@taxi911 I don't think the dens are big enough for them to walk around in & go into a deep sleep it may be differ form bear to bear types. I have seen where cub have been taken from the den & micro chipped & replaced into the den with the mother still asleep this was done in a Mountain area & not in the Arctic snow. Why don't you google the subject :- like how deep is the sleep bears go into when they hibernate or something like this.

After bans on hunting them for their beautiful fur, the ursus maritimus (polar bear) is 20,000-25,000 strong and still growing!! According to the IPCC, it would cost 4 trillion dollars to lower carbon emissions by around 1%. And even if you lowered it 1%, that would change absolutely nothing, except maybe a 1% decrease in algae. If your really passionate, do some research =) I never blindly believe anything until i check ALL sides of the argument =)

I watch this video over & over. The mother and her adorable little cubbies are such a joy to see and hear! I love to see the mother tobogganing down the hill and rolling around so happily, then cuddling with her youngsters. This shows the true mother instinct and love that polar bears have for their offspring. The den she has created for them is truly wondrous. Polar bears are a miracle of nature created by a Higher Power. We must respect them and preserve their habitats!
