And no question,,the fact that they provide owners with 5 year 100,000 km. warranty which happens to be the best in the auto business speaks volumes for the quality of their products.

Certainly they had a poor reputation initially but those days are history,,they build great cars, beautifully finished,,top value for your $.

they are redesinging the body in 2012 i read, and adding 33 more HP with a motor update to the V6. I think the 2.0t could use a upgrade, 210HP is a bit wimpy, the mazda speed3 has like 270 turbo

i actually like the current gen coupe body. And the interior is way nicer than camaro and mustang..which are both nice cars also.

I'm looking for my first car(15y/o), and despite my Hyundaiphob, I went and took a look at this car (w/mom). I LOVED IT, honetly it looked soo sexxy in the gray. The one I looked at was the 2.0T, gray, with premiumpkg and auto. Honestly though, I got in the back seat, and couldnt sit up straight, and I'm only 5'9. It honestly was a real deal breaker because it cant compete with any other coupe on the market, even the Eclipse I looked at was rommier.

I co-op at a Hyundai dealership and hear a lot of complaints from the mechanics because it has just a ton of small issues people keep coming in for. My thoughts is because it's a first generation sports coupe (RWD) from Hyundai so they're not perfect yet. Hopefully they'll fix everything for second generation and get it then :)

No matter the engine, buzzy engine sound is unpleasant. That was his point. Hyundai's 2.4L isn't as buzzy. That's what I have in my Optima. Much smoother sounding. The 2.0 turbo is a Mitsubishi motor.

Wrong its a Hyundai motor developed by Hyundai, used by Mitsubishi to test it out in their cars, and then when the kinks were worked out of the finished product, Hyundai uses it.

Mitsubishi was Hyundai/KIAs Guinea Pig up until last year, when GEMA ceased to function.

@palebeachbum There is no engine made by Mitsubishi in the Hyundai line up. All engines in all new Hyundai models are 100% designed and made by Hyundai. Actually Mitsubishi requested assistance from Hyundai to make the engine block and some engine parts for the Evo X. Google it!.

And about if the engine is buzzy or not, well, as far as I know, when you buy a BMW Z4, you can pay to make your car "buzzy" if you like to hear the engine noise while driving. I see no problem with it on the Gen Coupe

Mercedes-benz has helped hyundai with their engine's especially on the equus, which you probably wouldn't know about because you don't live in Korea. ^^ just trying to correct some false information. They will try to sell the Equus in the states soon but I think that wouldn't help Hyundai in sales.
