sounds like a stripped gear or chipped tooth, or what happend to my other truck, the mesh came out of the gears so it doesnt make a silent sound, it clicks, so idk
I have a stock micro DT and i landed a small jump on my second run where my two rear wheels hit the landing. Now it runs pretty loud and sometimes the motor turn but the rear wheels do not. I haven't bought the micro screwdriver to open up the transmition, but are thereany ideas what is happening? Please get back to me... :)
You probably just knocked the motor loose. Take off the black plastic piece that covers the pinion and spur gear and loosen the motor screws, correct the mesh, tighten the motor screws, and put the cover back on. Simple fix ;)
This is more than likely your spur or pinion gears that have worn out. This is also the noise of a tranny that needs to be replaced or a differential.try programing your esc with the programing card. :)
its the problem im just going through. either the pinion gear is bad or the spur gear is bad or like mine the transmission is broken beause on mine the spur gear would wobble back and forth and beconme disengaged when it is in reverse
I think its the same problem I had. The pinion gear is to loose from the spur gear. If this is the case it is an easy fix. Just take the transmision cap off (3 screws) then loosen both screws holding the motor and push the pinion gear into place so it gently meshes (not to tight or loose, if it doesnt coast normally it is to tight). Hope this works!
Its most likely your diff is blown. You should get a 3 racing transmission, or you will be rebuilding transmissions all the time with that brushless setup. :)
Well I think the grinding is in the tranny somewhere like the gearing is too loose, or the diff is blown, out or the gearing is correct at a stand still but the clutch shaft is worn out so it bends under acceleration. (the brass bushings is worn out) I think one of those solves your grinding problem, and for the forward only problem that is an esc issue. I think the esc is not programed right with the program card. :/ Hopefully this will solve your problem. :)
Make sure the motor is aligned rite with the spur

@xXShadowRejectsXx I think you are rite because the noise is probably the gear slipping and grinding etc.

i am 110% sure that it is something between the spur gear and the pinion. its happened to me b4
