Sam Lake is a writer. A true accomplished writer. The Only point is that cultural critics dont give crédits just because It's a video game.

I Heard on a press paper that Alan Wake And Max payne represented sth Like 2400 pages of writting just for The script & dialogue

i always remember one quote for this game, 'It was colder than a walking fridge cold as my gun' what a Classic game. Max Payne 1 was the best , Storyline, Game play and Dialogue.

I've played it on the pc and ps2 and completed it nearly 40 times (nope, not joking) and the aesir bonds monologue is in the bank robbery level, you have to open the vault thats across the one carrying the detonators.

BTW I've seen so many different looking people from Ireland and Scotland that I think Max would just about fit the description of any country which has caucasian people in general. So I'll just settle for Finnish-American... : )

i have played this on computer and on ps2 and beaten it at least 3 times. but this version of the graphic novel is slightly different than i ever heard, but very very close. loike i dont think aesir corp bonds were never mentioned in the graphic novel in either version i played.

Sam Lake is from Finland, that's who Max Payne is modeled after in the game, good writer though. I think Payne is a Scottish last name.

Frank Miller should have watched this, had an orgasm and made it into a better film than John Moore did... Still I think it's great simply left as a game franchise. Greed often corrupts art in my experience. I still find Max's "Nooooooo!" pretty funny :) I think the voice actor, James McCaffrey, forgot he was expressing his horror and despair upon discovering his fictional wife and baby dead and smeared in blood, not realising the New York Jets had lost a game...

I like a lot of action games,story is a big part for me, and else but really this graphic novel is one of the shittiest ones i ever seen on another thing i don't really know max payne true story but if it is a normal cop going bad because of revenge of her wife getting killed it's going to be kinda boring to me, when i saw the movie the point of twisting the story to a more fictional way made it interesting and more original.

not really... it doesn't follow the story of the game at all. Sure it's based around valkyr, but there is no italian mobsters, Puncinellos and Jack Lupino is freaking latino. It's watchable, but if you have played the game you're probably going to hate it

Worst game-to-movie film ever. And I usually like Mark Wahlberg. There's only 10 seconds of bullet time in the whole movie, and it's thrown in at a completely random spot. I'm glad I got it on torrent and didn't waste money on a cinema ticket.
