Would I still be detained, or turned back on 'suspicion' of something I had no control over? Thanks for the response. Inmigration agents dont understand that you can be nervous while being searched, simply because you dont do that every day. You dont buy a car every day , when you go buy a car , you feel that someone may take you for a ride.. They also dont get the culture point that gesticulating and dramatizing is quite normal in many cultures. Anglo saxons see girl walking past them and they dont say a word, while in other places the same girl will be horned ,hissed,approached or harassed....

No, it is usually a condition of entry to a country that you submit your baggage to inspection and possible destruction/damage by customs officers if they think it's necessary. Having travelled to over 20 countries I can say a damaged bag is a pretty good deal for your continued freedom =P

The woman in wig smuggles 1.1 Kg of Cocain (worth $275,000) and she is sentenced to 8 years in prison meanwhile this man smuggles 1.5 Kg of Heroin (worth $450,000), but he's also sentenced to 8 years in jail.
