Garuda was a nonhuman entity made from all the souls gone mad from the satsui no hado. Akuma embraced the satsui no hado, he MASTERED it. Thats where Shin Akuma comes into play. He is more powerful than Garuda. Garuda is/would be better and more powerful than Evil ryu. But shin akuma/gouki is the strongest of em all. I wish they wouldve put garuda in ssf4 tho. I always thought it be AWESOME if Garuda's storyline was that he was sent to bring akuma back to hell, but fails cuz akuma is stronger.

@wolfman596 bullshit Kairi didnt kill akuma, Akuma dissapeared because Garuda was too strong (Garuda is the embodiment of all the souls kill by the Raging Demon, Anyone using the Dark Hadou or Satsui No Hadou (jap translation) is pretty much fucked because he gets strong every minute)

When Akuma defeated Kairi he did not have his Setsu no Hadou. He lost his mind after the fight with Gouki and after that became SFEX2 Kairi. And you cannot compare one fight to another, Imagine Gouki as fire, Kairi as lightning and Garuda as water, get what i mean?

In time order Alpha comes first, Ryu joined the Tournament and on his return he found out that his master and adoptive father Gouken was "killed" by Gouki, and he found out about his Setsu no Hadou. Ken and Ryu had a sparing fight which Ken won and Ken felt that Ryu was holding back so he gave Ryu his Red Bandana to always remember thier promise. After the plot of Alpha, Alpha EX takes place. Next is Street fighter 2, 3 and 4, and in 4 Gouken returns and sealed Ryus Setsu no Hadou.

Makes sense, since it was in Street Fighter Alpha 2 he learned about his Setsu No Hadou from Gouki. I just didn't realize EX was a continuation of the series before Street Fighter II. That's crazy. Thanks for the insight on that one. I can't wait for Street Fighter V

From SF wikia Capcom did not include the EX series in the story. Shame because if they did then that would make Garuda the strongest character in the SF Universe even far more so than Oro and Gill. So none of the characters involvement in EX series had took place.

Garuda can never be the Strongest. He gains power from the Setsu no Hadou of his opponent, that is why he defeated Gouki.

only hokuto had the ability to free his mind, unfoutunatley she went evil as well. Now only Nanase is the only one who can save them both. But in my oppinion, Evil Kairi is much more powerful. And his raging demon was the best!

Garuda is stronger than any follower of Satsui no Hado, so Akuma is a shit compared to him and its true. In the story, Akuma lose to Garuda. Akuma was about to kill Kairi and Garuda appearad and beat him, Akuma was forced to flee. Garuda came for the ''light force of Kairi'' but think it was Akuma who have the ''light power''. Garuda find Bison but his technik stronger Bison LOL, so he flee.
