@1337n0R when you added to render queue open settings down below from render settings or output module (don't have AE on hands now so don't remember which) and there you have little box down - audio render or something which need to be ticked.

@Putz4Ever it depends on how much ram your computer has . If you want to preview a small bit of a clip which is at the end but it doesn't preview till there then you just adjust the work area bar which Is the one directly above the work area . Shorten that and move it over the part you want to see :D Hope I helped dude :)

@Putz4Eva dude it depends on how long the clip is that you're previewing . It all depends on how much RAM your computer has If it has little then you will only see a small bit if it has a few gigs E.G 8 or above then it will do more and faster after all the button is called ram preview because it uses ram to preview in real time as a pose to pressing play or the space bar which will just give you a preview ! Hope I helped :)

@trickyricky98 Do this. Import your video, drag it down to the Timeline, click it once. Hit Ctrl+3 if you don't have Ram Preview window Enabled already. Go over to the Play button on the right just like he said and click it 2 times. Once will not work, it just plays it. You should have sound, remember to click it 2 times each time you want to hear the sound. He has a different version than me (CS4) I don't get a timeline at the bottom it just plays the sound for me no T.L he might have CS3 or 5.

@acecrumpet the reason why they don't add audio when you just click play in the time line is because that takes up memory and will slow down the program, aftereffects is primarily meant to be used for video affects and so you can see how well they run, not necessarily audio

So, this would lead the the less eduacted to believe that there was a problem with the file format etc...This, is just a representation of the many problems that adobe software has in general...after effects has many flaws, but Adobe soundbooth...trash

Not "retarded". Rendering sound takes a lot of memory. That, *plus* the video and the effects you want to add, you'll eventually find it necessary to go mute if you're primary focus is adding in effects or editing the visuals -- so your computer won't slow down like f*ck as you do. ;)

@NazKamel you need to make the composition the same legnth of the song, got to composition at the top and then go onto composition settings and change the legnth to however long your song is. hope this helped

@jezsk8ter i had the same problem . . i was messing around with it today and i figured it out. . . after you ramp it or whatever you wanna do to it, click the composition tab at the top of the screen and click save RAM preview . . if your trying to make like a skate video just put it into movie maker or something after its edited. . you have to do it 1 clip at a time though.

@42Gummy42 I had this problem as well. if your using a song from itunes it will create a really fast high pitched noise, if you convert it to a wav or just a regular mp3 it should be all good!
