Never get tired of these great craggy Nordic peices. SO much fun to play. Thanks for sharing this with us. You seem to have a real feel for this stuff. Have you ever had the chance to see the German organs that this music was conceived on? If you ever do, take your cam with you.
well its still bigger. this organ has 31 stops on the left side, the 75 has 48 stops on the left side. and there is 3 32'
Just wondering too how deep is the organ you are playing from the back to the front, console only? I need to makesure it fits through the door with out taking stuff off! So If i get your depth I can mabey add a couple inches to the possible depth of the 75.
@Arky83mi That isn't an MDS-80S. The 80 is a 4 manual. I grew up in a church that had one :) The church I play at now has an ADC-3100, which is a 2 manual
Bruhns Was by far in my opinion the best and most tallented composer before Bach,we are very unlucky that most of his works lost and that he died at the age of 31
Good version, Joe/Arky, but maybe you try a more unequal tempo (it's stylus fantasticus!). You are a very fine organist indeed, my respect fro your art!
The organ seems to me bad for a baroque masterpiece like this.
You always have a flair for finding the most interesting works, many of which are obscure to some of us. Thanks again for another great contribution. I always look forward to your videos.
Well I got the score of the other Prelude an Fugue in E minor and currently am working on it. Not quite as flashy as this one but a good piece nevertheless.
First of all, thanks so much for posting this, and also for posting it as a vid. resp. to OedipusC... You sent me off on a delightful Bruhns tangent - while I should have beeen doing my taxes :(
I particularly enjoyed your timing and registration.
Not to be a greedy fan, but I hope you will record more Bruhns... please??
Bruhns wrote some GREAT organ stuff...unfortunately most of it is WAY over my head...this piece has a very long and complicated almost double-fugue. I have the music but it looks like he just spilled a bottle of ink on the page and let it dry and then had it published haha. Good stuff but MAD complicated some of it
excellent!
