Totally wrong. I am describing a single payer system that works perfectly in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. NOBODY denies you your choice to use private insurers instead .
You will find a website of the Swiss Government describing the official from of health insurance. Klick on: Bundesamt für Gesundheit - Krankenversicherung
UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE is a fine thing, if the economy can afford it! they are talking 15.2% of the gross income in Germany at the moment. The problem in Germany is more about the monopolisation of the Chemistries and overpriced prescription driven medications. Hospitals are going bankrupt in the process of bureaucratic maneging within a newly formed health care fond that is supposed to feather price in-pacts of medication at the cost of doctors and nurses incomes and more unpaid overtime.
German doctors are fleeing from the system and going even to the UK due to low pay. meaning the quality of treatment is getting worse by the month. also waiting times have risen. Your bypass in 2009 would have been a different story, without an extra private insurance package.
Actually, the German health care system is NOT managed by government which set up certain rules in accordance with and under participation by the medical community. I have heard of no German hospital that went bankrupt because of Germany's universal healthcare system. My son lives over there and is quite satisfied with Germany's health care system. Despite higher taxes, those we know live quite well.
well your missing the big discussion then and you've missed out that entire wardens in not so dense regions are closed and empty due to cuts, causing people to be turned down even accident first aid patients also you're missing the so called healthcare reforms and the big debates. The German system is a good weather system like most systems always are :-) without a private extra insurance on top of the ~15%and living in the right area your a 3rd class patient in germany
I still fully agree with your video, but things are not Generally that "good" as you have experienced and know of from the past. They have actually gotten very much worse with the tendency to get really bad and expensive! I think it's mainly the result of the German 1 party ruling system at present causing more trouble than reasonable good for the General public. 10 Minutes of ULA SCHMIDT and would want to friendly pat her on her chin
Both sides of the pond are being encouraged to use CFL (not neon) and led lighting, it saves energy and it saves money and helps against the folly of building nuclear power stations.
Well Germans get 30hrs week, they only work 35hrs a week anyay. We end up with a 3 day week which is a 16hr reduction.
If America went to a 30 hour week, it could reduce unemployment potentially. With our brutal commutes, it makes more sense to only work on-site 3 days. That could save us pollution. I am sick of US businesses co-opting the worst of every other system to use against workers but never adopting the better labor practices that could make life better for all.
You are Describing a System which does not allow the individual free choice. Each individual should be allowed the freedom to choose.
