When we recorded this song I remember Mad Dog saying I sounded like Micheal Franks singin Funk, Would do you think, Wrap you up and take you home was my part, and also I play all the guitars on this and every L.A. Boppers song, we had so much fun making these records, The best times of my life, thanks Augie,Mad Dog,Ed Reddick,Gerry Davis, Bobby Lyle, Micheal Stanton,Stan Be Bop Martin, Mike Evens,The Boppin Brass, and even you Forest and Wayne Henderson who got all the money and keeped it all
I heard this the first time on a mixed album I bought becaurse of another record it contained. But this one was even better than the song I originally looked for.. Fantastic! This really sounds like a worn out vinyl, but nothing an EQ can't fix and it's stereo! This is truly a great funk song!
Great tune - the JFS crew played this on saturday in streatham, blew my mind!! Shocked no one has commented or rated this tune.... Thx for uploading it.
If your into the house thing check out Pépé Bradock - 18 Carats. It was his first release back in '97 in which he cuts this track up to make a really cool dance floor track. Yam Who? have covered this not so long ago, it's more electronic based but still really good. I'll stick it up when I get a chance. Sound, take it easy.
Hi Johner74, got the Yam Who? version on Ubiquity, nice version. The posted original though, as ever, sounds so much funkier, makes me want to spin, drop and shuffle!!
