I remember back in 2009 I was landing at night at Denver in a Southwest 737 after a storm passed and out the right side of the plane lightning was still visible.

The captain in a typical Southwest fashion described it as a light show iirc.

Looks like either a Sony VX2000 Mini DV or Canon XH-A1 HDV with image stabilization was used. But before you go running off to get one, note they are pricey at over 3 grand each. Simon says they are among those he uses for his video photography.
