In German laid off workers have there wages subsidized by the government which allows them to stay at their place of employment. Retirement is 100% covered by the government. Healthcare is 100% covered by the government. Child care is 100% covered by the government.... call it what you want

If someone is poor they should do the same for their children and stay active in the kid's education.
