Thank you, you explained the most about this one plug in then any other person. for 1 I was thinking it was a play button or something with in Melodyne. How to make it just play and get the notes to move...................... you made the sample stuff very clear..... Thanks you very much.
seriously this guy has great ideas on music. he dares a lot. he should get more craftmanship in music but i like where he's heading to....musically speaking
holy shit. I am literally going into the studio now to try this out. I didn't realise you could control vibrato like that. Technology continues to amaze me
Hey man! GREAT tutorial! Listen to Johan Wedel & Deniz Koyu's remiz of Dangerous. How do they do that with the acapella? please send me a message! Cheers!
@itsamaglex I'd sy use Melodyne on your recorded vocals, Save it as a .WAV file, Re-import it to your Program as a .WAV file, Then put the effects on the recorded .WAV Vocals.
when you made the women sing like a turrent, i instantly faved and liked over 9000 times...maybe i'll download melodyne someday dor demo reel purposes and other voice-acting related stuff like that...anyways,thanks for the tutorial.
great tutorial. very quick, to the point and doesn't repeat material (i don't know why more people don't realize you can rewind a video to repeat something).
Is there a difference between bouncing the track edited with Melodyne or exporting it as a region which also takes with it the edited version? To export is much faster than bouncing, but I don't know if it is the same or not.
Just a question... If I want to move the audio and keep melodyne instead of "bouncing" (rendering/exporting) it, I can just move the notes on Melodyne, right? It's easier and you can then continue editing the notes in Melodyne.
hey - first off, so sorry if this has been asked before. ok:
how would I go about melodyne-ing a vocal that is triple tracked? The vocalist I am recording always doubles or triples his vocals - so we end up with three tracks of essentially the same line, layered on top of one another to sound "full"
Would you maybe only melodyne the "lead" vocal of the three? Or bounce them into one audio file and melodyne that? Or would you melodyne each indivudually?
Just wanted to say thanks for putting this up. I'm mixing a live music project now in Logic, and am working with vocal overdubs. I just bought the plug-in and now I'm flying - thanks to this video. Thanks again!
err... im a bit new to stuff like this but there is some free software to use in-game on online games like teamfortress 2, css, l4d and some others and it changes the pitch of your in-game voice but i cant remember the name of it any help plz?
You don't need to bounce the track at all if you need to move it after you've applied Melodyne. Simply select all of your notes in Melodyne itself after you've moved your track, and match up the start of the first sound with where you moved the original to. Much easier, and allows you to continue working your source material.
Did you happen to get the new Direct Note Access feature for melodyne? I wanna see how good it works, especially for like distorted guitar, if it even works.
Hey man great video. One question tho....i need to get a new program cuz right now im using fl studio and i really need to upgrade. so my question is will my vst'z work in logic (or atleast some of them)
no, unfortunately logic doesn't support vst's, but there are programs that convert vst's to au's, although it's not 100% perfected - i couldn't get many to work. there are, however, comparable au plugins to most vst plugins you can find
@lildmoneymusic oooh yeah ha i knew that, my mind just blanked. ya you can insert autotune (called Pitch Correction in logic) anywhere - then u can use automation to bypass it at specific parts if you only want it for certain words. check my autotune tutorial out
Is there any easier way to make harmonies than to just duplicate the track and manually move the second track to a harmony line? I know Melodyne Studio will let you automatically duplicate your vocal in the Melodyne window and make harmonies that way, but I don't think the plug-in can do it...
@RobBroad4th u could put a vocal transformer plugin on the track, set the mix to 75%, and it will create a copy of your voice in a different pitch, but i would just use melodyne since you have control over each note
ha send me the link when you're done. PS make sure you have the melodyne plugin above autotune in the channel strip. also make sure all the other plugins (especially pitch correction/autotune) are bypassed before you click Transfer in melodyne. you can unbypass them as soon as the audio is transferred to melo
