Such nostalgia. Spyro made up my childhood ;D but yeah, this was probably the best spyro game, evar. My heart sank when my local video rental store replaced ps1 games with ps2 games. The guy gave me a strawberry lace because he saw how gutted I was, but it just wasn't the same. </3

I used to think the rocks you shoot at the lizards were meatballs lol. Also, my favorite Spyro game is actually the first. While 2 & 3 have more to do & are overall more fun, I think 1 had the most well thought-out level designs and I just liked the medieval fantasy theme more.

i used to play this with the original playstation, until it broke and my dad got the ps2, we played until the memorycard started to fail, i have the ps3 but ps1 and ps2 games wont work because its the cheap model, so i couldnt play spyro anymore, until i found out that the ps store had the spyro games but ps cards dont work on my system so im trying to gameshare my cousin for the spyro games

@LuisSuarez93 hey i live in australia and its called gateway to glimmer too. It's the region code NTSC- America get ripto's rage, PAL- Europe and Australia get gateway to glimmer no difference in the game though :)

Yo mate if you make another account you can make an american PSN (I used a hotels adress) and you can download spyro that way... and then even play it on your main account! Its a hassle I know but its worth it.

Make a new user and call it 'American psn' or whatever, then to go online with your new user, you will also need a new PSN. When you sign up, just give an american adress. I went on google maps and found a random hotel adress which I used and it worked fine.

@Kulska yes that is the legendary Tom Kenny who will always been known to me as Heffer wolf from Rockos Modern life but he went on to his most famous role of the voice of SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, and in this game there are a couple of spots were he uses his EXACT spongebob voice like the professer. The Original Spyro was done by Carlos Alazraqui and he was Rocko and then went on to be the mouse in catdog...

I bought all three already with a $20 PS network card.

If you know anyone that works on a post get connections with them, they can get American things, like PSN Cards.

@InsaNNNityyy They are exactly the same game; Gateway to Glimmer is just the name of the European release, for some reason, they felt the need to change it! As far as I'm aware (and I'm a fan of Spyro), they have exactly the same gameplay, levels, secrets, etc. Only the framerate is different, as is always the case between PAL and NTSC formats.

Oh, and I'm from England, so I have Gateway to Glimmer, and 'tis awesome! :)

Ripto's Rage - My favorite ORIGINAL Spyro Game. Loved the scenery of the levels, the details in the architecture, the characters, and the Plot. Loved all the things I could do with Spyro, and I loved Spyro himself! I have many childhood memories with this game, such a nostalgic game now. I also loved the music and voice-acting during the game as well!
