The set-up, balance and driver ability are key. The Gobstopper has it all. I've seen a Mustang out-corner a GT-R R33 at Snetterton during a track day. The power of each was similiar but the Ford was set up better. A shorter gearset and stiffer dampers did the trick. Comparison is the point, anyone who says "My Chevy can screw that ricer" or visa-versa is an ignorant tit. The only thing that counts is the timing beam. The Gobstopper was/is a true legend in the tuner community, it always will be.
