I just seen a 350 rancher on here with 29.5 laws! Now, that is a floater! lol, Bad looking but a hella hard handler I imagine! Probably beat ya to death! Mine would if I didn't have the unlocker on it!
I have the Honda foreman 450 s 4x4 with a jet kit installed and all that but anyways does yours die when water covers the motor? BC mine seems to do that quite often. Trying to get info on that.. the fourwheeler will start right up but I can't seem to find the problem..
No, I have had water over the motor to half the gas tank and just idling there for a while waiting for my cousin to climb the muddy embankment. I have had water over the motor quite a bit and never had any problems. Is your lid to the sump (air filter) on?
haha is that thing even trail legal its so wide have you ever thought of a clutch delay kit idk if you have any problems as is but with the huge tires i bet it would be helpful
I doubt that it is, I've never worried about that!
I don't have a clutch delay kit installed and have never thought about that either. I do have an unlocker on it and usually keep it in 2 wheel unless I am muddin', It accelerates and handles 10 x better when unlocked during normal driving.
I do have a brand new gear reduction I can install on it, I understand that helps tremendously! I just haven't gotten around to having it installed.
No, no problems so far! I have had them for years now, I bought them from "HighLifter" I believe! I'm not sure what kind or who makes them maybe HighLifter? They're aluminum.
I love it! Especially with the big tires I have on it it handles a lot better plus it has added more speed to the quad "in two wheel drive that is." I always drive it in 2 wheel until I need the 4 wheel traction. I highly recommend it for all quad owners who have the full time 4 wheel drive. It adds a huge difference, definitely worth the cash!! IMHO
exhaust, re-jet, K&N air filter with outerwear. Those are some quick ways to boost power and it's fairly cheap (depending on the exhaust you go with).
jeez!!! i bet that fucker is hard to turn in four-wheel-drive! i have 27 inch outlaws with 1 inch wheelspacers on all 4 corners...and it's hard to do a sharp turn in 4wd. and why is your front rack bent to hell?
Thank you! I've had it up to 45 mph. The thing is pretty heavy so that has some affect on the top speed.
I recently put in a different jet, K&N air filter plus outerwear and a HMF exhaust.
These add-ons made a HUGE improvement in launching this sucker!! I do have a gear reduction that I would like to install which would help pull those monster tires! I'll get around to it soon, I hope!
@grizzledcamudgen lol ur name is funny if i got it right is it grizzle-ca-mudgen? but yea.. u should make a video of u muddding on that beast :o ty =]
Well...I'm glad you like my name, I use it for everything! lol I will try and get some trail or mudding (weather permitting) video to throw on here. The name is pronounced as it looks my friend.
The Honda Foremans are excellent bikes, really dependable & durable, IMHO.
Thanks for your comments unfortunately I don't have any knowledge concerning the ES model (I've always preferred to be in more control of the performance rather than having it done for me.) That's not to say they are not worthy! Hey...it's a Honda! I have not looked at the tranny of those models up close but I'm assuming if he put a suicide on it then possibly it could have the foot switch. ???
dxcody2 you will just have to inspect it and see if it is possible to do so, sorry that I cannot be any help on this matter.
Please, let me know what you find out, regarding it working or not! I suggest maybe checking the "Highlifter" forum and see if you can find someone else with a similar issue.
In any case I hope you get the answer your looking for and if I come across anything regarding that, I will get back to you.
I'm not sure why I may of came across that way, I think I made this video after putting the exhaust on. I had a welded nut that broke off and gave me an issue trying to solve that problem. Hmmm...? haha
yea, i got vids of our four wheelers a polaris scrambler 4 stroke 500 H.O. 4x4, and it has vampires on it, and my kawasaki bayou 300 4x4, its being fixed right now, u should check out the vids if u can

@deerman99 a 450s means 450 shift. Those are the exact same thing as a 450 5 speed. You can shift it 5 times in your case.
