  • the girl playing helen did such a good job i remember her from those pepsi commercials lol

  • So maybe they should finish her story and make another movie on how she became an author, political activist, and received her bachelors degree. Her story is more than what people think.

  • I want to see a staring contest between Helen Keller and Stevie Wonder.

  • i love this version i saw the other one and i almost wanted to cry because i was so bad

  • im watching this again its so wonderfull

  • i remember bits and pieces of this movie...i think the last time i saw it was when i was in fifth grade. good movie XD

  • :( thats how my family treats my they just give me free chocolate and move on although i do love chocolate but i would love skittles

  • Comment removed

  • i love this movie

  • The original is the only one to watch. This version is devoid of the true emotions a family feels/the experiences they go through, having a "disabled child" or one with severe medical problems. i know. I lived it. It is terrifying. In the original you can feel the love the mother has for Helene. this version is "dead."

  • No point calling her name out when she can't hear or see...

  • @orecordpornos you are an ass. Get on google and do the research, dumbshit.

  • @POTCLUVR337 i watched the whole 17 epesodes and cryed at the end dont call me an ass now i know u fuck

  • Comment removed

  • @irecordpornos The first "deaf and dumb" person to go to college and graduate. She was very intelligent, and perhaps you should take a leaf from her book and educate yourself.

  • @lostgrl06 haha suck my balls

  • @irecordpornos Suck your own, douchebag.

  • they remade this? they remade this???? are you kidding me???? they actually had the audacity to remake this movie???? that's a f-ing crime, and the people responsible should be shot

  • @MyMomSaysSo And such a lousy version, too! a total waste of time and so many resources! --Though I suppose somebody made money on it.

  • the original black and white version is MUCH better

  • I'm so glad this has subtitles too. Always find it a bit difficult trying to figure out what's being said.

  • This has to be one of my favorite movies ever, going over the life of one of my major inspirations; Helen Keller. I love how she had a positive outlook on life, even though she was blind, completely deaf and had speech impairment. Just goes to show that anything is possible if you work really hard at it, to get where you want to be, and not give up. :)

  • @rachm1991 Watch the original! Not only is the young girl (Patty Duke) better, Ann Bancroft is outstanding! Unbelievable! Incredible! in the teacher role. This version is NO comparison to the original. I've also found many other original movies here on youtube! I love youtube! From the stupid to the sublime! I enjoy everything, except some peoples' comments.

  • @liagarden I've seen the original one too! I do say that one is better, but I like this one too. I don't know which one to choose! :P They're just both so accurate though, especially the original one! Haha, and who doesn't love Youtube?! Minus the comments though, yeah.

  • Ill put my hand in your mouth like hellen keller

  • i saw tgis movie in the 3rd grade

  • i am wathhing this movie at school and learing how to stalk with my hand it is so much fun

  • am i the only one laughing because everyone keeps talking to hellen?

  • @BlueprintHD no, i find it pretty hillarious :)

  • I read the story cool and sad

  • this was back when disney was cool now its corny, unrealistic and lame.

  • that little girl is such a good actress!

  • i ain't the baby daddy

  • poor girl...

  • Lol'd help she's trying to kill us again!!!LMFAO

  • the sound is all out of sync, un-watchable

  • We watched this movie after reading the novel. :)

Just sharing. It has a very meaningful message about life.

  • some body know where can I get this movie in Spanish?

  • some body know where can I get this movie in Spanish

  • Nawh, i miss how most disney movies started out with the begging with the castle :'[<3

  • @ogkush1000 your an idiot. You say it like people chose to be blind you prick. Yet I bet you'd get all pussy hurt if I called you a nigger and if I said fuck your race huh?

  • @eprado91 stooping to his level: yer doin' it right.

  • What did Helen Keller scream when she fell off the mountain?

  • i wanted to see this cuz i learned it in school and wanted to see the vid

  • @ogkush1000

Who do you think you are to say things like that?! That is vile and uncalled for! It's amazing that you seem to think you're so great! I bet you couldn't do half of the things Helen accomplished in her life even with all of your five senses!

  • @ogkush1000 ...you have no soul you bastard

  • I like this version, any age can watch, and it could learn a lot from this, that if you work hard on what ever you do,hard like this teacher and this kid,All will be success.

  • i laugh when she cut her best friend hair

  • she could talk she just didnt know how

  • I think Hellen was deaf and blind and had autism

  • Comment removed

  • He is so mean calling his sister dumb, expically when she is blind and deaf !!!

  • @IndigoCat17

just to clarify 'deaf and dumb' was an old-school term for deaf people

  • Comment removed

  • Those kids are stupid, they think Hellen trying to kill them

she doesn't know what she is doing she is blind and deaf

and might have a slight bit of autism too.

  • @IndigoCat17 She was not autistic, however, being deaf and blind has similar isolating effects to autism as well as creating obvious difficulties in understanding the world and communicating with others.

  • What year is this movie for real?

  • Awwwwww The little girl that plays Hellen is really pretty I love her hair LOL

  • this movie reminds me of my junior year in high school when we put on the play it was really hard work. makes one thankful that one can see and hear

  • This is a very good movie, i like it, i will watch it tomorrow again.

  • i love the story of helen keller.do to the movie ive learned sign language the same that anne tought her.and im only 13

  • poor helen keller

  • what an amazing little actress!

  • She wasn't trying to kill Martha. She was trying to express her feelings...

  • Ringing softly :DDDD

  • This is the movie that inspired me to learn sign language and I am now persuing teaching in a deaf school.

  • hey...that's the girl from bicentennial man....

  • When Annie taught others finger spelling, what did she say Helen was?

  • What was Helen's first word in finger spelling that she learned? D-O-L-L or C-A-K-E

  • Poor Helen. Must be depressing that you have so much to say, but not being able to say it.

  • im auditioning for the part of helen in the play soon

  • @JAMbannana good luck hope u get the part =D

  • @jrockluv Thanks

  • I loved this movie when I was little. Unbelievable memories. :*)

  • SHE IS A GOOD ACTOR

  • The black boy looks like Michael's son Walt from Lost.

  • Awww

  • just kill the retard and be done with it/...

  • @TheScrewed0ver ur so mean lets kill YOU

  • @thejoyandfaith123 if people actually enjoy shit like this then go for it, please

  • @TheScrewed0ver And yet she grew up and earned a PhD.

You have eyes and ears and no PhD.

    Just breaking it down.

  • @groovylocks How and what did she get a PhD in??

  • @TheScrewed0ver i might actually be wrong about it being a PhD.. Wikipedia says it was a BA. And as to how, think about it. She learned to communicate through Anne Sullivan who was there to help her through her life. My blind friend plays double dragon on classic nintendo and can beat anyone. How? He hears what's going on. People with disabilities adapt well. They tend to be able to do pretty much anything we can.

  • it is a sad movie

  • am i the only one who finds the subtitles ironic??

  • @Corenellen no, how are they ironic?

  • @Corenellen How would the subtitles be ironic? A hard of hearing or deaf person might choose to watch the movie this way an not have any other close captioning system.

  • hi Miracle woker

    it a good show

  • Back when disney wasn't about trends, popularity, and dumb shows,

when it was filled with great animated series and education videos

  • @AndrewFAILS Omg is this disney?!

I never knew it was like this. It woud be wonderful if it stil was.

I hate the new tenage shows and stuffs like that.

  • @AndrewFAILS So true!

  • @AndrewFAILS and racist biggotry. lol

  • Thats Jesse Eisenbergs sister:)-

  • @akumu102

she's also the girl from the movie pauly.

the movie about a talking parrot.

  • at the beggining i was like "DISNEY!!!evn helen keller belongs to you!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • @619426 Yeah it is! It's Lucas Black :D I recognized his accent before I got a good look at him though :P

  • what's really amazing, is if you look up the story from anne sullivan herself, it didn't really take very long to tame the "beast" so to speak. which really proves how intelligent helen was, that after so many years isolated w/ no way to communicate, she managed to make the connection between the finger movements and objects.

  • Another way that shows how smart she was is before Anne came she did have a way of communicating with about 60 things. Like in this movie her sign for "mother". She made up her own hand signals. Nevertheless she still needed Anne as she had no idea about words and didn't have a signal for everything which was extremely frustrating.

  • its ethan from power rangers dino thunder!

  • helen keller is a true to life story :) she inspired me when i was just in preparatory , i rily love this story. she became a suma cumlaude graduate :)

  • inspite of her disabilities she stands tall!!wat an inspirational personality!!!

  • hey this kathrine my gril is binld andd

  • hey this kathrine my gril is binld andd

  • I watched the older version in primary school in ... I think it was in 2002 or something, 2002 / 2003. I admire Helen so much and everyone that worked for / with her :) Those people are such inspirations!

  • poor Helen,, people thought she's stupid.. but you know they don't even know what Helen was trying to say..

  • Is that Sean from Tokyo Drift?

  • is this the 2000 one?

  • imagen , not being able to hear see or talk :( Thats so sad :((

  • @careandsweet your right it is sad but still people feel the need to discriminate against people who have such disabilities which is not right.

  • @sockerprincess i no! Like really who in this world could ever insult or make fun of helen keller :( all the hard things she's been through. All those jokes that some idiot made up, how hurtful.

  • I prefer the older (way older) version for some reason.

  • thank you so much for uploading this!

  • It's sad children are still treated abusively that's way powerful.

  • I don't like the video I love the video.

  • I prefer the 1962's version

  • @somelovinaussi

    savdjajd

  • @somelovinaussi I like both of them

  • @somelovinaussi me too

  • as a visually impared person i think helen keller is over-rated she wouldn't be anywhere without annie sulllivan oh lets get this out of the way no i haven't always been blind , i can type because my computer talks and no i can't see the screen i figure out what's going on by conversation and no perverted men i will not grab your white canes oh and to the other visually impared peeps on this site i've been uploading audiobooks if you want to have a look

  • @GothickaAngel1992 ? and your point is? Don't rant on a video.

  • @123missylove shut up i'll say wht th fuck i want this is america so FUCK OFF if u dnt like my comment dnt read it

  • @GothickaAngel1992 Wow the "This is America" speech. Hunny, I've lived there. Ranting on a video makes yourself look like a complete fool. Using language doesn't make yourslef look good either. Someone is a tad grouchy today, huh?

  • @123missylove like i said i'll say wht i wanna so if you have a problem go away or just do us all favor and die

  • @GothickaAngel1992 You are so funny! Can you not come up with something better to say? Aw, bless. Well good luck with visually impared life. You're gonna need it mate.

  • @123missylove really dude just stop my point of veiw is my point of veiw and no matter how much you childishly try to insult im not impressed grow up not everyone sees eye to eye and it would suck if we did could you at least try to act like a mature human being and if you really didnt care about my point you would have responded so please just go back to your miserable life and i'll go back to mine don't bother me again or i will report you and i dont want to be a bitch that way good day to you

  • 22@GothickaAngel19 got that right

  • @stacia1977 ty

  • i just love this story

  • Many typos below. My bad.

  • Disney makes it look like the cellars had slaves. Helen was born intone 1880s after the civil war. Mt daughter is reading her autobio. This Disney shit won't be the version she watches lord know what elsethey " embellished".

  • I love James <3 :D

  • hey its the girl from the pepsi commercial :)

  • EWW Y U LIKE HER

  • Helen was something else, but great movie!

    ♥♥♥ Marashor ♥♥♥♥

  • What did Helen Keller’s parents do to punish her?

    - Left the plunger in the toilet bowl

  • Thanks for putting this up! I have not seen this movie in such a long time and it is rarely shown on tv. It is a good film

  • and i thank her for this but if if ana sulivan gave up hellen would have never wrote her book

    loved it

    couldnt sleep

but i love hellen kellen and anne suvilan.

    cant get enough

    kisses x. :) mwa

  • if helen keller was such a good person, why did she torture her dog by naming it GJDJBSFKJLSSDDURUGIDBGK

  • @mercturd85 no i think she named it PHURGHAHURG. which means Maggie.

  • @mercturd85

Wow. Really? Do you even understand that what she went through must have been hell for her? How can you make fun of something like that. She was an innocent child, and she was frightened her entire life. If you keep making jokes like this, karma will come back to haunt you. You or your children will eventually be blind/deaf. Then you'll see how difficult it is...

  • @kelceejofarra i can be blind and deaf all i want, i still wont name animals such dreadful names

  • @mercturd85

No, but you'll always be an ass. Good day to you sir.

  • @mercturd85 You are the most unfunny person on this planet. If you knew anything about how hard it was for helen you would write a new comment.

  • did she give her drugs or candy?!

  • @NerdyEmoGirl1 It was a piece of candy.

  • why does it have so many parts?

  • Helen Keller has been my hero since i was oh, gosh! 8, 9 years old! I'm 19 now and i still think she's and incredible person! I seriously disapprove of the ppl who make fun of her tho >:(

  • where do buy this movie?

  • @TheLittleTwits Amazon.com would be a good try :)

  • I Love This

  • i love Helen Keller she is my hero since i read the book Helen Keller before i did not really know about her

  • It takes a lot to fully understand the deaf and blind. I learned sign language by age 10 and still am learning.

  • Stupid annoying black kids! Why accusing Helen of trying to kill them?

  • @MsPeachPrincess21 oh... maybe because everyone white man they see has every right to lynch them for no reason at that time...? of course they're scared.

  • now she gone crazy.....awwww

  • The rapist strikes again

    (No offence)

  • "Why she stickin her fingar in mah month" racism it isnt funny. come on dont act like its just me.

  • I don't like this version of Helen Keller . ):

  • when i watch this movie this my favorite until now .. :))

  • i love this movie i'am reading the book now also

  • hahaahaha this is funny stuff! that kid was crazy, can you imagine her running around doing this shit putting her fingers in your mouth and trying to stab people with scissors!

  • @deadeyeslave its a matter of understanding the concepts behind the truth of the deaf and blind.

  • @No1vetswife4life it was just a fucking joke people stop responding to that comment, i could care less about your opinions or helen keler. i understand the subject full well! stop cluttering up my email over that stupid fucking comment that i made with no thought apon that matter. it was a joke!

  • @deadeyeslave hey i thought it was really funny! I am email clutterer

  • @deadeyeslave Helen was not crazy. She was wild and full of rage. She was desperately alone in darkness and silence so she grew very angry. Can you imagine yourself totally shut up in a dark and silent place? For many day?How would you react?I would go mad.She could not talk and wanted too,so she was jealous of talking people and little girls.

  • @fisteberg what are you talking about!? "she was not crazy. She was wild and full of rage" "so she grew very angry" "I would go mad" sounds like crazy to me. ok i don't care about helen keller! i have no empathy for her or her plight. i'm glade she's dead. ;)

  • @deadeyeslave You should kill yourself. Hellen Keller did more for the world in a month than you will ever do.

  • @jonnyisleet will do, and thanks that's just the push I needed. ;)

  • is it just me, or is the beginning to this movie funny?
