  • used the beer belly line when insulteing people in high school

  • This segment is awesome !! Never seen it before !! Dont mess with BAD NEWS BROWN !!

  • "I mean he used to drive to Chevrolet Chevette, he's got a point." Gotta love Jesse. I think this moment started his practice as a conspiracy theorist.

  • BAD NEWS BROWN . SAME WAY PEOPLE GRAVITATED TOWARD CENA HEEL . THAT ONE MAN GANG MENTALITY IS ALWAYS OVER WITH OVER 18S

  • Can someone tell me how the hell Brother Love was always to keep his face red during every appearance he's made in the WWF? LOL

  • Notice Bad News mentions the Queen of England (UK) last. As if to say she is more important that the President of the US. Which she IS!

  • I use to watch wrestling in the old WWF days....I stopped watching in the mid-90s. It was getting shit. Bad News Brown was one of my old time favourites, along with Macho Man, Mr Perfect, Ravishing Rick Rude, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Jake the Snake and Brutus the Barber. But I have to say Bad News tops my "Alltime-favourite-wrestlers-list"

  • Tunney got physical with Bad News first. Bad News was right for doing what he did.

  • stone cold steve austin was no damn ORIGINAL..Bad News Brown was the first rebel, loner, type heel

  • On the take Tunney!

  • bnb ahead of his time

  • i guess u can choke ur boss and still have a job, BNB must have been in the union. They obviously made the point that tunney put his hands on him first. Kudos to his union, i wish mines was that good lol

  • Black dudes my get pushes but they never get the WWE Title push...sorry that's some big time bull...what was the difference between what BNB was doing ad stone cold...Absolutely nothing...and this dude never got a shot at being a heel champ???

  • An all star lineup in the Brother Love show, watching Brother Love smile while Bad News gives Tunney the business is what makes this whole bit a 5 star segment.

  • fed up with this race card shit. BNB wasnt champ cus he was black, wot about jake the snake, y was he never champ, cus hes white. if a black person owned wwf u think any of the wrestlers wud be white, hell no. they wud all be black, and you wouldnt hear white people moan. get over the colour of ur fucking skin, its old news.

  • cm punk bought me here everytime he drops names i look em up cuzz hes kewl lmao jack tunney

  • Bad News didn't care if you were even Satan himself... Bad News would've beat all the ugliness off him! Brown really was that believable!

  • @JulesGunn I think you're reading into it a bit much. LOTS of wrestlers don't get to be WWF champ. Like 95%. Many more whites were passed over than blacks. But McMahon has turned a lot of black guys into rich stars! If he was so racist, why would they get big pushes at all? The belt really isn't everything.

  • Bad News Brown was the baddest asskicker in the WWF and Brother Love looked like he used to tan next to the nuclear power plant...Awesome Combination!!

  • badnewsbrown was the shit. ill be honest. i love old skool til i die and wht i loved was the fact that back in the day it was bad guy vs good guy. now its wrestler vs wersler. bad news was a bad guy per say but he was willing to fuck up anyone in his path, he beat up bad guys and good guys. he was the first loner i loved that dude. i joke with cats now(i dont watch wwf anymore) but bad news always was the shit, besides macho man he was my favorite

  • "beerbelly sharecroppers' LOLZ

  • I always wondered why Mcmahon never said he was the president when in fact he was?? Tunney was only running the Canadian leg of things for the WWF. I guess at the time he liked commentating better!

  • "He's got a point, he used to drive a chevi sherbet" - Jessie Ventura

Omg Jessie Venturia was The Best Commentator EVER!

"No Body puts their hands on Bad News! Next Time I'll beat The Ugly out of ya" -Bad News Brown

    Classic

  • you can see the racial overtones in this angle .a white man of authority arrogantly puts his hands on this angry black man who only wears all black has a black glove meaning black power .who backs down or bows to nobody who don't give a shit about authority .puts his BOSS in check

  • LMAO "let me tell you somethin you spineless 2 legged ..RAT .Nobody.. i don't care if you are the president of the wwf .i don't care if your the president of the teamsters union .i couldnt care if your the president of the united states or the queen of england .nobody but nobody puts thier hands on bad news and if you do it again i'll beat all the ugliness off of you" .STR8 BAD ASS HEEL

  • i remember seeing this as a kid .this was shocking back then ..bad news brown puttin his hands on the President of the WWF and settin him str8

  • they really need to bring back the Brother Love show as a regular weekly event. We have nothing that even approaches this at present (even the feable attempts) :( so sad.

  • I can't believe that beer-bellied sharecropper Tunney was accepting favors from Elizabeth!

  • PURE GOLD!!!! One of my all-time favorite WWF spots.

  • @WWEJason I was kidding i thought everyone here was be smart enough to know that

  • Jack Tunney should be the raw gm

  • @Mattraction513 Jack Tunney is dead. How's he gonna be GM/

  • Man these guys knew how to work back then. I forgot just how good Bad News was, he was definitely underused in the WWF. He could work and wrestle as good as anyone.

  • Jack Tunney was beast, not many people know he owned one of the biggest promotions in Canada. He got hella more respect than any GM today.

  • @DominoRyder His uncle Frank owned it. He was tight with the NWA. Jack sold the promotion to Vince.

  • A Savage-Bad News feud would have been awesome.

  • @bertmustin I believe they did. but it was brief if you type in bad news vs savage above you will see some matches I know Savage and Brown had several matches in Boston after this but the feud was brief and it was only to fill the gap between the Mega Powers fallout. Also a week later Savage came out and attacked Brown after his remarks about Elizabeth.

  • should've made bad news the first black champion.

  • Beat that old man's a**, Bad News!

  • Tunney was a stooge for McMahon. If I had been Bad News I would've played the race card in public. And while I'm here, I never understood what religion and wrestling had in common.

  • @donn409 Too true. Tunney should've been FIRED back in 1988. Make Jesse 'The Body' Ventura the president of the WWF.

  • @Rlotpir1972 Ventura as president would've made things alot more interesting.

  • RIP Jack Tunney

  • BAD NEWS WOULD HAVE BEEN WAY BETTER WWF CHAMPION THAN STONE COLD.BAD NEWS WAS DA SHIT BEAT HIS ASS .PEEP JACK ON HIS KNEES LOL GET HIM BRO LOVE I USED TO LOVE DIS SHIT

  • Jack Tunney was nothing. Bad News was the man. Brother Love was a great Jim Baker like hustler. WWF at its best.

  • They don't make them like Bad News Brown anymore. RIP

  • You need guys like Jack Tunney on wrestling TV. They provide gravitas to the show which adds to the realism to the show. Not everyone can scream and do comedy promos.

  • Listen to that crowd...what the hell happened.

  • Brother Love was actually a decent wrestler in his own right

  • Why did they play that stupid music through the whole interview?

  • @beowulf20062006 what!?? that was cool!! i like that effect. i remember this!

  • Brother Love belongs in the WWE hall of fame. He was a riot back in the day.

  • 1 Beer Belly Share Cropper dislikes this video.

  • At 4:15, Tunney looks like he wants to give Bad News a chest massage.. LOL

  • RIP Bad News... He was the original stone cold.

  • @sdsuman1

I see Brown in the same way as the original Stone Cold.

Bad Bews Brown did'nt give a shit. He was from the streets of harlem and

could care less about any authority whatsoever. Love the WWF in the 80's and early 90's, lots of original charaters that can never be duplicated again.

  • @sdsuman1 Beer bellied sharecroppers. Spineless cockroaches. Yes, he really was. Stone Cold owes him a mountain of thanks!

  • bad news brown was the shyt..i remember him back in the day, he was ahead of his time as far as his character

  • man, where do you find this stuff. it only seemd like it was yesterday~

  • BROTHER LOVE!!! CLASSIC!!

  • I WISH BAD NEWS HAS A LONGER CAREER IN THE WWF / E ......I'M PRETTY SURE STONE COLD SAW ALL BAD NEWS OLD MATCHES MADE THEM HIS OWN.....

  • IIIIIIIIII LOOOOOOOOOVE YOUUUUUUUUU!!!

  • 80's & 90's best time to have been a kid ... best time to have been a wrestling fan ... best time to have been alive! Sub to my Channel if ya feel me!

  • i'm a beer bellied sharecropper!

  • OMG That was awesome!! Again, thanks Crowbar!!!

  • I concur that bad new was waaaaay before his time. LOL at Brother love..how he was talking in Tunney's ear after he got jacked up by Bad News.

  • 1988

  • Bad News Brown should have won a tittle, Intercontienntal or the heaveyweight one. He deserved a shot at the gold at least, if it were up2 me, I would have given him a title match.

  • legendary stuff......so glad i grew up in that era and didnt miss it.

  • rip to two canadians, bad news and tunney

  • Tunney deserved every bit of that. He shouldn't had put his hands on Bad News..LOL

  • bad news brown left wwe after summer slam in 1998 he claim Mcmahon never let up to his promises on being the first black WWE champion. bad news also said one time i getting pay checks with $250 dollars in the mail and said mcmahon excuse was that had something to do with No holds barred movie failure. Bad news said in last day in wwe he put his hands on mcmahon for lieing and patterson yell at him to get out.

  • @boneplayer032003 Bad News Brown should've gave both McMahon and Patterson ghetto-blasters for that kind of crap. I would've done the same thing too if I was screwed out of the contendership for a WWF title. I'd have the last laugh.

  • Bad news Brown was great on the Mic!! This is what the WWE is missing today. Good promos and storyline. If they cut the shock value crap and stick to good story line like this, maybe they would still be good

  • and to figure also bruce prichard was the same guy to realease the spoiler about undertakers wresltlemania retirement

  • this video is what brought oput the african american thing of discrimination in wwf and still going on in wwe with son vince mcmahon now. no true african american main champion unlessyou count booker t

  • I love Bad News Brown, and I miss wrestling when it was like this. Wrestling was so much better to watch those days. Bad News Brown was a true badass!

  • "Tunney used to drive a chevy chevet he's got a point" Jesse Ventura classic

  • "Absolutely Nothing" - exactly all he could do when attacked by Bad News Brown.

That incompetent boob Jack Tunney ( and obviously racist too, wouldn't give a black man a match for the World title ) couldn't operate a hot dog stand. His mind was going too, suspending Marty Janetty for bleeding after Shawn Michaels threw him through a window and suspending Bam Bam for getting wet after Doink threw water on him. He should have been fired!

  • stone cold stole bad news browns persona!!!!!

  • @edwardowade I agree stone cold copied bad news brown, if you look at it steve austin nickname stone cold, bad news, the shaved head, the black tights the mean attitude and a lot of other things, in wrestling its always good to be original, bad news was original, its sad that vince did do much with bad news even though he should have, Bad news persona beats any of todays stars

  • @edwardowade no

  • @edwardowade - SCSA does Bad News Brown better than Bad News Brown, fella...

  • @JulesGunn Give creidit where it`s due stone cold stole his act from BNB!

  • @edwardowade - really?!? Aside from the bald head and black drunks I don't see too many similarities. I was a fan of Bad News Brown but Vince is as racist as they come and I knew back then he would never elevate a black man to the top so why even bother rooting for him...To this day there has never been a full-blooded black WWE champ...oh sure he'll put the WHC strap on a buffoon like Booker T but never his coveted WWE title...

  • @JulesGunn During the Hulkamania peak, Hogan was just as black as Bad News. And significantly darker than Butch Reed. Yeah, he may have been blond and not exactly "natural" (Hogan, that is, but Reed too), but there's no denying the chromometer. Isn't it a bit racist to declare only people with recent African ancestors can become the first black champ? The WWF is based in the "land of opportunity", my friend!

  • @Inediblehulk - nice try, fella. it's racist when Vince makes a point to adorn watered-down half-ricans like the cRock with his precious WWE strap but not Junkyard Dog, Farooq, Bad News Brown, MVP, Mark Henry, etc...

  • So was Elizebeth pimped out by Macho man to do favors for the WWF president? When did he sell WWF to Vince McMahon and y did Vince change to WWE after he bought it and sell the WWF name to the animal people? Jack Tunney was a corrupt it made me mad as hell to know he slept w/ Elizebeth. It took a man of the cloth Brother Love to find out.

  • Tunney looks like Richard Nixon's brother

  • bad news was so cool. he was cool as hell in real like too.

  • LOL @ Brother Love from 4:52 to 5:09! Funny as shit. And I LOVE Bad News.

  • Interesting question here:

Who would win a match between Brown and The Undertaker?

  • beer-belly sharecroppers :-)

  • Brother Love and Bad News Brown the good ol' days.

  • bad news brown=terrible wrestler great mic skills and great gimmick and stone cold steve austin's gimmick is a definite ripoff of bad news brown

  • @mastawizdum Brown was a judokas before he was a pro wrestler. Bronze medal in the Olympics and was trained by Antonio Inoki in Japan. Legit tough guy,he was going to kick Andre the Giant's ass for calling hin the N word. Check out his work in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling.

  • you really think im not aware of that i got his shoot interview and i read his biography im just his wrestling ability isnt very good but i like his gimmick and the way he talked i do my research and grew up watchin him in the wwf in the late 80's so i should know

  • I remember watching this when I was 11 years old. That was cool. This was before the Steve Austin / Vince McMahon rivalry.

  • Love the background music...

  • jack tunney pass away year ago

  • WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO JACK TUNNY ???

  • @Djteedoe420 died a few years ago

  • It is sad to say that when Jack passed away in January 2004 not a single employee from the WWE was present at his funeral in Toronto Canada he was indeed the best authority figure in the history of professional wrestling !!!!

  • @samiullahmir You're right. We as kids actually believed that Jack Tunney was the legitimate president of the WWF.

  • Damn, this is so much like Stone cold Steve Austin, I half expect the audience to yell "What" after everything Bad News Brown say's.

Or should I saw, Steve Austin is so much like Bad News Brown.

  • This clip makes it clear why modern WWE is so shit. Why? Because 1- the Brother Love show was where big things happened and led to storylines being created and developed, 2- Bad News Brown was a superb heel who set the blueprint for Stone Cold, 3- Jack Tunney was a better "authority figure" than any "General Manager" or "Evil Heel Owner" or "Guest Host" since, and 4- "World Wrestling Federation" sounded a million times better than "World Wrestling Entertainment"

  • two letters PG, the Guest host thing is getting old, as far as teh GM thing, Steph, Bishoff, Regal and Teddy long were the only good ones, Vince running things worked because he did abuse his power, mostly when it involved Austin or anyone he was feuding with, the Vince, Austin storyline worked as well as it did, because so many people could relate to hating your boss and you wanting to give him the finger or punch them in the mouth, and get away with it.

  • @DarthCipient

If you don't trust your pro wrestlers to do a lot of their own promos without stupid scriptwriters, you cannnot get good and interesting storylines; actually in WWE today their are no storylines.

  • @DarthCipient Couldn't agree with you more! On all 4 points made.

  • @DarthCipient well you can blame the world wildlife fund for the name change

  • @DarthCipient While Bad News Brown's character was a blue print for Stone Cold - so was Big Daddy Cool Diesel - BEFORE his face turn. He was mean, nasty & intimidating - came out w/ the black leather vest, the smashing of the glass during his intro - & fans grew to respect how he dominated/beat up opponents (1994 Royal Rumble & Survivor Series). Then after being WWF Champ he changed from mean to nice & did the corporate image that Vince alluded to early in the Austin anti-hero champ storyline

  • @bwashinski

sid before in 1992, razor in 1993

  • We've heard all about good news, now, we're going to hear about Bad News.

  • Steve Austin's gimmick mirrors Bad News in so many ways... am I the only one who noticed that? I guess if Stone Cold were still around, he'd be heel in this PG era of WWE, since attacking officials is supposed to be taboo again.

  • I noticed that a few years ago yes. I'm glad someone else agrees. Bad News was the heel pre version of Stone Cold. Like Stone Cold, Bad News was a lone Wolf, defied authority, but then, most if not all, heels did, also the shaven head to give a menacing look. They mirrored each other in many ways.

  • According to bret harts second book.. Bad news brown was like this in real life. He would talk like this to waitresses, hotel staff, and even challenged Andre the giant to a real life fist fight for using the word nigger. Andre wouldnt fight him. He was also a bronze medalist in judo and was a real life tuff dude.

  • @1978mackdaddy I Think Bad news Whould have beat the shit out of andre haha

  • I had a lot of respect for the WWE/F during this time. BNB IMO was in the top 5 all time as far as promos go.

  • Bad News Brown was AWESOME

  • ha ha ha...

" spinless cochroach" i never forget that

  • Austin/Vince stole this from BNB. Austin seems like a BNB rip off and BNB beating up the so called boss at that time. Vince just recycled this in the attitude era.

  • All the Attitude era was was recycled crap, only they made it more "controversial." Let's not forget the scantily clad, middle-aged plastic broads (Sable) they showcased. This era of WWF was the best as it was all wrestling, none of this crap they have now.

  • That is so very true and what I have argued with "SMART" wrestling fan's about for years!!!! Great comment!!!!Awesome comparsion of the truth!!!!

  • It was 1988,bad news wasn't even in the wwf in 92 !.

  • your right it was 88

  • lmao @ him saying 92. wtf?

  • @crowbar2009 Yes you are correct Bad News was long gone by 1992.

  • I confirm this as well. Bad News Brown was not with the WWF in 92. And let the record show also, Vader was not the first WWE to attack a WWE president as many claimed. Bad News Brown was!

  • @crowbar2009 Thank you for clearing that up! lol. Bad News was NOT in fact in the WWF by 1992 because I believe he either left on his own or was fired, correct?

  • Fair point

  • @Indo77 was not 92' lol.

  • @Indo77 The Brother Love show ended in 1991.

  • I dont tihnk so dude. Bad news was gone by then 92. And why would he be talking about WM 4. If it wasnt 1988.

  • @Indo77 Brother Love was phased out in 1991 and Bad News Brown left the WWF towards the end of 1990. This segment was definitely 1988.

  • @Indo77 Yea this is without a dout 1988. I remember this. This started the whole Liz is a slut story. Savage's stor line would soon switch to the twin towers after this.

  • @99virgo Hi, I replied to crowbar a while back but the reply did not show up. I accept it was 1988.

  • @Indo77 ...HAHA you're hilarious.

  • No one but no one in todays wwe can hold a candle to bad news brown's mic skills. he was the best.

  • Thats right Bad News Brown was one of the coolest heels that ever existed. I still remember his feuds with Roddy Piper and Brett Hart. He is also one of the most slept on former superstars ever. Vince should put him in the hall of fame.

  • "Tunney used to drive a Chevy Chevette, he's got a point" Hahahahaha!

  • Bad News was the man! Mic skills were ahead of his time. So entertaining. R.I.P. Bad News Brown.

  • Owen Hart stole the enziguiri (ghetto blaster) from Bad News Brown.

  • fuck, I forgot how awesome Bad News was. like a lot of other people have said about him - wayyyyyyyy ahead of his time.

  • I LOOOOOOOVE YOOOOOOU

    man i miss classic WWF....

  • Tunney and Liz? I didnt know?

  • Bad News Brown was one tough SOB and the Ghetto Blaster was a cool finisher.

    R.I.P. Bad News.

  • Jack Tunney was such a tool. What a windbag; I'm glad Bad News gave him what he deserved. Good for you, Bad News. If he wasn't giving you a title shot, put him in his place!

  • Bad News Brown was the anti-hero before Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Rock. This guy deserves more credit than he gets. He was way before his time.

  • exactly-thats what i been tellin everybody..stone cold even had the same look!

  • And the following week Bad News calls out Macho man and says the same thing that Elizabeth is doing favors for Tunney. Savage jumps Bad news and there is a brawl until the bolsheviks, rockers, danny davis, etc. come out to break it up...

    I got that match...

  • 4:24 Let me tell you somethin you spineless, two legged.............rat.. LOL

  • ha ha ha! right on! :)

  • Normally I wouldn't give two shits about the Olympics but Brown was the exeption.

  • Yes they did House Show matches against each other. Remember this was before 12 ppv's a year. in fact at this time the Royal Rumble was a month a way from it's first ppv.

  • Was this meant to set up a match between Savage and Brown? I never saw a tv/payperview between them. Savage defended the belt against Andre, Dibiase,Akheem, and Bigbossman but i don't recall a match with Brown. Did any match or futher angle resulted from this?

  • They had a million matches on House Shows for the WWF title, including a match where Bad News pulled the barricades around the ringside area and attacked Savage with it. Bad News says that Savage didn't like Bad News "badmouthing" Elizabeth, so he shot on Bad News in the match. Big mistake. There was a match between Bad News and Savage that was shown on MSG Classic, where Bad News actually brought a garbage can to the ring.

  • @88KAMALA main evented at MSG in harlem street fight and a few house shows

  • @88KAMALA I remember watching a street fight between them on videotape where Bad News brought in a table and propped it up against the turnbuckles. The ref ended up driven into the table when he got caught standing in the way of Savage being Irish Whipped into the table, which ended up costing Brown the title. Maybe Public Enemy and the Dudley Boyz saw this and decided to establish a career based off that spot.

  • I think he was referring to the Harlem Olympics on 125th Street :P LOL...1973 Olympics. How funny

  • He won bronze in Judo at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal

  • Haha, Jack Tunney was doing it a decade before McMahon thought of it.

  • Bad News won a Bronze at the Olimpic's of 73 I think. It was in the Heavyweight devision. I always knew he was a bad ass

  • Brother Love aka Bruce Pritchard never got the credit he deserved. He was brilliant as Brother Love.

  • Absolutely hilarious! Bad News Brown, a man ahead of his time.

  • 4.08 Elizabit? Huh?

  • Huh? What the hell are you talking about?

  • Dude listen closely! He says Elizabit ! He pronounces her name without the TH .This is what makes these interviews so comical, whether he did it on purpose or not! I miss this stuff!

  • hahaha, im thinking about that now....maybe he really wanted to say "elizabit-ch!" but he couldnt get that hardcore for the children watching lol

  • Crowbar, do you take requests?
