@dtr4eva Yes it is. There were four 90m sections built in a dry dock on the Tyne. They were then floated down the river (seen in this clip) to the site of the new tunnel, submegred, joined together and the water inside them pumped out.
Aye, well you can always tell folk that you were one of the first people to 'USE' the Second Tyne Tunnel, albeit use as a platform to shott some video ;-)
