I've started watching the movie, and it seems great, but the trailer? Not so good. They should have had the English checked by a professional native speaker. The word choice, diction, rhythm--all just slightly off. That's a shame. That is, if they are reaching out to a native-speaking English audience. If not, then I guess that it doesn't really matter, then.

(I had to post this message in intervals cos it was apparently 500 words which was the word limit! lol)
Of all the characters in the movie, I feel the MOST sorry for the miskeen misguided youth! He was on the right path but the shaytaan took over him! Wallah I feel for him and the others that live in this world.
The same for the miskeen confused man! (the french dude and the sa3eede one too!!)
Ya Allah have mercy on us and make us from those that Fear you and Love you and forever live - to see you!
Brothers and sisters, yes there is some reality to this movie. but this should make us sad! cry! worry! These are the signs of the last day! Our beloved prophet has warned us of this!
Yes we are all human. And as humans we are prone to sinning! but ya naas lets not forget that a day will come that we will be infront the one that created YOU, your Lord and the lord of the worlds. How can we keep living like this?
Wallahi ya naas, this movie had made me cry! This is the 1st masri movie that I have EVER watched to make me cry!
I didnt cry because I felt sorry for the characters or beacuse of the reality behind the story. But because we have reached a time when watching obsence nudity and vulgurness has beacome the norm! The number of times that I have turned my eyes away from my comp screen in this movie I dont think I have ever done so in western movies!
Also, how the policeman lost his son...was that some sort of implication that because he had relations with the other man that he deserved this and that this is what happens to people who do things like that?
This is a great movie, Youssra is awesome as usual, I never knew she can sing that good, all the actors/actresses r on top of their game. Two thumps UP.

Just saw this on US TV. It's a truly fabulous, honest, heart-rending but uplifting film. One of the 100 best films of all time.

Very beautiful sad and emotional movie. I loved Adel Imam at the end of this trailer and what he was saying. :(

Can anyone give their opinion on what message the director or writer was trying to portray with the homosexual character?
Why did they have to kill him off and show that he had a tragic childhood? Were they trying to imply that this is why he was gay?

A very good story. Moreover the film is great; which is rarely the case when based on a book.
By the way I met Youssra in Cairo. See my video moretg
