiece and throw right away?

  • it would be F+hp and then throw a split second after that. the timing is VERY strict, you have to push the throw almost at the same time as the F+hp
