But in films they can't pull him off as totally indestructible, otherwise it defeats the object of a film. The only way to justify a fight between these two, is that it would be ever lasting. Neither would win, neither would lose. Unless Hulk where to lodge a huge piece of Kryptonite down Supermans throat.

But in films they can't pull him off as totally indestructible, otherwise it defeats the object of a film. The only way to justify a fight between these two, is that it would be ever lasting. Supe whooped DD many time in comics and in animation. In 1994 Superman Doomsday Hunter Prey #1 - #3. Supe took DD to the End of Time to finally end DD's life. Also see TV cartoon, Doomsday Sanction.

Yeah, okay, I'll give you that one, that was the only comic where Supes beat Doomsday, when he threw him to the edge of time.
The other times when they fought, they were all clones of Doomsday, made by Luthor, or S.T.A.R. Labs.
And in cartoons, the only time he was fully beaten, was in an episode of Justice League. And that was for little kids.

He was dead, not in like, some kind of suspended animation, fully dead.n
He absorbed solar energy through the Eradicator, thus reanimating him.
He's alive now, because that happened.

@whtukall IF wolverine, or rulk killed hulk, how are they still making new comics of him? that makes no sense at all. I dont remember ever hearing thor breaking anything of hulk. Thanos only did it with cheap magic. As for the three comics, Who exactly wrote them? If it was DC, or the original superman creators, well then no duh he'll win.

whtukall response: That's what comics is all about. They kill the character & revives them back. Hulk was killed many times & was revived back by Watches & writers. Thor was also killed by Thanos & Sentry & was revived back. Supe killed himself stopping Doomsday, & he resurrected himself. Captain America, Batman, Spider Man, Wolverine was also killed & was all revived back.
