I totally agree with all comments on Kathy's quickness in assuming the worst if Lance.
I would like to know what happened to the Reb and Yank- the last you see of them they're fighting! The Indians just ride off and leave them! I think they became best friends after this. :-)
Agree, great movie except for the reconciliation at the end. She cheated on him and then took it for granted he was a coward. I wouldn't have given her the time of day, as they say. Ward Bond was a little too much at the end also. Otherwise a good ensemble movie and plot.
@mvies77 Her turning on him seems a bit too quick and sudden. I guess the filmakers wanted Peck to appear isolated but they could have tuned her rejection down some.
This was a great movie. I don't think I saw it before. The only thing I didn't like was Gregory Peck forgiving Barbara Patton. If a woman won't even listen to the man she plans to marry explain his behavior and assumes the worst of him, before they are married, she certainly won't after they are married! He should have told her the relationship was over and looked for someone else.

I remember this movie in my childhood and I'm happy watching again.very realistic the blast at 1:32!
