I find it so tragically beautiful that she sees the sun for the first time, for real, right before she dies. Oh my gosh I can't even describe how that makes me feel. It's kind of like closure for her character; a state of grace. And then Neo kisses her farewell, it's just... so sad. And it makes me think about death, I guess. I really start to cry, though, when he's moving out of the ship without her. That's when it hits me that he just lost her forever.

@brandon2003alt yeah he's definitely dead. There's a whole system of symbolism and philosophy behind it but the basic idea is that Neo is the opposite of Agent Smith. The combination of the two = nil thus ending the cycle of the matrix(es).

However, I think the point of the third film was to show that there are good programs in the Matrix (like the Oracle) who still sympathize for the survival of human beings. The Oracle believed that peace could be achieved between the Zionist humans and advanced programs that control the Sentinels. OMG, I have only just realised it, what the professer said when he gave Neo a choice of the two doors, he said he could save Zion but it was Trinity's destiny to die and he couldn't save Zion until she did and now I get it, she had to die for him to be able to save Zion, the first time, he saved her so the plan didn't work when they first tried to save Zion but she died this time so in the end he saved it. Wow. I only just get it :L
