I'm Filipino. And we pronounce almost every thing the same "A E I O U, KA KE KI KO KU" etc. (except RA RI RU RE RO) like how you see it is how you read it (ofcourse there are some exceptions.) but I wonder why I don't sound close enough to Japanese accent --___--
@Gimmeaflakeman : Well, that might be so, but I learned my Spanish (actually the Mexican dialect), while growing up near East L.A. Somehow Spanish seems much easier than Japanese. It would require years of study to become proficient in conversational Japanese. Well, I suppose we could say the same about Spanish, too.
Btw: Thank you for these awesome Vids, you're the only one who can properly explain phrases in a way I can understand them. This way I can learn English AND Japanese xD
@Gimmeaflakeman I'm a native spanish speaker, and for me, pronouncing japanese is very easy. Once in a while i put it to practice with japanese tourist (I live in Las Vegas) I wish i learned more, though; i just absolutely love the sound of the language
i've been having trouble remembering the word order for this.... if you're ordering more than one thing ~ like "mirukuti o futatsu to koohii o hitotsi kudasai"... is that right?
You guys are stupid. The gaijin in this video is a fucking idiot, probably one of those types who has 2kyu or maybe only 3kyu and acts all arrogant to other gaijin
"You don't say hitotsu!" Well, if he does it wrong, I guess it wouldn't be too bad if I did.

Hey, is the Japanese accent close to the Finnish accent to your knowledge?
Alot of the pronounciation rules seem the same.
SleepyFroggy 7 months ago
Japanese seems too difficult to pronounce. Just the alphabet alone would give me a headache.

Spanish and Japanese have the same accent.

I'm a native Spanish speaker too but even I have trouble sometimes. It's not the pronunciation you have to watch out for. It's the accent.
