  • wow watching the last episode and seeing "the end" leaves a saddness in me one that I don't think will ever be filled again :(

  • You as well biscuit

  • Accart, thanks

  • Force of Nature - Same ol Thing

  • Hay anyone know the name of that song playing in the background? Thanks in advance

  • @D33ZY1990 Same Ol' Thing - Force of Nature

  • Its funny, cuz Jin Kariya is the name of a character from the Bleach anime! What a coincidence.

  • @MrCrimsoneyedprince and he's a total faggot

  • Holy crap, I have the top comment. This is a good day!

  • @warwatcher91 odily enough, not a top comment...

  • both mugen and jin should have died, but if they did id cry.

  • @YUKONH0 thanx :)

  • Jin should have died.... I really hate it when they don't let hero's die in animes and they "somehow" manage to heal back to full health. There is no way someone could live a blow like that, not even in this era...

  • @RakeBone He barely survived the attack and if the heroes died then what would be the point of the show anymore? Unless their is a follow up from it, they can't kill the heroes. Now if they did and found a way to incorporate it into the story I'd be surprised. Like Death note on how one character dies, then it turned into part of the plot then after that the main hero died as well.

  • @melloanthony

Fantasy is never reality but at the same time when you make a fictional story about reality there needs to be some consistency. If aliens just showed up in U.F.O's the anime wouldn't make much sense now would it?

Sure you could somehow "creatively" incorporate it into the show but at this point in the story alien's showing up makes no sense.

The point is that Jin should have died from a fatal blow on a realistic viewpoint but, the author simply could not kill him off

  • @RakeBone I get your point. He should have died. But since the fact of what happened to prior shows that I guess they were too strong. Even if the blow seems ridiculously fatal. I mean Mugen? God he survived an explosion and was limping. Jin escaped and was a Ronin for a while. There's some realism, but for them to die off, either the show's going to end, or there's something about to happen. I see your point though.

  • to all who say "jin should have died 100% change hurr this is not according to realism":

first this is a show, you intriguists

second, go see several wounded war veterans, who took several bullets, and survived war camp torture, not just a sword, in "realism" things like this can happen too, albeit very uncommon.

  • @fkizz00 Intriguists isn't a word, what are you trying to convey?

Besides this, you fail to realize that even in shows there are certain rules that the fiction follows. i.e. Aliens will not appear in U.F.Os in Samurai Champloo.

In terms of realism, even in OUR current MODERN DAY era if you get stab in your stomache there is very little chance of survival thus, in that era, surviving from such a fatal wound is rather.... Unlikely.

  • @RakeBone

intriguists exist in my mother tongue so used an anglo-version of it by rush.

well, so you complain about jin getting stabbed (it wasn't on the stomach, was on the right part above the hip, if you notice the pic), but ignore kariya literally using a powerful magic ki-shot to repel mugen jumping at him, or making the water walls when he swings his sword in the water (see mugen jin vs kariya)

and "alien ufos" don't follow human technology, there could be "aliens" in egypt like today

  • @fkizz00 regardless of the fact that intriguist isn't a word in a english dictionary, I highly doubt what you wrote was the definition of the word

besides this, champloo, although having force emmiting attacks and blind spearwoman who can crush rocks; still has a good grasp of realism. A stab such as that, regardless of whether or not it hit the stomach is FATAL. There was just too much of a disconnect from reality by Jin living

I also lol and roll my eyes at your alien comment

    LOL!!!

  • @RakeBone

I myself said before intriguists isn't an english word, derp. In a bad translation would mean "people who like to create argues and provocations out of unnecessary crap". like you for example

as for the rest, you have Mugen surviving the ship explosion, falling a huge tall cliff with sharks bellow; Jin surviving falling down a cliff during the fight with his former dojo friend, it's part of this series logic the protags surviving near-death experiences, deal with it, u "anime pro"

  • @RakeBone

about the UFOs, it was you who brought the UFOs to the discussion, not me, I found that weird from the start, so you must be loling at the mirror.

and no I'm not an alien abduction believer, and personally I don't believe aliens ever visited earth. and consider they don't exist as most probable.

a civilization can be more technogically advanced than other with no correlation. like british- zulu war

and champloo had an episode about zombies. you prolly forgot about that one too.

  • @fkizz00 You are some kind of stupid. What kinda language is intriguists from? I typed it into google and I got nothing. I also find it stupid of you to have not defined it when I asked in my first reply, "derp."

Besides this point, there is a difference between ship explosion b/c the anime focuses on "Samurai" combat and protrays it in a realistic way. Thus a fatal stab is less believable.

Gtfo with the Aliens in Egypt LOL!!!!

  • @RakeBone

the word intriguistas comes from latin, roman empire. used at least in portugal. It means someone who likes to annoy.

I already said I'm not an alien believer, it's in your mind that I am. Basically if there aliens (which I repeat, I do not believe) they can be more advanced than us in any time period, not just XXI century.

Seems you have nothing left to say except to pretend I'm a believer of aliens in egypt. Go play your kids online vidya while trying to make mature voice on mic.

  • @fkizz00 I'm just gona reply with a quote from your previous comment

"Go play your kids online vidya while trying to make mature voice on mic."

    Enough said LOL!!

  • @RakeBone

That doesn't even make sense. Anyway you have nothing decent to say so kthxbai

  • @fkizz00 incoherent moron is incoherent

  • @RakeBone

    butthurt youtube user is butthurt.

now cmon, you're just pushing it to gratitious insults, no point anymore, lets just stop it, this is just an anime

  • @fkizz00

I hope by gratitious you mean gratuitous because I sure don't want to google a made up word, AGAIN!!!!

    You "intriguist"

  • @RakeBone

"Intriguistas" exists, ask any south european philologist. Maybe the word was too complex for you. A Portuguese word derived from Latin. English isn't the only language in the world you know.

Asides from that you're trolling is 2/10 atm. let's stop spamming this video on behalf of other users.

  • @fkizz00

All words are made up LOL!! Maybe this concept was too complex for you

Your comprehension skills are 2/10 atm. Just gtfo and think twice b4 you "intrigue" someone to argue with you

  • @RakeBone

go check a portuguese dictionary then, or latin.

anyway you have no means to judge my comprehension skills. just stop sulking and lets end the spam here.

  • Stabbed him right in the weiner.

  • this song what is it

  • Why Jin survive but not kariya

  • @9741mk I thought bout that and came up with a somewhat sensible answer-Jin has done this tech. in the past based on his comment before the fight-both fighters hav sim. fighting styles-so he knows when he does a certain move that Kariya will know how to counter and attack accordingly so he did a move where the counter would be a stab - bear in mind he plans on getting stabbed meaning he can try to let a non-vital area be wounded-at the same time he ensures when he stabs him that he is precise.

  • @killakaynyne Nice one.

  • @killakaynyne I was gonna say because Jin is so bad@ss but your answer is much more logical!

  • @killakaynyne For what its worth, thematically; Both characters made the point, no one is worth serving, which for a samurai means to die for. With that in mind, Kariya is a better fighter. However Jin played a card the other never would, a sacrifice. It didn't matter to Jin if he lived or not, he was willing to die for Fuu; its the arch of his character really, to find someone to give it all to. Hence why he beat Kariya in the end, as Jin fought outside Kariya's expectations of his character..

  • from 0:35 to the end it looks mad gay...lmao

  • @trashingfiend94 hahahha true

  • Bleach is swackin champloo jin kariya the bount and jin and kariya from champloo but still love bleach

  • This is why I like Samurai Champloo so much

if this was any other anime like DbZ or Naruto they sword swings would have lasted entire episodes with random flashbacks shoved in between

  • @vato4lif SOO TRUUE bleach does that all the time too, it gets really annoying and repetitive when they do that,

  • @vato4lif But fuck no. Not Champloo. Straight to fuckin' business.

  • @vato4lif champloo is truly a work of art DBZ or any other anime will stall out one energy attack or whatevs for 10 episodes or plug in a thousand episodes of filler because it makes them more money and they dont care about their fans. Champloo is pretty much pure from top to bottom which is just the icing on the cake of what is one of the best animes of all time.

  • @vato4lif OMG THANK YOU SOMEBODY ELSE UNDERSTANDS! YOU WERE sENT DOWN BY GOD. haha

  • @vato4lif dragonballz was just long because of the fights naruto was the flashbacks. but yeah i agree. lol

  • @1moblin and he died by the samurai u see in this video

  • @1moblin sunflower samurai is ill

  • whats that song called!!!?

  • Jin and Kariya sounds just like the warrior Jin Kariya from Bleach

  • jin looked sexy as hell in this fight XD

  • Nah not really the fights like this only lasted a second or two. They don't stop and talk. its draw, cut, kill or draw, cut, miss, and die. That's realistic,

  • @KJTheSamurai That's another reason I liked this series because the sword fight are more realistic. They last seconds.

  • @SuaveGemini I agree they don't get cut in half and keep fighting like bleach and all that crap.

  • This scene got me addicted to song and the last two episodes had on EDGE!! luv Samurai Champloo!

  • too short

  • @neck0000

Realistic isn't short. In terms of real life samurai battles which likely lasted 2-3 moves, this was insanely long. probably almost an hour from their senses point of view

  • This is like the most epic scene ever really.

Just everything is perfect; the build-up, the animation, music, just everything really.

  • Comment removed

  • This would have been even greater if it was the Japanese version.

  • @mobstamunz10 Not really

  • I love how Jin and Mugens respective final battles reflect their fighting style and personality.

I mean, Mugens fight with Umanosuke is destructive, fierce, and chaotic. There is no real tactic or finesse in their fight, it's just a plain brawl between the two. Jin and Kariya on the other hand, are all about skill. Their fight is short, elegant, and more of a "Samurai battle" in a matter of speaking. Personally, I liked Mugens final fight best, if only because it was longer and more destructive.

  • @dobadobadooo Both final fights were phenomenal but honestly I just have to go with Jin's fight.

  • @dobadobadooo Yes, and on top of that, they also learned how to fight in the opposite way of their styles as well.

Jin learned to take a risk and did something reckless in order to land an attack.

Mugen actually planned out his moves for once in order to kill Umanosuke.

Samurai Champloo is a really deep show when you think about it, that's why it's one of my favorites.

  • so is this the final battle?

im confused... evry1 says tht jin and mugen vs kariya is final battle...

  • @Darskul It is, this is last fight in the anime as far as I know of. Conisder Kariya the final boss in a way.

  • @Darskul It is the final battle/ final round ( Well if you exclude the clash of swords between Mugen and Jin)

Round 1: Jin and Mugen vs. Kariya (at the bay)

Round 2: Jin vs. Kariya (at the bay)

Final round: Jin vs. Kariya (on the island)

  • Got to respect a man who'll take a fatal blow just to get a shot at his opponent.

  • @warwatcher91 So you respect suicide bombers? Lol.

  • the badassery begins at 0:20

  • The song made me search the internet in a desperate attempt to find this song. Cause the song literally gave me a boner.

  • Clearly Jin is the better swordsman, because Kariya would of seen that coming.

  • to this day, i still cant say who had the better ending... S.C. or cowboy bebop... love the way the both of them ended...

  • @xXLeavesOfLifeXx No. No. No. I'm talking about the fight scene we're watching. 'That' OST.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • @Vaan362 Same Ol' Thing - Force of Nature

  • OOOOHHH SHIT!!! JIIIIIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anybody know the OST?

  • That was a stupid line.

  • What was the name of the song used in the fight?

  • @kewldude475 force of nature - same ol' thing

  • @TTigerZZZ Thank you my friend. Currently trying to find all the Champloo songs.

  • this song and this scene is never as good as the first time you see it

  • got this DVD and this has to be one of my favorite anime moments thus far

  • 0:41

.. And I jizzed in my pants ! lol

  • Force Of Nature's "Same Ol Thing" goes perfectly w/ this fight scene

  • The ultimate dedication to defeating your enemy.

  • THE MUST MANGA FOREVER ; ))

  • Is this the only time Jin actually used his Wakizashi?

  • @beardygoatttt actually this is the only time. Partly because he never faced anyone he couldn't beat. With all his other oponents, only his katana was needed.

  • @lupENDboy I agree with you, but for the sake of argument, bear with me. =p

My initial statement of it being his first time is still technically correct. Although first and only time would be a more proper way to propose the statement.

  • @beardygoatttt

I can't say I can seriously give a completley intelligent response to that.

I suppose that Jin weilds his Wakizashi for this ideal situation. But I am not sure he would use it again. Unless of course, a situation identical to this occured. As an example, it is possible than Jin was use his Wakizashi against a fighter like Mugen, due to the fact that he can't anticipate and react to his movements as well as he could to a samurai with the tradtional syle.

  • actually this is the only anime that i like watchin it in english, wait scratch that, this and cowboy bebop are the only ones i like watchin in english...but then again these are the only two anime shows i like.

  • Does anyone know the song thats playing while they fighting?

  • @Chthonian1X65 idk but i love it

  • samurai champloo is haard i miss it but all gd stuff has 2 end :(

  • thanks for uploading this im getting the dvd set pretty soon

  • lol this is funny, cause there is a bleach character named Jin Kariya.

  • I'll always wonder how he has that much hair in that small ponytail.

  • i thought the song was hikari for a second, but i think im wrong.

  • the Song is:Nujabes/Force of Nature - Same Ol' Thing

  • whats the song that starts playing wen the fight starts. plz msg me if u no. id appreciate it.

  • @ownagebutter a few choices it sounds like either a flying lotus, i think his name is little john or my favorite fucking artist Nujabes. bout it soulds like a Nujabes joint if i find out more ill let you know

  • @kzoney its a nujabes song for sure. im just not sure what its called.

  • @ownagebutter oh haaa its "Nujabes & Force of Nature~Same Ol' Thing" im sorry bro i should have told you that sooner but thats the song you can actually see it on youtube. i already have the song. but yea enjoy

  • wuts name if this song playn rite now?

  • hey guys i just fuck an Asian girl :D

  • force of nature, same ol thing.

    Gods music

  • owned

  • Yeah that song was sweet and I can't find it on the champloo soundtracks. I thought it would be by nujabes but its not. Somebody plz find out so I can download it my ipod.

  • Either Fat Jon or Force of Nature.

  • @masterkevyn Nujabes/Force of Nature - Same Ol' Thing

  • Does any one know the name of that theme playing in the backround while Jin and Kariya are fighting.

  • @curlybob217 Nujabes/Force of Nature - Same Ol' Thing

  • I don't got a clue what you guys are talking about, the English dub did a splendid job on Samurai Champloo. I'm not hating on the japanese version or anything, cause I have no problem with reading subs, but how can anyone complain when both dubs are just so darn good?

  • English definetly sounds outta place in a anime. Sounds so less dramatic when the characters talk. The majority of people that watches anime or play video games prefer japanese cuz it sounds awesome.

  • @masterkevyn

Don't say majority. I know for a fact that their are more people who prefer watching a show in the language they understand over foreign babble and subtitles. But the vocal minority will be vocal.

I mean, why do you think any anime that comes on TV is dubbed rather then subbed? Majority of games when brought West have an English dub as the defualt?

1 year old I know, but I had to say it.

  • I honestly dont find english dubbing very fitting for anime....maybe its cause i dont find it normal for asian based characters to be speaking english, or just that high voices in english doesnt sound normal

  • This is a REAL samurai fight. No fireballs, no flying and nice music.

  • for some reason english just doesnt sound right in anime...maybe cause most characters have more of an asian orientated look to them

  • Haha surprised there are a lot who hate the conformist view that japanese is always better. I remember I watch Cowboy Bebop in both English and Japanese. I got a big shock when I did. I like the english version a s**t load better than the japanese. Part of it was because of the voice actor that played Spike in the series (ironically the same voice actor that plays Mugen). So I don't judge until I actually see both and I mean really "see" both.

  • @0doublezero0 cowboy bebop was muuuuch better in english! youre right. the only reason i think samurai champloo is better in japanese is because its a very japanese programme; history, characters, country. But youre right you have to watch both before you judge.

  • i still cant get enough of samurai champloo after all these years

  • This anime is good in both English and Japanese :) It's my most loved anime too.

  • best fight in the whole anime <3

  • Awsum! And they didn't even have to charge up for 9 episodes

  • This was a to Live

  • One of the best anime fights. I hate it when the makers of Naruto and Bleach make battles 10+ damn episodes long and think that automaticly makes it on the epic list because it lasted 2 hours (10 episodes x 20 minutes each). This one is nice and short yet for that little amount of time you get the excitement of 2 hours.

  • japanese or english this shit is good fuckers!!

  • why do u non japanese speakers like this in japanese, u obviously love their language but come on u dont freakin understand it and ur reading subtitles

  • Real samurai duels were similar in time to this. They didn't last longer then a good 10 minutes but man you'd see some amazing shit in those few moments.

  • @ShinkuHokuto

no i think "real" samurai katana duels lasted just barely a few moves.

maybe a battle between 2 life-long masters might take, at most, 5 moves until it was all over.

then again this anime depicts samurais larger than life in skill and ability, but at least they didn't make the fights too unrealistically long

  • u stupid assless

  • i got the complete collection 70 bucks!!! yo!!!

    samurai spirit!!!

  • seriously people are pissing me off, "oooo watch it in japanese it's sooo much better" people if ya like it in japanese good for you, some of us like it in english we don't give a flying fu*k if ya think it's better

  • hey did u know that we don't give a shit? lol

  • @Miguel324 LMAO! I actually dont mind the english version myself. I hate the elitest view of japenese is always better myself.

Great uploads man, you got some damn great taste in animes.

  • @Miguel324 LMAO

  • @Miguel324 show some respect jerk ! -_^

  • @84singularity Sorry but cant respect the stupidity of others, Lawlzzzzzzzz -=(^-^)=-

  • @Miguel324 respect between people is a key element in the samurai way -_^ ...dumb ass

  • @84singularity Lol thats the samurai way, thank god for me, i was born a fat american ahaaaaa

  • @darkness1123 hey did u know it isnt better in japanese?

  • @darkness1123 Hey did you know if you ONLY speak english it SHOULD seem like the Japanese version is better because you dont detect flaws, ou read.

  • @darkness1123 no one cares a la verga si esta in english o jpanese a mi me gusta in english i got the box set ok!!

  • @Amenokuni1 lol i understood abit of that, but fuck ya i got the box set 2

  • @Miguel324 actually the comment was for the duck head saying he likes it in japanese lol XD

  • @Miguel324 XD HAHAHAHA!!!! este wuey! yeah i want to get the box set also!

  • @Miguel324 Lol i also have da box set.

  • @darkness1123 no its not... this is one of the only animes that sound better in english (Full Metal Alchemist is an anime that sounds better in English too)

  • lol, we don't care that you don't care

  • I'll just use 'We' like you do, you know as if I have others backing me or something like that

  • @Miguel324

Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop had good dub. Anythings better then Funamation dubs.

  • @Miguel324 you tell'em brother

  • @Miguel324 honestly i think the voices on the american version sounds WAAAAY better than the japanese voices....justsayen

  • @Miguel324 japanese is good, but the english dub is proper too. It's not like naruto's dub.

  • @Miguel324 do you like pie?

  • @lupENDboy actually i like chocolate pie, but thats just cause i like being fat lol

  • @Miguel324 lol, I just felt the need to spam. :)

  • @lupENDboy I dont blame ya, it seems fun at times. Which do you prefer more pie or cake?

  • @Miguel324 Psh, Cake, chocolate cake.

    :P

  • @lupENDboy Sry, but i'd have to go with pie. Just cause i know the cake is a lie

  • @Miguel324 finally!!!!! thank you for saying that

  • @Miguel324 ...This is ironically an anime I AVOIDED watching the Japanese version. **** weaboos.

  • Same Ole Thing - "Force of Nature II"

(for anybody that wants their albums)
