  • awesome ...

    RIP

  • awesome

  • that was so fucking awesome

  • I remember listening to this song driving up to Aberdeen to see who is now my ex-wife. Was amazed then, and even more so now, at this song. The words, and the singer of course, say it all.

  • FOREVER FREDDIE

  • My GOD. Musicians nowadays just can't compare. This is absolutely incredible...

  • was this at the superbowl..? :/

  • @brianmay1993 I am afraid it was at the Milton Keynes Bowl, in the UK. Nothing to do with the superbowl. Cheers.

  • Been a fan of Queen since 1974 saw them in concert 3 times .I want to use this forum to say thank you, Farrokh Bulsara, Brian May John Deacon and Roger Taylor. Freddie a beautiful, amazingly talented man who was soo incrediably sexy. You were not done, death took you too soon. I will always be sad wondering what else you had in store..Queen would be still together in some way to this day..through the years every new album blew me away. 4 Brilliant men who spoke through their music Freddie RIP

  • @helga284 ur so lucky to actually saw them play live and were u there at the Milton Keynes Bowl

  • @kyankees55 I was lucky they were amazing I saw them in '77 and '78 at MSG in NYC and the last time was the meadowlands in NJ best live shows I ever saw!!

  • @helga284 WOW man i know everyone says it but i wish i could back in time and see them play live !!!

  • @kyankees55 yes I was one lucky girl! living so close to NYC we were able to get really good seats! Freddie Mercury was the best front man ever! and Brian May's guitar solos were killer ..combine them with John Deacon on bass and Roger Taylor on drums it was a perfect storm of pure talent of all the bands I saw they were hands dowm the best!

  • @helga284 in my opinion i think they are the best rock band ever !

  • @kyankees55 ..I agree 100% they were just brilliant, the first song I ever heard was Liar and from the first note I knew they were something special. There will never ba another band with the amount of pure talent demonstrated by these 4 men.

  • Его голос, как наркотик. невозможно оторваться...

  • to the clown who thinks Led Zepp was better than Queen...how many Zepp songs are played in EVERY sports stadium in the world? none, thats how many

  • @xrepentance haha, that's so fucking true! well done, fuck you clown!!!!!!

un mensajito: Revisá CLAUDIdoscopio (suiveurs) !

  • God that guy could belt it out! Fuckin greatest band of my childhood!

  • Amo esta canción.. Amo a Queen.. mis idolos de toda la vida <3

  • Who´s on the keys?

  • @VelvetViolator

Brian of course. Take a look at Montreal's gig. Freddy says 'Brian's going play piano in a minute when he get's to it'. How talented they are! Each of them.

  • @t3hnuboi That´s not correct. Don´t you hear the keys while Brian is on the guitar and Freddie´s singing?

    It was Morgan Fisher !!

  • @VelvetViolator

Well, thanks) Actually I did not pay attention to that before you said about it. And yes, it's Morgan Fisher. Freddy introduces him later to the audience before playing a 'wonderful intro' of Crazy little thing called Love. And it's also titled on the DVD.

  • By the way many other interesting things about this concert can be found on wikipedia.

ich liebe ihn und das lied und ich hasse es das er tot ist.

  • 1:16 is eargasmic. I can't stop looking at Freddie and John's bums lol.

  • Without a doubt , the greatest singing voice in the history of Rock & Roll. Nobody else is even close!

  • I Love His Voice At 3:36!

  • Omg I always love John Deacon's little 2 step (1:30)!!!

  • is the best.....freddy is the best singer all time...

  • yeah..it's true..d best singer ever..

  • Simply beautiful...Freddie I love you till I die...

  • a beautiful song....tears in my eyes..

  • If the Montreal version is regarded as his best ever vocal performance, then this is simply beyond words. Ive always loved Freddie's voice. Also Russell Hitchcock from Air supply.

  • Oh how I love this song!!! Amazing song, amazing voice! Just perfect!

  • Thinking of you this 11/24. r.i.p. we love you! You will always be the best..

  • A true gift from God. Live on Freddie.

  • 3:37 - Nice B4 from Fred.

  • brian may looks like isaac newton lol

  • yeah. yesterday till tomorrow.

  • He sure does doenst he? Hell of a gutarist though. Very distinct playing style. Simply love the way he runs through the octaves.

  • a soul for sale or rent

i have no heart, i'm cold inside

i'm naked and i'm far from home.......

this is one of the most pain-filled song i have ever heard and Freddie's heart felt plea rips my heart out.......

  • Brian wrote this song though

  • Right, i was referring to the delivery....one of the many amazing things about Freddie is that he could take a song written by any of the four of them and it always sounded like it came from his own heart and soul!

  • What a voice!!!! OMG!!!!!

    FREDDIE IS SO AWESOMELY AMAZING!!!!!!

    I just LOVE him!!!!

    QUEEN.....WOW!!! They are so spectacular!!!

Freddie's voice, live or in the studio....unmatchable! Now, then, or ever!!!

  • shudders!!

  • The ultimate stage presence

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY FREDDIE...you will always be the best!!! R.I.P.

  • OMG, Queen is like musical crack cocaine without all the negative side effects!!!!

  • @billybobmacguyver The greatest front man ever xxx

  • Freddie Mercury is the best example to diference a clown of a musician. NOW there is too much clowns at the stage and too little musicians as Freddie Mercury.

  • @billybobmacguyver the only side effect is that i spend hours and hours listening not realising the world going past me

  • Amazing vocals for sure and to sledge999 robert plant was a truly great singer but imo freddie had something in his voice noone else has ever seem to come close to a true legend!

  • his voice is just unbelievable.

    I love you forever, Freddie

  • haha its amazing that sledgde 999 even think that robert plant even comes close to freddies vocals! even plant has said that himself, maybe led z are a bigger band but no one can touch Freddies vocals haha

  • Don't listen to him, hes a Spammer, I had some trouble with him a while back.

  • Sledge was a fag who is now blocked. He was a 45 year old single virgin who couldn't handle the fact that Queen had sold 100 million more records than Led Zeppelin.

  • this is a really C5

  • I don't think we could ever find another human being that could give us goosebumps singing such a beautiful, sweet and strong history and a couple of minutes later rise everyone from their seats screaming their hearts out with something as powerful as Tie your mother down... "no man can be [his] equal". We DO miss you, Mr. Bulsara

  • i agreeee.. look up Music in the dictionary and all you should see next to it is Queen

  • Simply perfect. I guess Elvis and John would admire that effort as well

  • Sweet, dear Freddie is singing the words I am living right now!!!!

  • man, he sings so good!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The best singer everrrrrrr

  • i've never seen Freddie in a better shape live, ever.

  • So true... I think Freddie 82-84 were his finest years in term of live performance.

  • Have you heard Freddie on Hammersmith Odeon 79? It's fucking incredible.

  • MUSIC = QUEEN

  • this is the TRUE!

  • I love how everyone yells Freddie. I so wish I couldve gone to see him but he died before I was even born. He is forever one of the greatest singers in the history of music. And gawd he is soo beautiful!

  • Its simply amazing how Freddie Mercury could go onto a stage and sing the song almost exactly like the studio version, his voice was that excellent.

  • @feiscool ??? this is better than studio version :P

  • amazing band, amazing voice, freddie mercury the king

  • Brilliant live performance!!!

  • 3:27 to 3:39

  • The begining, my love story :(

they say we made a perfect pair...

    so f*cking sad!

  • yes, it was mine too

  • You´re right this guy could have sung anything and it would have sounded great.

More than 25 years later he still gives me goose bumps. What an aura.

Freddie I still love you. I especially love the "Freak out" at 2:36.

It´s a shame we´ve lost one of the singers who could sing better live than on CD.

Only the good die young... Freddie you´re in my heart forever.

  • that was beautiful... makes me cry :')

Freddie is at the heart of us all, fans of Queen

  • They easily put every other band to shame.

  • Amen to that brother. No other band like them, then and forever!

  • Good point.

  • Freddie could have made a Soulja Boy song sound like a masterpiece. Actually, Freddie rapping is an interesting thought.

  • "Another One Bites the Dust" was the first song by a white band to be played on a black radio station. So basically it is the closest thing to Rap that Queen has, and it could possibly be the founding song for Rap. Dragon attack is semi-rap. :P

  • Don't say that, please don't fucking mention rap and Queen, Another One Bites the Dust is a funk song, nothing to do with horrible rap music.

  • I didn't make it up... look it up. I own just about everything from Queen, and I own a video or two that mention it... I know it sucks, but it's the truth. Think of it positively, it's just another reason why Queen is next to God. They are inspirations to everyone!

  • His voice is like no other. He was truly blessed and I listen to Queen everyday. It's a drug for me as well and Freddie's voice and Queen's music get me through those tough times. They are a gift for sure.

  • Amen to that. It's just like the album... Incredible...

  • Legends never die!

  • Comment removed

  • just love it

  • Even with higher notes, Freddie always had a really strong vocal. Amazing!

    Kev

    The Mojitos

  • Freddie The Great Mercury and Queen

  • who cares the lyrics? mercury can make when he was alive that a depressive song be a beautiful and full of happiness.apart it has a special way to move in the stage, you never saw it at wembley?.ah and HE IS NOT A MEDIOCRE.if you are so special try to be a singer then you can speak

  • One thing about freddy, and i haven't been into queen for a few years now, was that his voice was so "warm" to listen to. Its like chocolate!!!

  • Yeah!

I always looked for a word to describe his voice, and that's exactly how it is!!

He could be singing the worst song in the world, and he could make it sound amazing.

  • yeah well freddies gorgeous :D:D x

  • For all new small stars and starlets look how KING OF ROCK sings and act on stage and learn !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sledge999

    Plz...

The beatles only are Letters. The sound of The Beatles was simple... empty... easy.

THE BEATLES = THE ROLLING STONES.

    but respect John Lennon.

Queen have good and bad letters. But the sound is unique, is magic, perfect and beatufil.

    QUEEN = ¿? I HAVE NO WORDS

  • Wow! What an amazing performance and voice. No one comes close to Freddie. There's Freddie, then there's Elvis, then there's the rest!

  • and also if you think freddie cant sing live?just look at this video!plant could not do this even in a studio!!

  • you can say what you want about queen and led zeppelin!but when it comes to freddies and roberts singing it is a fact that Freddie had a bigger range than robert, more power and more versatile.and im a fan of both bands:)

  • not doubt about this

  • Quem é a melhor banda de todos os tempos e Freddie Mercury o maior vocalista!!! Mais talentoso, mais envolvente, mais dinâmico, mais autêntico,mais,mais,mais...I love you Freddie forever!!!!!

  • i love freddie

  • Slegde I see u on all Queens youtube vids, harping bout Zeppelin.... get a life son o_O

  • and to sledge999 and to all, you know what would come if i typed Led Zeppelin amazing performance? absolutely nothing but maybe some douchebags covering their crap playing their instruments, not the same story if i typed say Queen amazing performance, robert plant has nothing to the showmanship/vocals that freddie mercury has

  • how he sings always gives me goosebumps.

  • Simplemente perfecto!!!!!!!.......

  • That was why this is my favorite singer. One of the most amazing live performances ever. Only a few singers, like Steve Perry and John Farnham, can sing this good live.

  • that may be true, i dont know, but freddie sure had a good voice.

  • Let me guess. An American in his fifties that has been stucked into his too tight jeans, the seventies and slogans like: zeppelin is the greatest rock band on earth? I like Zep too but there is more in life than Plant and his weed inspired lyrics, macho king!

  • Well, we're doing our best darling!

ps: did you know that Roger Taylor introduced led zep to the RnR Hall of Fame? Seems that remaining band members had more admiration than you do...

  • Freddie, your voice works wonders on me

  • fantastic

  • a class act.

  • Freddie love you 'til i die <3

    What a performance!

  • Comment removed

  • Then why even bother looking at this video? oO

To me, this is one hell of a good song...it seems like live versions are so much better because of his voice!

  • you dude, if he has nothing to do with rock music, so tell me, who else has to do with it anyway? Freddie was definitely the best one among all of them. pity for you that you are unable to understand it

  • Are you trying to say THIS isnt rock? dickinson and coverdale are pretenders. Plant is worn out and has been since before 'the song remains the same'. Paul Rodgers is damned good but he cannot cover for Freddie. You judge Queen on the hits and thats all. Its a sad mistake made by many people.

  • freddie mercury wrote, sung and performed one of the first "metal/rock" songs and pioneered the genre, the one bruce dickinson sings it, robert plant is worn out

what was voted best rock performance of all time? QUEEN's live aid performance, best band of the 80s, many of their songs are even ANTHEMS to most and the fans know all the other great songs, all other bands/singers do not compare to Queen/Freddie Mercury, no other performer tops him

  • and to that, it was Stone Cold Crazy** the song above

  • You're right. Led Zeppelin is no party to Queen!

  • Led Zeppelin vs....queen??

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHRR!!

  • sledge999, how can you speak this way of Queen? You know you're just being provocative...

Queen rules, no matter if Zeppelin is your best or if you don't like... and you know that!

You also can't say Freddie was not one of the best voice of rock and roll... it'd means your ears are broken.

Million people may not have been mistaken for 40 years... If Freddie was a gimmick merchant, we would not be arguing about who were the best today :)

  • Ridiculous comparison isn't it? A band who wrote some of the most memorable, instantly recognisable songs of all time, sung by the greatest rock singer of all time, versus shitty Led Zeppelin and their overlong, directionless jamming? I don't blame you for laughing.

  • Hilarious! How amusing to see the little Queen fans weeping and wailing!! Mercury was a pantomime dame with a ridiculous put on voice who couldn't sing live and who wore silly costumes and pranced around! Plant changed music for all the queens and other wannabes to follow! HILARIOUS LITTLE QUEENIES!! LOL

  • Pantomine dame? Of course he was - that's why we all love him. Put on? Nah, don't get that. Couldn't sing live? He sure turned in his fair share of lackluster performances due to his throat problems, but Christ, a Plant fan saying someone else can't sing live? He could sing for about five years, period. Watch him at the Freddie tribute concert - downright embarrassing (also, why did he appear there if Queen suck so much?). Freddie is widely regarded as one of the greatest live singers in music.

  • In his prime, Plant was the best ever. In their prime - Zeppelin actually owned the known universe. Queen are not in that league! Not by a loooong way! Sorry ignoramus!

  • They owned the known universe? No. If one band ever done that, it was The Beatles. No other outfit in history has reached sales of one billion records.

  • that's why Plant is not able to sing freddie's material...isn't it?

    Come on...think before speak...

Every good singer is able to sing Zeppelin songs...few few people in the world can sing correctly queen songs.

Besides Plant has never done something different thatn rock...

Freddie surfes from Rock to funky, to OPERA etc...

  • I'm laughing so hard, I can hardly breathe! So many ignorant morons on one message board!! Queen is on every Karaoke in Britain! I want to break free. PFFFFFT! Sorry drooler! The world has already made its mind up on the best rock band and singer in history! You lose!

  • De Gustibus...

But Freddie's vocal range was the best in Rock Music.

    That's not a taste point...that's scientific/objective consideration.

  • he cant sing live

that's why queen's concert at live aid is voted as the best live performance ever....

im a huge fan of led to....

but freddie is the better singer

  • sledge, robert plant did nothing but sing BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I ROCK N ROLLED or turned down the voice, he has no range he is no performer

atleast to Freddie Mercury, get a clue LZ is no match to the godliness that is Queen

and if LZ was so good, how come queen tops all record sales etc worldwide and england etc, even over the BEATLES and ELVIS, and of course LZ cus their shitcock compared to Queen

  • "Invented rock vocals" eh? What a total moron. You know nothing of the history of rock, clearly. That said, there are a thousand singers who sound like Plant. A great singer is one who is inimitable. Freddie Mercury is just that. Plus, let's face it, Queen's songs are head and shoulders above Zeppelin's shitty jams. Zeppelin don't have a single song which is ingrained in the minds of the public - I've never heard them at a party, wedding or anywhere.

  • amazing song !

made tears in my eyes :')

    love Queen forever !

  • Such a moving version, love it

  • How could you dare to say something like that sledge! You suck, Freddie is the best.

  • Quite simply amazing... complete vocal perfection... What a performance. What a loss! Long live the legend that is Freddie Mercury!!!

  • I just love you freddie

  • Lets sing these songs better if you have problems with Freddie's live performances...asshole:@

  • is brian playing the piano

  • His voice is just so beautigful for this whole concert what a treasure
