Probably true about the many, but certainly not all. And it becomes something of a dangerous "catch-22," doesn't it? If Americans can't get more mainstream exposure to great works, then they're less likely to seek them out -- and the cycle continues.
At any rate, I'd be proud to continue to be a patron of the NFB, if they would let me.
