  • what? KISS? Who's KISS? fuck KISS. Theyre fags. Compared to these guys, they dont compare

  • Siickest shit ever......

  • Am I the only person who thinks this sounds like "Strutter" by KISS?

  • @startrek12156

I think Kiss wanted to record this song at some point. I remember reading they had some kind of brief encounter with Kiss.

  • @leeharveyosmosis yeah, I know. But they were disgusted by Bobby and chose not to buy the songs.

  • Amazing Song! Pure rawness and power! Pentagram one of the best kept secrets.

  • This song is soooo epic!!!

  • bobby liebling and mark the shark should be everyones mian focous because they are the truth every thing else is just a lie

  • What a juicy orgasmic solo

  • ey man u cant compere nitro sage to this dude!! haha, your funny u know that

  • As much as I enjoy Kiss' early work, had they recorded this song it would have lost the beauty of the Pentagram version.

  • Catchy ass rocking stuff. I guess two deaf people hit the dislike button.

  • great stuff!

  • This sound like the early 1970s Awsome! The singer sounds like the very first singer from Deep Purple.

  • @pictureisup1 Thats what I thought too sounds like Rod Evans from the original Deep Purple lineup.

  • quello che ci voleva !

  • @tatersalad4292

Sorry dude, can't help you. bot at least i got the same prob. hoping so much to find a tab. i'm simply too bad to tab it by myself

  • not at all their sound they had on relentless but this is still fuckin great

  • Rumors said that Kiss want this song but they refuse to sell it...

  • @demonpainter22 thank god...lol

  • Radio is adevice for children to get used to rock n roll ,you know kinda like brakeing the ice with bands like Led Zepplen,AC/DC ,Judis Preist you know the usual stuff, but the kids grow up listening to these radio editted songs get tired of the same old songs and begian to lok for more dangous types of music and find the less radio friendly bands. Radio is kinda like a gateway drug it leads to the harder stuff

  • This should be on classic rock stations, I like that it isnt but its more than worthy, love this classic tune \m/

  • This song sounds like Kiss, but darker. Last Days Here is also a great song.

  • man, MDF has the best variety of metal bands. Cant beelive these guys are gonna play.

  • i agree blitzer it is 1 of the greatest songs of all time, fuckin magic guitar riff, not enough people know this classic

  • Oh I just love that song it's so stoner I just love his voice here so great

  • definitely interesting....these guys are playing deathfest in maryland this year!

  • Who plays this magnificent solo? It's the best one ever! Is it Vince McAllister?

  • Naw, I think it's Iverson

  • @SexyManatee2121 Yup, Marty Iverson, I did a little research, tnx anyway :)

  • Excellent song.

  • such a GREAT SONG...and band.

  • means a lot with a username like that, bud.

  • you really think Gene Simmons REMEMBERS 1975, let alone this band? of course his answer is no. you could have said one of his children's names and he would have said "never heard of him."

  • @MetricHotrodsdotcom gene did not take drugs or drink alchohol.

  • T.E.M.A.Z.O.!!!

  • best version of the best song of the best band in the world

  • @lihilasslo definitely, now i want to hug you. no homo

  • true story kiss tried to buy this song to put on the destroyer album. The band said no

so kiss would not help them get signed.

  • I asked Gene that and this is his answer:

    Hi, Gene!

Is it true story that Paul or you tried to buy the band called Pentagram`s song Star Lady in 1975?

Have a nice tour and welcome to Finland next year!

    Saku Ovaska

    Response from Gene:

    No.

Never heard of them. And, have never heard of the song. I'm sure they were a fine band

  • I hope your not serious about that.

Why would a multi millionare wanna talk to some kid on youtube?

  • Are you kidding me? I have met Gene couple of times and Gene answeres people`s questions on his website,l you should check his site and think what you are writing here. Also I have been a Kiss fan over 25 years, almost 40 years old:).

  • that's a lie. he and paul stanley went to one of their gigs, but didn't sign them because they didn't have an image

  • Why Gene would lie about that? That is anyway only rumour, nothing has confirmed ever and also rumour says that they did not want to help them because Pentagram did not sell their songs.

  • hahaha

  • Then thats settled....

  • Both true and false in that answer. The TRUTH is that Paul and Gene came to see the band rehearse on behalf of Casablanca. They liked the band but said they had no stage presence/image to market. There was no discussion of buying the rights to any of the songs. That part is rumour. I got the story straight from the drummer and guitarist in Pentagram. BOC's producer Sandy Pearlman also went to hear the band but there were problems which I don't really want to go in to, so that fell flat as well.

  • "They liked the band but said they had no stage presence/image to market."

Hmmm...yeah. Hence why really great music continually gets relegated to the shitter while "marketable" performers get to bring their hackneyed ad jingles to the masses...lucky us. Personally, I would like a lot more music and a lot less marketing....but that's just me.... :-p

  • but then how do the fatcats make money?

  • first daze here is action packed! love it! this is one of my favorites off of it. i recently discovered pentagram. i think i like the old stuff better, but i would love to hit up a mosh pit to this. lazylady is a good one aswell.... the entire last daze here album is fuckin badass. it makes me miss my wife.... either way, 5 stars all day long.

    miss ya babe.

  • wow...

  • INCREDIBLE POWERFULL

  • Pentagram = Leggenda!

  • This song is FUCKING AWESOME!!! I regularly play it on my MP3 player, it goes off!!!

  • I used to listen to this song while I was weightlifting in the weight room with all the guys. It made me feel strong, even though I was the only one curling 15 lbs. and the only girl. lol

  • Any music that is Kick ass like this can make anyone have a sudden jolt of power! lol

  • ha ha Yeah, so true. I may be a petite girl but a few tattoos & Pentagram on the airwaves means I could knock any man down.

  • haha amen!

  • Sounds like Blue Cheer! Great band!

  • 3:06

No words can describe how awesome that solo is, it flows perfectly from the buildup at 2:30 which has a spacey peaceful melody. That solo alone is so good I can't say it, i keep repeating that part.

  • I fuckin love them! Its trippin, all hail pentagram!¨even better than religion

  • I just discovered them on youtube...and noe I'm listening their songs over and over again

  • one of the greatest songs of all time!!! the greatest band of all time!!! hail bobby liebling!!

  • this song make feel more strong, the true sometimes is quite bitter but this music is our weapon againts the dull reality

  • Its like religion!

  • that's some really good stuff

  • cant find the discography ffs :@

  • GREATEST BAND EVER . !!!!

  • HELLL YEAAH, Pentagraaaaam!!!

  • fuckin perfect song. genius!

  • My absolute favourite song. These guys were absolute geniuses.

  • kensane,

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that Paul Stanley tried to buy Starlady but Liebling refused. This may explain why it has that Kiss sound to it. Also, Kiss declined to tour with Pentagram because of their "lack of image". In my opinion, I think it was because Kiss were afraid of a better band opening for them.

  • Of course ;)

I heard that Kiss also declined managing them for the same reason.... or one or the other. It's interesting how information can be distorted over time.

  • "Lack of image"? Heh...from what little I know about Pentagram, it seems that their image is just being a kickass Metal band.

  • @therealkraas SATAN

  • @therealkraas last time i checked music wasnt about how you looked. lol

  • @psycho015m Yeah that's what I'm saying.

  • @therealkraas Hell yeah, Kiss can KISS Pentagrams ass! ha.

  • I like this.

  • heard this track in trasher KING OF THE ROAD 2003 Team DELUXE DISTRIBUTION

  • yeah, more upbeat & Bobbys vocal delivery is a lot like Gene's.

  • Nothing wrong with thinking that it sounds like Kiss. This is one of Pentagram's best songs though. So catchy.

  • Guess I shouldn't have been presumptive about downloading etc....but too many people are willing to download an entire discography & the band will never benefit....

  • Downloading individual songs I think is okay, but whole albums need to be bought. Guess that one's up for argument though.

  • Sometimes it depends on the band, some don't care how they are heard, some struggle for years. Anyhow, yeah it's another argument

  • I have about the same opinion as you do Kensane.

  • PLUS, there was another group made of ex-Pentagram members without Bobby singing...They called themselves SEX. Look it up all those offended at Gratefulzep's KISS comment.

  • Fuckin Bobby Liebling is one of America's greatest vocalists of all time. For some reason he never got the full appreciation he deserved. This is America's Black Sabbath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pentagram could've been huge. It's just a shame what happened to them in 1975 when they were just inches away from getting a recording contract with CBS. Judas Priest got signed instead. But think about it, these guys could've been as big as Priest.

  • Geof O'Keefe himself states that Judas Priest rumour is untrue in the liner notes of "First Daze Here Too". Another reason to buy albums & not download them, you get the true story ;)

  • I interviewed Bobby Liebling himself and he told me that the CBS contract/Judas Priest story was true.

And you can put away your theory that I download albums and not buy them, thanks.

  • OK, I just pointed it out because O'Keefe said it was "nonsense".

  • Alright well thanks for pointing that one out. That's interesting.

  • This is one of their best songs ever, both lyrically and especially musically.....

  • great song, do you know what year it was?

  • 1976 Underground Sound Demo

  • alright, thanks

  • Not my favourite early 'gram track, but hell it still kicks ass.
