L'articulation à la francese fantastique, sans faute technique de l'école Kuijken. Doublure avec les flûtes géniale. Malheureusement op.8 n'est plus sur le marché CD en cette qualité. Dommage que Nearness n'a pas mis les mouvements restants. Merci
The pitch might not have been A415 when this piece was published (1737) but it surely wasn't A392 anymore (from second half of the 17th c. there are even lower than A392 recorded in France). The only place the pitch stayed low was at the Opéra, to facilitate the performance of Lully's works (written high especially for soprano and tenor roles) which stayed in the repertoire for numerous decades after his death (1687). By 1737 even at the Opéra the pitch was probably around A400.
Yes but there is still a big difference between 415 and 400! Especially if you're playing the flute...The model of the flute copied here looks as though it may be anachronistic for the period of the compositions, too.
One of the best chamber music performances I have ever seen. Sophie, you are one of the most truly inspiring baroque musicians in the world. Thank you!
Super! Microvariations of everything are so natural!!!

The difference between A 415 and 440 is not a difficulty. It is an impossability.
