is it running better now? i have a very similiar setup and we had issues with the blended map vs. tps. We opted to push the slider all the way right and it helped greatly.
Oh ya, this was pretty much first day of starting it up and still learning about megasquirt. Right now it runs extremely smoothly. I daily drive the car and get about pretty good mileage with my economy map (28/14mpg high/city) and the throttle response on the track is pretty much spot on right now. Its just a matter of try to extract more power out of it now with a better exhaust system, and cold/ram air intake. More info about the megasquirt is on the rx7club website
uh.. im kinda stumped here.. at 0:04 your distributor is in the middle of the screen and its looks to me like your cap and rotor are missing.. what kind of ignition system do you have on here? im just a little bit confused haha..
nice car you have. im hoping my FB will be running right soon.
Well since the car is Fuel Injected now, I'm running the Crank Angle Sensor and ignition modules from a second generation rx7. So no more distributor, all the ignition is controlled through the megasquirt providing more control.
Thats not a carburator , they're ITB's (Individual Throttle Bodies) from Fuji Racing. If you look on the rx7club "dot" com forum you'll be able to find plenty of help for carbutaro options.
The engine is already Street ported right now, once all is said and done, I would like to hit about 180-190 whp NA with a streetport with a few more tricks up my sleeve. But I'll have to wait till I fill up my pockets a bit more before i can start doing that.
What kind of numbers do you think a bridge port would put down with your same set up. I am looking at putting down around 210 or so at the wheels N/A.
That should be achieavable provide that the whole system (Especially the exhaust) is up to par. If I were your also, I'd go with 50mm bodies for a bridge port.
I saw you last year at a cscs event, i had a red honda civic, redhair lol. My buddy has a bright green crx...looking forward to going with my 2nd gen!
ahh ... I remember you. I never saw your buddy after the first time. Hopefully I'll have my supercharger strapped on for next year and be double the power that I had. I should also have T2 brakes all around, custom rims and probably going to run the Toyo Proxes R888 tires instead of those Falkens that weren't the greatest ..
