I saw them last night at the Cletic Classic festival in PA and I just can't understand why so many people like them. There bag pipping is really good but they are too gimmicky, flashy and a sloppy mess on stage. There a coverband with pipes at best.

I saw that show last night and it wasn't that bad. They have a lot of talent. I agree it's gimmicky, and it's not my favorite. I liked Glengarry Bhoys and Barley Juice better. A lot of the time I don't like the bigger names as much as the smaller ones. My favorite bands from the Celtic Classic are from 10 years ago, Raglan Road and Clandestine.

@ piperkid. The Irish did NOT invent the bagpipes. The bagpipes r "believed" 2 have come from the middle east. The Roman empire spread the instrument but they could not penetrate Scotland. The Scots couldn´t get out and the Romans couldn´t get in. The pipes in Scotland were cut off and developed on their own, that is why they are completely different from all the others. They became bigger, louder and harder. The real name of the pipes in Scotland is "The Great Highland Bagpipe" ....UNIQUE!!

i seen them in oban in community hall and metthem all afterwards concert was amazing big time and guys were great and didnt brag about there amazing tallent. They said they owed it to oban to give concert and i travelled to see one of the best concerts in my life and ive seen clapton,dire straits,meatloaf,rod stewart,queen,elton john ive seen the best of but chilli pipers are up there for one of the best the guys are brill
