But Amy Lee, Tarja and... all the female singers has DIFFERENT voices( HER Masters' Voice), and it depends only on GOD's will: this one gets opera-throat, that one a thin(soprano) rock, the other some DoroPetsch-like . WE love all rock and metal lady-singers! And don't forget: there are the so-called opera-bands like THERION ...

Amy Lee's voice is dynamic, Tarja's voice is classic and esteemed, and Sharon is a contemporary interpretation of the genesis of the Gothic sensibility. I reccomend you find the song, The Darkest Winter by Sonata Nocturna. Sonata Nocturna is a Symphonic Doom/ Gothic Metal band that hails from Spain.

Honestly, I don't get this "____ is so much better than ____ you idiots" mentality that fans of an artist always take on. Personally, I love Evanescence, but I also really like WT. I also like Nightwish. And in the end, it's all subjective anyway. You don't like it, it's not for you.
