This clown is a pus bag. He's in the pocket of big money and cares little about anyone who's not rich and powerful. He quit being a doctor cause he found he really didn't like helping people. He just lies on every point. 75% of those with private insurance never had a major claim, that's why they're happy.
Sean, Thank you for your note. I should have been more specific in my critique. Coburn's "Patient's Rights Act" is legislation that does "ZERO" to stem the control of private insurance cost. Taking tax breaks from employers and doling them out to individuals will do NOTHING to stop insurers from their outrageous pricing scheme. The "State Health Insurance Exchanges" are NOT required BUT "encouraged." Both the CATO Institute and the CBPP agree that this bill would NOT address the issue of cost.
My response to Coburn: Health care hasn't been an individual choice since the advent of the modern insurance company. Wake Up! There is already a "bureaucrat" between a doctor and patient.
Finally, this entire "Senate Doctors Show" is a sham. I love Oklahoma and Wyoming, but you need to question your part-time (they also have time to work as doctors???) Senators. YOU WILL CONTINUE TO PAY MORE IF THESE MDs HAVE THEIR WAY. THEY OFFER ZERO SOLUTIONS IN THE FORM OF LEGISLATION. ZERO. ZERO. ZERO.

iowactor, Sen. Coburn has a health care reform plan, the Patients' Choice Act. You can learn more about it at his Senate website.
