Yeah, this is actually pretty damn good. It keeps the emotional resonance of the original that other covers (like that bland Dashboard Confessional one) lack.

I like that you kept the going up a note part in that last 'When I was down'-part, which the Weezer original didn't have, but the Weezer acoustic version did (which, by the way, is one of the best versions of any song, by any band, ever, acoustic or otherwise).

Methinks you did Weezer proud.
