I missed the part where Link, Zelda, Harkinian, Creepy Shop Man, Bloated Harlot, Frozen Wench, Yoshi, and Luigi were Irish. The CD-i characters are elves. Yoshi is a dinosaur. Luigi is Italian. If anything, this video is a comment on how people of non-Irish nationalities perpetuate the drunken Irish stereotype by drinking off the rocker on St Patrick's day, which in Ireland is a celebration of the missionary work of their patron saint, where in America, non-Irish have a reason to get wasted
