I like this pedal. Don't you think it'd be pointless if it sounded JUST like the regular small clone. The Polychorus doesn't sound like the small clone and vise versa. EHX makes some great pedals.<3

Sounds pretty decent to me. Perhaps the volume drop people speak of is from improperly daisey-chaining this pedal? It's reverse polarity means it needs its own power supply and can't be daisey-chained.

@joab302016 it better in fx loops rather than straigh into the input plus usually is better with power pack =] really good for the price not so good with distortion.IMO.

Don't buy this people, it has a pretty noticeable volume drop, trust me! The effect itself was very nice, but the vol drop fucked up everything.

When the effect is on, it hisses really bad. It also sucks your tone. Very noticeable drop in your volume

its all about the guitar you use if you use a fender strat this pedal will sound awesome (to me) but if you use a gibson (flying v,les paul,explorer whatever) it will sound with low gain.

I don't like to bash pedals, but this thing really does blow. I bought one used for 20 bucks, and I feel like i overpaid. Even in this demo you can hear the volume drop. This thing is also really noisy. And it cannot be daisy chained!

This is useless. I bought it despite all bad reviews. It's cheap, but the small clone isn't that much more expensive. If you want to add chorus to your overdrive/distortion sound, then forget this one. It totally ruins the tone and also lowers the volume quite a bit.

If your going to get this you might as well get a small clone, or you can skip altogether and get a great chorus pedal for the price, the Ibanez 9 series chorus. Andy summers used a BC9 i believe. and to the kid knocking old stuff. Kurt Cobain used a small clone chorus, and i doubt their is a musician you listen to who wasn't influenced by Nirvana.

I had one and it was very noisy when turned on. Also, the overall volume droped when the pedal wasengaged. I tried to get a good sound out of it for a while and ended up selling it. Save up for the small clone instead.

Flange isn't really 'chorus at a slow rate' more like "chorus is flange at a limited sweep and depth' They're both modulated time-based FX - generally. Although there are "chorus" FX out there that are amplitude/pitch based, more like a phase shifter

I had one and you are correct, they are very noisy if you use any type of overdrive or distortion. To top it off the circuit board burned out after a month using the correct power adapter from Electro Harmonix. This pedal was truly a disappointment, they make so many great pedals not to mention the regular Small Clone is fantastic. I was just do surprised that this one was so bad.
